A few weeks prior to my appointment, I went in with a friend who was also dress shopping. Although the emails say to only bring four because of COVID, she brought five and there was no problem. When I went in, I assumed that would be okay and also brought five guests as well but upon arrival and meeting Stacey, she was upset and said the emails stated only to bring four guests. I understand that but I didn’t know why it was a big deal with my appointment and not my friends, and there were already five chairs set up in front of the fitting room anyway. Other than that she was helpful when finding dresses I liked in my price range and I still purchased a dress that day for an amazing price, just a very awkward start and I didn’t understand why she had to say anything when she made exceptions for some and had the store ready for five guests.

Stacy at The Gown Shop is awesome! She just knew everything my daughter would love and really took that extra time to get to know her. She made everyone feel so comfortable and to have that one on one time just makes your shopping experience so special. She found the perfect gown and made the experience the absolute best! Ever since my visit to the gown shop bridal, I have not stopped raving about my experience to anyone who will listen. I went to three different dress shops and TGSB surpassed all of them. Stacy has so much experience, knowledge and passion for the industry. She sat down with me and my family to discuss my vision before even trying anything on. The private shopping environment made me feel less insecure and rushed. I am usually stressed and overwhelmed while shopping, but Stacy made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. She is an expert clipper and made dresses 4x my size look like they were made for me and it really helped me visualize the dresses better. I really thought I was never going to love my dress after my experience at other stores, but Stacy found two dresses that I fell in love with. She was so patient; I tried on my two favorite dresses multiple times while making a decision. My wedding dress is the first dress I ever said I love this out loud. Stacy is an absolute angel and I cant wait until my dress arrives.

Very disappointed on the customer service here. They treated my fiance as if she was a child after she came in to the shop respecting her appointment. Even though she found a dress somewhere else she was hoping to get another one for our reception so that she can dance nicely in without getting her ceremony dress dirty. Once they found out she already had a ceremony dress they quickly stopped treating her like a customer. They wouldnt even let her see vails and then informed her that the appointment was a was of time. They ended up charging her $100 since she didnt cancel the appointment. The only bridal shops where more respectful and didnt make her cry after going in. Dont waste your time and go to the countless other stores that will treat you like the bride you are.

I highly recommend The Gown Shop! I had my appointment Saturday and it was such a great experience. Stacy is very knowledge and listens to your feedback on each dress. She uses your feedback to help find the perfect dress. During my appointment I was able to try on about ten different dresses. All of the dresses were gorgeous and within my price range. Stacy asked my budget right away and only put me in dresses which were within my budget. I ended up loving two dresses and was having a hard time choosing. She was very patient as I tried both dresses back on multiple times. I did not feel any pressure to choose a dress before leaving the store. Stacy told me to go home and think about it and gave great advice about how to choose. I ended up texting the store to order my dress a few hours later after I could not stop thinking about one dress. The shop itself is gorgeous. I loved how intimate the appointment felt. The store being closed during your appointment allows you to feel special and not rushed at all. Again I highly recommend The Gown Shop!

I highly recommend The Gown Shop! It was the most perfect experience from the moment we walked in. The shop is beautiful and Stacy is amazing! She had my favorite music playing and was so wonderful to work with. She really listened to my vision I had for my dress and wedding day. I highly recommend you choose the Gown Shop. My dress is going to be perfect for our wedding day in the mountains this July and I have Stacy to thank for that! She is amazing at what she does!!! So so thankful!

