Made appointments for myself and my wife. Called and rescheduled due to time conflict. Another two week wait. Checked with our Insurance’s (they were in our network/Medicare & Supplemental).When all was said and done we were informed our insurance only covered if medical. Wife needs Eye Surgery, we were told ASAP. (they referred-another two week wait). So here we are… I paid my exam bill without their $366.00 glasses only to find another “IN NETWORK” provider. Maybe their “referral “ Optometrist will be less “Optical Illusion “ & more clear eyes!TWO UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS

Made the switch here a few months ago and have been very happy with it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Broke my glasses last week and they got me in very quick. Derek helped me today and was very pleasant. Dr was great as well. Took his time and explained things in detail.

The rating for this is specifically because of Joe B Jackson, that did the exam. I would NEVER suggest anyone going to this doctor, I am hesitant to even call him a doctor. I went a couple of weeks ago, he seemed distracted, unfocused, mentioned (ALOUD) that he was entering the wrong information into the computer??? Made odd jokes that I did not appreciate, mumbled to himself throughout the entire time I was in the room with him ! I am not being rude, only honest, he clearly needs to retire. I received my glasses and something seems very wrong, I haven’t gone back because I don’t want this incompetent person doing my exam! Also when I would ask him questions, he seemed agitated, he seems to have a huge ego and does not like to be questioned on anything? After all, they are MY eyes NOT his ! Would strongly suggest not going here, unless you get a different doctor!! My wife was going to go after me and now she definitely will not !

I took my daughter there and was extremely rushed they rushed the process of picking out a frame with a 6 year old and made it really hard to talk to her about them. And he pretty much let her picked them out and didnt seem to care that I didnt care for them.. She only picked them because the color. Now I have to do an exchange.

This was my first time at Bard Optical. I was very pleased with the service and staff. Everyone was very helpful. I will definitely recommend Bard Optical.

I won’t go into detail about my issue with them but I will not be going back and I do not recommend anyone going to this place.

I just tried to make an appointment with mary and received horrible customer service dont recommend this place at all. Nobody has time for attitude.

The staff is very friendly and professional. I was able to schedule an appointment the next day after calling. My glasses only took a week to come in, at Walmart it was almost a month. I recommend this place for your eye needs.

Brought my daughter here for her Kindergarten exam and everyone was super friendly and in my experience the DR was Great with her shes a shy girl and The Dr had her happy the whole time!! Super Affordable prices and over all great service My Entire family goes here and i recommend this Optical Clinic to Everyone 😁😁😁

The previous review about the Dr being rude to kids is accurate. My husband just took my kids for an eye exam and he said that he was very rude to our kids.According to my husband the kids were behaving. For my appt he was professional and nice. I just dont appreciate his behavior towards my kids.

Excellent customer service with all precautions

Was recommended to try this place and boy are we happy we went! Appointment was made with ease and we were told our insurance would be handled before we came in for the appt. Sorry I missed his name. At appointment time we we greeted by Party and what a great time we had. Shes professional and at the same time quite fun to speak with. Next we had Dr. Jackson and he was pleasant and thourough. He answered all questions and explained alot we never knew. Then we picked out glasses with the help of Mariah and Elsa. We were completely at ease and had actual fun looking for glasses. They also explained all of our choices and our insurance. Thank you all for a great experience and will recommend to others!! Cant wait to see you all when we pick up our new glasses. Nick and Kathy

I was on vacation from Michigan, visiting Starved Rock State Park. An eyepad broke off my glasses. Bard optical replaced it at no charge and with a friendly smile. I highly recommend them.

Will never go back it was my first time my son needed a school check up. First of all the eye Dr seemed annoyed n grouchy from the start then proceeded to ask my five year old questions that to me as an adult were confusing. When my son couldnt answer his questions he got extremely rude pulled the machine off his face n said the exam is over hes fine!! If you have lil kids I do not recommend taking them here

Been coming here for several years. They have the absolute most knowledgable, friendly, courteous & overall best staff ever! That includes everyone from the doctor all the way to the secretarial staff.

This place used to be decent, but since covid has gone completely down hill. Today they outright discriminated against my wife and one year old. My wife went in to get a copy of her test results and pick out glasses, they told her she couldnt do any of that because she had our one year old with her. No where is it posted that she couldnt bring him in, she was turned away and told she can come back when she has someone to watch him. I work full-time and we dont have anyone who can watch him. So they refused service to her, because she is a mother who had her child with her. They have also messed up my most recent glasses, as well as my mothers who I had recently reffered to them. I regret ever referring anyone to them, and I will be sure everyone I know takes their business elsewhere.
