It’s crazy how everytime I come to cvs or just drive by it there’s a line out to the street, with Covid and these hard times I’m sure there are better ways and procedures we could take to speed things up I shouldn’t have to sit in a line for an hr and a half everytime… update 45 min later still in line this is outrageous!!!

Has gone downhill so far, I will not be back. I have to call and request a medication to be filled every month, which lately means at least an hour spent on hold before anyone even picks up. Then, if Im lucky they would actually have some in stock, if not, 2 days minimum to order more. They will refuse to transfer your Rx to another store. The pharmacist (female, curly hair) is a Karen from Hell. She will stop her job to come shout lies, and your personal medical information to the whole store, if you ask a question she doesnt like. (Specifically, she said that Rx medication is first come, first served, which is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever heard from a pharmacist. Enjoy explaining how that works to the Attorney General) She also recommended that I have my doctor switch my Rx to another pharmacy, so I did. Goodbye, CVS. You will not get another dime from me, even for makeup. I will drive all the way to Ulta, instead. Wont miss you, either! Your store is also a hideous eyesore, and would better serve the community as a parking lot than the pharmacy it wishes it was.

Horrible. Went to get the Covid vaccine. 0 people waiting still took an hour to get it, absolutely no excuse. The whole time I waited I could hear the phone saying “6 pharmacy calls” so obviously they don’t answer the phone either.

They waited until the very last day to fill a med that I need to take daily. I found out today that their Pharmacy hours are now 10AM - 6PM. When I went there at 5PM, I was the 10th person in line in the store and there were at least 8 cars in the drive thru. Just out of curiosity, I went to Walgreens and found there was no one in line waiting for prescriptions and that their Pharmacy is open from 9AM-9PM. I highly suggest that anyone reading this review to transfer your prescriptions to Walgreens.

The lines are always incredibly long in the store (1-2 hours), wait times on hold during phone calls, before ever getting even a hello please hold, easily extend up over 2 hours on a DAILY basis. Reaching out on twitter or their hotline to complain makes absolutely no difference what so ever. I have personally walked in after 2 hours of being on hold (while still on hold) and the store has been completely empty with staff standing around or on their computers with no customers in sight. I have even shown them I was still on hold for over 2 hours and the staff becomes angry, rude, and defensive at seeing the results of their negligence. I am currently on hold with the store and still have not been answered. Currently it has been 1:18:04... This type of negligent behavior is allowed to go on and remains unchecked by corporate. Walgreens needs to do themselves a favor and get a contract with HIP providers so that customers can leave this terrible store behind and get some real help. CVS is like comcast. Terrible service but what choice do you have? This is a great example of what a monopoly looks like.

The staff is always super nice. But slow! And I have never waited on hold as long for any other company! It is ridiculous! I could have driven to town at this point! I have down so many other things including this review while listening to that gawdawful automated vaccine message. Please address this problem. I have been a store manager for 9 years and would be ashamed if someone waited on hold routinely like this considering the medications people are often calling about are the difference between life and death. Do better please.

If I could give no ⭐ I would Ive been on hold literally 3 an half hours trying to get meds for my Aunt... Im still waiting an refuse to hang up till I talk to someone. This is outrageous. Very poor service. She has been a value customer for years and this is truly sad that Im having such trouble to get someone on the line to get meds taken care of.

I have their hold music haunting my dreams and their automated services script memorized at this point. Im unable to do my job as Im waiting on someone on the CVS end to do theirs by answering the phone. Were 22 minutes into round 2 of being on hold (called yesterday, remained on hold for 43 minutes without hearing a single employee answer the phone). Im a God-fearing woman, but by golly do I want to throw hands every time I hear, Get a free Covid-19 vaccine at a CVS near you. Walk-ins are welcomed or schedule an appointment at CVS.com. Walk-in vaccinations subject to availability. cycle back on the line.Edit: Took 29 minutes for someone to answer. Be prepared for long holds if you need to speak with a human. Also, they have COVID-19 Vaccines, just in case you miss that little announcement during your hold time.

Sat on hold 45 minutes just to be hung up on. Prescriptions take days to fill? I can’t switch for insurance purposes but it’s absolutely ridiculous.