I was very hesitant about writing this review, but I think it’s important to share my experience at the Gown Shop. Let me start by saying I’ve passed by this shop for several years and really looked forward to my special time to go in and find my gown. The first dress Stacy put me in is the gown I ended up selecting. There were some aspects of the dress I didn’t love but Stacy reassured me that the gown was very customizable, and I could change the neckline, add straps, open the back etc. She told me that these are her favorite gowns to help design and reassured me she had plenty of experience with ordering and could certainly make my vision come alive. I put down half the payment in February 2021 and paid the remaining balance April 1st, 2021. I was told the gown would be at the shop in July. I started calling the gown shop towards the end of June to inquire about my dress- no answer. After 4th of July weekend, I became a bit more persistent with my phone calls- called daily. I started leaving voicemails, emailing and texting the Gown Shop number that was used to make my initial appointment. No response in any form. It got to the point where I had to call the designer of my gown who reassured me that they would get in touch with Stacy to reach out to me. It was 4:30 on Friday July 23rd when she finally called to let me know that my gown was never ordered, and it would be impossible for my gown to be made in a short time frame. This was devastating for multiple reasons. She had known for several weeks that there was an issue but didn’t let me know because she was trying to solve things on her end but by doing this, she deprived me of precious time I could’ve had to get a new dress. I will say that she offered a few solutions. First, she offered to get the sample gown I tried on, but without the custom changes the designer was going to make. Stacy also offered 4 different dresses I could have from her shop that were in my size but very different from what I wanted. While these offers were appreciated, none of them were what I wanted, and I don’t believe these limited choices we’re a sufficient offer to remedy the egregious error that was made. Even if I would have been happy with one of the few options she offered, I still would have been incapable of trusting her to carry out her responsibilities as a gown provider without making another mistake with so little time before my wedding. I tried to offer her the opportunity to make things right and to correct this error, by paying for my new gown from another shop, which was only a fourth of the cost of the dress I originally purchased from her, and she declined to do anything beyond what she first offered. My custom-made gown was the aspect of my wedding day I was most looking forward to, and Stacy assured me that she could make it a reality. To learn that the gown that I paid for in full several months prior wasn’t even ordered, was devastating. I understand we are all human, and mistakes do unfortunately happen, but Stacy’s lack of communication left me incredibly anxious, and her unwillingness to work together on finding a solution that worked for ME was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, my experience at the Gown Shop is one I wouldn’t wish on any other bride.

Perfection is the one word answer to my experience at the gown shop! I had been to a few places previous to the gown shop, but knew in my heart this is where I should go.Previous to the gown shop experience dress shopping was not enjoyable, stressful and I felt worried I wasn’t going to find a dress.The minute I walked into the gown shop I already felt relaxed, and excited. Stacy welcomes you with a huge smile, her energy alone is amazing!Also the first dress I tried in was the one!Not what I had picked but Stacy did amazing! Just wow! I started my day with The Gown shop since I had heard such amazing things from other brides. Stacey was so attentive and really made the experience that much more fun. I can’t tell you how amazing my experience was with Stacy at The Gown Shop! I was a ball of anxiety going into dress shopping but the moment I walked in those doors, Stacy made me feel like a queen! I do not agree with this owners’ $100 charge if the appointment is not cancelled within 48 hours. I had family coming from out of town to look at dresses with me, so I booked multiple all in one day. I ended up finding my dress before this appointment and called to cancel (which of course was the same day - 4 hours before). She still charged the $100 fee even though I told her I found my dress. I understand you’re trying to make a living, but it’s not a very great client experience when I (being the bride) am so happy to have found the gown, and all you care to talk about is how I will still be charged for cancelling the appointment. We’re all in this together. When I called the other bridal boutique and told them I needed to cancel that appointment, too, they were so happy for me (that I found my dress) and would’ve only charged me their $100 appointment setup fee if I didn’t show up. Their representative was also very appreciative that I called and let them know. Even though I never went to the other bridal boutique or this one, I’d still recommend they go to the boutique who was respectful and happy for me - they didn’t act like I was another person to take money from.

Dress shopping at The Gown Shop was all I could dream of and more. My fiancé works on the same downtown strip as The Gown Shop and I have been dreaming of going there to dress shop for many years! I found a dress ahead of time that I loved on their instagram page. It was the first dress I tried on and I fell in love. Stacy also helped me try on other style dresses so I could be sure of my choice. Stacy was so sweet, let me discuss with my family while she also inserted a bit of her wisdom. After I said yes to the dress we went out to checkout and she wrote Future Mrs. ____ (my future last name) on her letter board! It was a very sweet little quirk. I thought the prices were just in line with what I imaged and there was a nice size selection. I would highly recommend any bride come find their dream dress at this store!

