Great store! The owner is so nice and hospitable, he alone is a breath of fresh air compared to the customer service you’d get at a normal grocery store. I have a hard time paying full price for certain things at stores now. There are many things that I will only buy at the dented can. I have never purchased a product that I was not satisfied with and I’ve never had a bad experience at this store. I advise all locals to visit and save some money at the humble and hospitable dented can. 😊

I have been going to Dented Can for 17 yrs. Mr. SAM is an amazing and humble man. He has everything that you need meats,fresh produce, frozen foods, baking stuff seasoning, breads, paper goods hint Toliet paper!! His store should be well known in the community. Hes small business owner with a big heart. Go support his store its right off the 101 and Peoria. I buy my business supplies from him instead Walmart and other big Companies. Love Mr. Sam

I most definitely recommend this place. Ive known this place for about a year now and I have always found items for a very low price. The gentleman is also very helpful for My wife an I. I am definitely making this my #1 spot to go to first before any actual grocery store.

Ive been going to the Dented Can for over 10 years. I find so many things that have been opened but are still good to use. Sammy has become a good friend. He has great prices. Its always interesting what new things he has. Cant go wrong!

Place has potential upon walking in was greeted by the gentleman working. Thought it would be a store I liked, but instead I was watched the whole time I was there making me feel a little uncomfortable so I left. I wouldnt have had a problem expect for the fact there was another person in the store and the guy never watched them or took his eyes off of me. So, beware if your skin is on the darker side.

Ive never found any bugs or bad things in the food even though cans are sometimes expired its all good. How do you think people stick pile food for years and its fine.

Small store humble and friendly service. If youre a shopper you know the deals . And theres a grip. I almost dont want to give a good rating cause thats less for me. Kudos to the store that to my knowledge has been open for about 12 years at least. Last time is totally worth the trip

Ive been coming here more than three years, since just after we bought our house 1/2 mile away. There are some great prices and the stock changes all the time.Sam, the owner, is friendly and talkative.. hes more than willing to help you find something if you dont see it.Wednesdays are the day if you like pastries, good selection and serious savings.Tell Sam Doc says hi if you drop by, hell get a kick out of it.

The owner, there every single day except for Sundays since the store is closed, is quite nice, very personable, helpful always.Ive become quite nice familiar with both the store, and the owner since November 2017, when I moved into the neighborhood after purchasing my home just around the corner from the store.Many bargains, occasionally stock can have a few items that may be dated. This is where the concept of, The Dented Can, may quite possibly origionate from. Slightly out of date, frozen before items expire, dented cans, open box items, all at quite the level of discounts. Pay half of regularly priced retail items. Guess what, this provides shoppers another, different choice. Shoppers please do remember this fact while shopping in the store, and your manners, and be kind.If you truly like the store, and items you find at great discount pricing, this really shouldnt be an issue. I only mention it due to the fact, on occasion, a wayward shopper will make fast work of picking every issue that is not 100% perfect.Hmmmn, recall earlier the mention regarding tolerance, and being kind? OK, I restate the obvious, these are not 100% perfect items cosmetically. Not good deals for what your getting. Save 25 cents and get food that’s 3 years expired. Maybe I’d pay 25 cents for food that old. Really not worth it. Looks more like an old food museum than a store where you buy edible food.To be fair. The only thing worth it is new shipments of stuff. Still going to be expired and not that much of a deal. I was pretty disappointed going here, wasting my time going across town.

The dented can is one of my favorite places. Sam is amazing, and his prices are great. I have never been sick or had any issues with any of the grocery that I have bought here. By far, the Dented Can is my favorite grocery store.

Little mini market in the neighborhood.Lots of products you could save a trip to Frys.My recommendation is to check expiration dates of food products often he resells expired products which in my opinion is not always good . If people have sensitive stomachs it may cause upset digestive issues.

Our visit was...ok... We normally love dents and bents, discount grocery stores. This store was a bit of a let down. The prices are slightly higher than they should be. Especially since the majority of the items that we saw were 2 years or more past their sale date. Dirty shelves with randomness piled on top of more random stuff. Old frost bitten foods in the freezers... Not a great place to shop at...

I was expecting discounted groceries, open packages, and stuff that was close to or at the expiration date, not stuff that was YEARS expired. A couple items I looked at had expired more than 4 years ago, in 2014! While I don’t live and die by expiration dates, I feel like there’s no way that product was still good, or should be sold.The reasons I didn’t give a 1-Star review:The shop owner was very friendly, and was obviously very familiar with his customers who came in. There’s something to be said for an owner who knows his clientele that well.As long as you’re looking at dates, there are some gems to be found here. I saw lots of organic and gluten free products, as well as a whole aisle of non-perishable items like paper goods, feminine products, and diapers. There was also some produce at the front of the store that looked decent, though I didn’t check prices.For now, I’ll stick to couponing and Dollar Tree for discounted groceries.

The owner is awesome hes very helpful and even comes down on his already low prices and some of these items were priced and I didnt see the price so I asked gentleman and he gave me it even 50% off also its very convenient Since I no longer have transportation his stores with in the walking distance and he has fresh produce deli meat cheese products milk vegetables fruit awesome all around