This CVS is one if the best. The employees are friendly, caring and helpful. I always have employees asking if I need assistance finding product and make sure I find what I’m looking for. Drug stores have come a long way and this is at the top.The pharmacy staff are excellent, too. The pharmacists are always willing to explain anything about your scripts, and in a friendly easy manner. The techs are always helpful, too. These people are always so busy behind the counter, you never see them standing around just chatting, they are always working on something, and still find time to answer questions or offer assistance. They fill a lot of scripts, so be patient if it takes a while to fill your walk-in script. Thanks CVS staff!

CVS must have it in fine print somewhere that they only hire the most incompetent people available. Ive never encountered a business/pharmacy as awful as CVS(every CVS, including other states) . Its near impossible to go to the pharmacy and not have to wait at least 10 minutes in line to pick up a script. Or to expect them to fill a script, and then they dont. Nor do they call you if theres insurance issue. Seriously the worst pharmacy you could ever go to.

Edit Oct 14 2020-I had a really good experience with CVS in Peru last night. I experienced a very pleasant phone call with the Pharmacy part which I usually dread. But this time was very different. The employee named Patty was extremely helpful, cheerful, pleasant, eager to help. She seemed excited to be there at her job. She went out of her way to do what she could to help me. I really appreciate all the time she took to help me. Im glad we have people like Patty working at CVS in our town. CVS in Peru is making a major turn around.

After seeing all of these negative comments about our local CVS, I just wanted to come on here and say that I have never experienced any of the aforementioned negative experiences. I go to the pharmacy weekly for my chronic conditions and have been doing so since we moved to Peru, IN four years ago. The pharmacy staff always goes above and beyond to make sure your prescription is filled. If you run out they gladly call your provider to get additional refills and they are always so friendly even when having to deal with unhappy and sometimes downright rude and entitled customers. I have never been treated with anything but a smile by every single one of them ranging from pharmacy techs two pharmacists. A special shout out to Jenna who besides being super friendly is also very intelligent and will not stop working until she gets you what you need. We are very lucky to have CVS in our small town in with the high volume of customers they deal with daily I think they are doing a fantastic job. People will always find fault in everything but overall our CVS in Peru Indiana is fantastic. Thank you for staying open during the coronavirus pandemic and ensuring that the citizens of Peru receive their life-saving medications when other pharmacies closed. You guys are amazing and appreciated. Thank you!

Consistently not filling prescriptions. Getting as bad as McDonalds. Even if there is no one in line it takes 30 mins and you better double check to make sure you got everything.....Edit- During covid pandemic they have really stepped up their game. Still need to work on communications between prescribes but improving

The Peru, Indiana CVS is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I’m on oxygen & it takes a lot for me to get out and make the drive into town. This store has some employees in the pharmacy that are horribly rude & disrespectful.I have paid for my prescription online prior to pickup only to be told that they have no record of me paying even though I had the online email confirmation and receipt. They forced me to pay again for same script at the drive thru window to get medicine I had to have as I was just released from the hospital. If you try to call with a question you’re on hold for over a half hour. This isn’t even all of the horror stories from this pharmacy. They need new management.

Edit* 1 year later and im ecstatic to say that they are super pleasant when letting you knowthat yet again i will have to come back a 3rd promise time (today) to get my perscriptions. Thank you for being polite while disrespecting my time and not following through with your promise time. Progress.Always a slow process. They dont have prescriptions ready when promised. Always an unpleasant experience.

I have been using this pharmacy for nearly a year and have had nothing but trouble the entire time. Scripts are rarely ready when they are supposed be. Their customer service is lacking. I spent 20 minutes on hold waiting to speak with someone in regards to a refill. I then called back 3 hours later to verify my script was ready and after 15 minutes of waiting I finally hung up.

I’m sick and tired of calling cvs pharmacy. You never answer your phone. It’s getting so annoying when I have to call and call again just because you won’t answer your phone. You need to start answering your phone. Do your job and answer your phone.

Absolutely terrible Pharmacy. Had waited 3+ hours for a prescription to be filled that they never actually looked at. Told me after an additional 45 minutes of waiting that they would now not be able to fill the prescription until tomorrow. Never go here if you have any sort of options besides them, do not give them any money!

Worst place in the damn world. I am a photographer and gave a client full rights to my pictures and they STILL refused to let them print out the pictures. So this place can go fuc* themselves!! Go get your pictures printed someplace else!