TGS exceeded my expectations! My mom and I were supposed to go dress shopping in Atlanta but because of the pandemic, we modified our plan to stay in Ohio. The Gown Shop was at the top of my list. Stacy was able to schedule me for an appointment the next day and I shared some bridal gown inspirations, wedding details, and planned dress budget. The appointment was completely private and Stacy picked out a handful of dresses that matched the photos I sent and were in my price range! She was so attentive, compassionate, and asked thoughtful questions to help me think about each dress that I tried on. I wasn’t able to say “yes” the day of my appointment because I LOVED a couple dresses and thought it would be best to sleep on it. Stacy was completely understanding and never pushed me to make a decision that I wasn’t ready to make. I came back a day or two later and ended up saying “YES” to the first dress I tried on. Stacy is magic!!I picked up my dress from TGS last week and I’m SO excited for my wedding day. While I was there for my bridal gown try-on, I also tried on veils. Stacy walked me through all the possibilities and helped me order my dream veil! The whole experience was everything I could have hoped for and this was such a smooth process. From the moment I came into contact with the Gown Shop I was made to feel special. Stacy called me after filling out an application for an appointment online to get a clear concept of my ideal dress and price range. On my arrival to the store the special treatment continued. My experience at the Gown Shop Perrysburg with the owner Stacy was absolutely amazing. The entire appointment was intimate and she was very knowledgeable of the gowns in her shop and what I described I wanted. She helped me into every single gown (which not all bridal shops do) and was so kind. The entire experience was unlike any other (I went to one other bridal appointment after I bought my dress at the Gown Shop due to out of town guests I wanted to make both appointments in one day and could not cancel the second one due to the charge of canceling later than 48 hours before the appointment.) I still went into the other appointment with an open mind but the experience did not compare in the slightest to the Gown Shop. I am so happy I found the most perfect dress and had the greatest experience! The dresses at the gown shop compared to the other store I went to were on a different level. Truely blessed for this experience in finding my wedding dress!

The Gown Shop was the only shop I went to, because my experience was so amazing. Stacy helped me find exactly what I was looking for within my price range. After I tried on every beautiful dress, she would ask questions to find out how I felt about each dress. We started the day here and in hindsight should have never left. The whole experience felt very intimate, we enjoyed the special attention. There is ample seating for the reveal, and Stacy was very helpful getting in and out of the dresses. We did end up here at the end of the day and our bride said yes to her dress. I just wanted to share what a wonderful experience I had finding my dress at the Gown Shop. I anticipated many many different trips to bridal salons before I could find what I was looking for but alas on the first try Stacey pulled the exact type of dress I had in my head. She was very patient and super helpful and didn’t push us to make a decision that day but I decided to just go for it since the dress was exactly what I wanted. Prices are fair and selection seemed pretty expansive in different types since I surely didn’t think I’d find my very simple sheath gown in a day. Thanks so much TGS!

My daughter made an appointment over the phone for an appointment and was told by the owner that there would be a cancellation fee of $50.00 if the appointment was not cancelled 24 hours in advance. My daughter called and cancelled 26 hours in advance as she was advised by the owner. When my daughter made the appointment she was told that this was the busiest time of the year and appointments were limited and hard to come by. A few hours after cancelling, we received a call from the owner saying that we would be charged for the appointment even though we cancelled 24 hours+ in advance. When my daughter called to tell the owner that she was told there was a 24 hour cancellation limit, the owner argued with my daughter that she was wrong. She then argued with my husband and told him that he was raising a child who was lacking integrity and expecting to not have to pay for a service that was rendered! Seriously!? There was no service rendered and when you dont know the person you have no right to question their integrity! And this was coming from the owner! Who is she to question the integrity of others when she has no integrity herself? I feel that the owner should keep in mind the old saying of The customer is always right. She told my daughter 24 hours and she should honor that. I will tell you, we ended up going to Belle Amour and were so well treated! They were so kind and made the experience something that we will never forget! The Gown Shop on the other hand, is an experience we cant wait to forget.

The Gown Shop was my first place to shop for my gown and I had no idea what to expect. My experience there was nothing less then perfect. Stacy and Erin did anything and everything to make sure I felt the prettiest for my big day. I only tried on four gowns and purchased the third one that I tried on. LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE this place and would recommend it to any Bride.

I had a wonderful visit when looking at wedding gowns and ended up purchasing mine at the Ann Arbor location. I was promised a 15% discount off bridesmaids dresses upon purchase after I made an appointment at the Perrysburg shop.A month after my visit/purchase, I was informed the Donna Morgan collection would be discontinued and they only had select styles and sizes left. Seeing as I am having 7 bridesmaids I wanted to wait until they brought in a new selection of gowns. Well, apparently that isnt even happening now and Ill have to look elsewhere for bridesmaids dresses.Why does no one know what future plans are for bridesmaids gowns at the store? Not a single person has any idea what will happen beyond the next 2 weeks? That is bogus.Im disappointed the promise that was made was not kept, and that now my friends will likely have to buy a dress at full price somewhere else.Warning to potential customers, dont count on purchasing bridesmaids gowns here because they are in it for the sale and not the continued customer service after the sale.

From our first appointment to our many additional stops at the shop, we felt like their priority each time. Erin quickly learned my style and she selected my dream dress! I love the personal touch and the fact that we could have the shop to ourselves during appointments. Erin was extremely helpful with all of our questions and gave great advice for accessories and veil options. I have nothing but great things to say about the selection of gowns, the service, and our satisfaction. I will continue to recommend The Gown Shop to all of my friends because I think everyone deserves to have the same experience we did.

I have never entered this shop. I tried making an appointment, and they said they require a Credit Card number to reserve your spot. Meaning, if you fail to reschedule or cancel at 48 hrs prior to the appointment time, they keep $50 from your card. They mention that this 50 dollar fee could be used at the store towards your gown purchase. But what happens if I DONT buy a gown from them? They keep the $50. I am coming from Canada to the appointment, and there is no way I can ensure that I wont be running late with a hold up at the boarder, or traffic. So, if Im late, they take 50 bucks, reschedule me for another time (which Im not even in the country for), and hope that I buy from them because, hey.. Ill get that 50 dollars towards my purchase from them. Ill never enter this store SIMPLY because of this stupid ploy to help themselves to your money for providing NO goods or service. Brides dont have money to waste. Brides are hard working, and most often young. Stop putting your hands in our pockets and taking whats not yours.

Overpriced. Poor selection of gowns. Very rude when trying to schedule. Snobby and elitist attitude. They will charge you $50 if you do not cancel your appointment exactly 48 hours ahead of your scheduled appointment time. In other words, if you scheduled your original appointment at 2:30 and you attempt to cancel it at 2:53 they they will charge you $50 despite being within a half hour of the 48 hour window. The 48 hour cancellation window in and of itself is ridiculous and is a terrible business practice. There are much better gown shops in Toledo and vicinity. Every other shop my daughter and I visited was more reasonably priced and the employees went out of their way to make you happy and to earn your business. Not this store! I’d go to another state before I would purchase a gown at this store.

I called The Gown Shop in Perrysburg on a whim and didnt expect to find my gown on a random Wednesday afternoon. However, from the moment I walked in until the moment I left, it was the most heartfelt and customized visit to help me find the dress of my dreams! Stacy (the owner) helped me feel beautiful and comfortable all at the same time! She was able to break me out of my comfort zones but still kept my personal style at the top of the list. Not only did I find the dress but I felt like I made a lifelong friend through this process! I would highly recommend The Gown Shop to any Bride who is starting her search or who is already on her way to finding her gown!

I got my dress the day after Thanksgiving of 2016, and The Gown Shop made me feel SO special. First of all it was only my mom, maid of honor, and my gown stylist (Erin, shes the best) so my appointment was completely private! I had no expectation going in so, Erin pulled about about 5 dresses for me. 2 and 4 BOTH made me cry, but we went with 4 and I didnt even bother to try on number 5. Erin and the Gown Shop did such an amazing job. She made the entire appointment about me, was honest, and absolutely captured a vision I have been waiting to see since I was a little girl :). If you dont make the Gown Shop one of your bridal dress shopping stops, ladies youre doing it wrong! I mean one day, 4 dresses, and I have the dress of my DREAMS! Water was available and tissues too! The shop was so clean and decorated so girly to make the experience that much better!

Erin was great! She let me walk around the store to see each gown. When I found the dress she really went the extra mile to add extra embellishments. The shop is cute and quaint. There wasnt a HUGE selection but that was ok as I went for a specific gown. I didnt choose that gown but all their gowns are beautiful! Its also great because its only you and youre group when youre in there.

My dreams came true at The Gown Shop in Perrysburg. Erin was an immense help, and very talented. She nailed everything about my bridal appointment (I only had one, and tried on 6 dresses). She was kind, accommodating, and encouraging. I walked away with my dream dress and could not be happier with my experience.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. This was the third bridal shop I went to in a day and I expected to be treated like a bride and feel like a princess trying dresses on, instead I felt rushed, like I was an inconvenience, and like she didn’t want me or my bridal party there. I wanted to get a picture of the first dress I was in because I wasn’t facing the mirror for more than 10 seconds and I wanted to see how it looked, to that we were firmly told we were not allowed to take pictures... and then when my friend just snapped a photo, not even interrupted anything, and was extremely rudely told off. I somewhat brushed it off because there was a dress I really wanted to try on and when I asked if I could try it on, she told me no.... because she didn’t allow brides to try on dresses outside of their budget. I hadn’t seen a dress in that design at any other store and I just wanted to see if the design looked good on me.. and she said no... worst experience I’ve ever had. In that shop I was not treated like a bride but like a child as was my bridal party. The other bridal shops made sure that I felt good in the dresses, that I was having fun, and that this was a day to remember, but all I want to do is forget about our experience at this bridal shop.

We arrived ten minutes before our appointment time after traveling over an hour to get there only to find the door locked. It was a very cold and windy day and we could see someone inside so we knocked on the door. This lady appeared, stuck her head out of the door and told me Your appointment is for 2:30, its 2:20, I will see you at 2:30 and then shut the door in our faces, leaving us out in the cold. Very Very rude lady!!! No apologies or sorry Im with someone right now, or recommendations of what to do in the meantime besides stand outside and freeze... We should have taken that as a sign and just left, but we had come so far so and found a lovely shop a couple doors up that sells cakes and things, so we grabbed a bite and sat in the car out of the cold wind until 2:30. So at 2:30 we proceeded back to the shop to find it still locked. We ended up having to stand outside in the cold watching her finish up with the other people... So rude and unnecessary! Finally, they left and we were allowed in. We found the selection of dresses to be very small and after trying on only three dresses we were pretty much done... We had been taking pictures all day and having a good time, but when my daughter asked us to take a picture of her in the first dress we were firmly told we were not allowed to take pictures. ??????? Really??? My friend just sort of snapped a shot of the third dress with her phone and the lady was so rude about it and totally told her off!!!! Wha??? And to think we would have been charged $50 if we had missed this app??? Good grief! My friend kept saying she couldnt believe she got told off by someone 20 years younger than her and for something so stupid. Found the whole experience just awful and to be treated so rudely completely uncalled for!!

I can not say enough amazing things about Stacey and my experience at TGS! Stacey called me prior to my appointment to discuss what I was looking for, how the process works, etc. She was so patient with me as I still had other people I wanted to involve in the decision making process. She closed down the store for me three different times. She just made everything easy and enjoyable. I was so happy that the dress I fell in love with was at TGS! Stacey works with the designers and some of the dresses can be customized, which is something no other store I shopped at offered. We are adding sleeves to mine so I still dont know what the final dress will look like but I know I am in great hands! The quality of dresses they have in the store just do not compare to the other stores in our area. Every bride should experience it!!

I had the BEST experience here. Erin made me feel welcome and special. I had visited a different bridal shop the day before and was disappointed with the experience, so I went into The Gown Shop wondering if that lackluster experience is what I could expect here, too. It wasnt. From the moment we walked in the door, Erin made us (my mother and sister in law came with me) feel comfortable. She talked to me and really listened to what I said I liked/didnt like/etc. She picked out incredible dresses, each more beautiful than the last, and explained why she chose each of them for me, and when one of them was slightly over my budget, she let me know right up front and didnt try to sell me on anything I didnt want. I would tell anyone who is looking for a wedding dress in Northwest Ohio that they should go to The Gown Shop in Perrysburg. I found the perfect dress and had the most amazing experience.

Know what you are looking for so they can tailer their search to what you like. They did amazing job with my dress!

I was dumbfounded by the owner of this store with her actions towards my fiancée and family. She was told a 24 hour cancellation window and all the sudden changes to 48. And for your information, any verbal commitment i.e. Being told 24 hour window and agreeing to that is a binding contract. Its just disgusting the way you run your business and treat people. Word of mouth travels quickly and Ill ensure that.

A wonderful place to shop for coulture bridal dresses. They do private try ons with appointments so you will have to call in advance to get an appointment. They were very kind and helpful to the bride. They have sample sales as well for those on a budget but still desiring the colutre fashion for their special day.

Im SO grateful for The Gown Shop and especially wonderful owner, Stacy. I was able to go to both shops (Ann Arbor and Perrysburg) which are equally beautiful and filled with the most incredible wedding dresses I have ever seen. Truly. When you walk into the boutique, you are suddenly transported into an elegant and romantic bridal dreamland. Im from Maumee, Ohio but live in NYC and was just in town visiting for 3 days. Thankfully, TGS Perrysburg was able to squeeze me in for a last minute appointment where I said YES to the dress last weekend. I never even looked at dresses in NYC because the selection and team at TGS are simply the best. Stacy is like the bride whisperer and just understood what I wanted when I was sort of unsure. I went with the first dress she pulled for me (a gorgeous Hayley Paige gown). I tried on a few others after that which were all stunning but the first one was ultimately my dream dress. My mom and sister accompanied me to my appointment and it was such a special (and at times emotional) experience that well never forget. Each dress you try on gets a sweet and exciting curtain reveal for your guests. Its the ultimate bridal experience at TGS. When we knew wed found THE one, we all cried and took a picture with Stacy because we were overjoyed and appreciated her so much! Had my first appointment today with Erin and she was so sweet! I had a really bad day with Davids Bridal mixing up my appointment and another shop not carrying anything I liked, so I came in praying to have a different experience. She let us come in early, pulled lots of dresses that I loved and helped me think of a timeline to come back and purchase. She even gave me a copy of The Knot magazine because I mentioned it sitting on the bookshelf. If you want a truly different experience head to TGS. Also, Ive seen a lot of negative comments about the $50 fee if you cancel outside of the 48 hour timeframe--but you have to consider that TGS only allows two bridal consultations to happen at a time and that it is a personal stylist experience instead of just simply perusing. Overall, wonderful experience and I know Ill be purchasing my gown here in a few weeks.

Living close to Toledo, I had several recommendations to check out The Gown Shop Perrysburg. They all said TGS was the absolute best dress shopping experience that they had (even friends who shopped in specialty Chicago boutiques). Many of them are #TGSRealBrides today.Stacy was easy to work with as she helped set up my appointment quickly to meet my limited schedule while I was in Ohio visiting my family.I had a BLAST working with Stacy!! My sisters, mom and I were the only ones in the shop which felt so special and was a truly intimate experience. Stacy made us feel comfortable and created a fun, positive, and exciting environment throughout the appointment. She did a short interview with me as well as with my mom and sisters at the beginning of the appointment. She listened to what I liked and disliked and then picked out some BEAUTIFUL gowns to try on that definitely hit the mark! The second gown I tried on was the one and I quickly said I LOVE IT! even before she opened the curtain to show my sisters. Even though that was clearly the gown I loved, Stacy was so patient as I requested to try on the gown 2 or 3 times between other gowns. She is a true professional as she is knowledgeable and creative picking out not only the dress but possible accessories to help make each gown perfect for me.I am so thrilled with the gown that I found and the smile on my face was plastered on strong! I am still on cloud nine days later!The whole day was fabulous and I definitely had the special day and moment every girl dreams of! I have to admit Im a little sad it is over ;) Thanks TGS and Stacy for all of your help!

Immature and unprofessional owner who lies about her policy to get your money if you cancel. Fifty dollars to be exact. Steer clear. She lectured me and raised her voice at me and I will make sure everyone knows she doesnt deserve anyones business.

I was told at booking that I could cancel my appointment 24 hours in advance. I called to cancel and was told that its 48 hours, so I got charged $50. The owner was extremely unprofessional in the way she spoke to me and my dad. She told my dad that he was raising me incorrectly, as I believed that i didnt have to pay for services rendered. However, there was no service rendered! She also lied to my dad and told him that I came into the store and authorized a charge on my card - no charges were ever authorized, as I live in Cleveland and havent been in Toledo since Thanksgiving. The business owner was extremely unprofessional in the way she lectured me and my father. Charges were never authorized to my account, so we are moving forward with a dispute and they wont get their beloved $50. Interesting, because my bad reviews will likely cost them more than $50 in the end.
