Placed order for Santa Fe Red rocks for 4 ton. Be aware if they overload the truck by their error, you will be recharged on your credit card. You will not be notified that you are being additionallly charged for their mistake until the charge appears on your credit card statement. When you call to dispute per Mark, its not an exact science when they load the truck. So in other words, just be aware that additional charges may appear without your consent.

Some of the worst customer service i have ever experienced.Recently started a sod project in my backyard and i was recommended to this company by the people that i bought my sod from. The sod company praised these people like their dirt was the very best in town.I contacted pioneer to place an order with them and spoke with cameron to do so. Cameron had to put me on hold like 3 times to get the order done, i probably spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to buy dirt. When i spoke with cameron, he asked how much land i was trying to cover. I informed him that i had 500 sqft to do, and he told me i would need five TONS of sod mix soil for this, and that i would need 1 TON per 100 sq ft. I figured that he knew what he was talking about, and ordered 5 tons of soil. Turns out, he did not know what he was talking about.On the day of the dirt delivery, the delivery department guy called me to confrim the order for delivery and asked me where i want my 5 YARDS of soil. I then informed him that i ordered 5 tons of soil, and not 5 yards. The delivery guy proceeds to tell me that they dont measure or deliver dirt in tons, they only deliver in yards, and that 5 yards of dirt is way too much for 500 sqft. Even stating that he is sorry that he did not get to speak with me when i placed the order.Well turns out, that guy was right. Because now i have about half of it, 2.5 tons, yards, whatever. I have a giant dirt mountain sitting in my driveway that i cant get rid of blocking my garage because cameron decided to make up his own imaginary dirt measurments.To add insult to injury, the day after delivery, i noticed a second charge on my card. I called pioneer to ask what this is, and turns out that instead of delivering 5 yards of dirt, they delivered 5.2 yards of dirt and decided to charge me for the extra dirt too. I spoke with Cameron again, who still seemed to think his company measures dirt in tons, and got his manager to offer to refund the .2 yards of dirt if i came to the store, but i decided driving over there for 10 dollars wasnt worth my time. He made no offer to help in any other way. I even offered his dirt back for free if they came to get it.I will be calling the company i purchased the sod from to tell them about my experience to hopefully save someone other poor person from this. I have an entire mountain of dirt in my driveway now and i have no idea how im going to get rid of it.

We just picked up dirt and compost for our gardening. They seem to have a good selection and great customer service. $30 for a yard of dirt. We will defiantly be back.

Treated well before turf installed. After turf installed by Rivers landscaping, had problems. Pioneer blames Rivers, Rivers blames Pioneer. Accidentally melted turf but no one will help me fix problem. Well Pioneer landscaping called to say they are going to make good on the turf that Rivers landscaping ruined the warranty on. Nicolas Rios was given $1000 to buy turf, sand and enviro fill. He bought the turf only and went cheaper on sand and fill. I am out cost of filler, and $660 that I paid for installation.So afraid to trust new installer after being ripped off for about $900 in cost by Nicolas Rios. I am working with Arizona ROC, hoping another person will not get cheated. And thank you Pioneer for fixing problem not caused by you.

Filled up my pickup bed with 2 yds of sod mix for my backyard (seeding with Bermuda grass). Great prices, friendly service. I will definitely be a return customer for future needs.

I ended up at this place on my way to a nearby quarry. They price matched, and I had the 15 tons of rip rap in my yard less than 24 hours later. My only concern is that the rip rap was suppose to be 3-8 and I would say there is a good 1.5 to 2 tons of smaller, almost gravel-like pieces plus dirt (More of a problem with the quarry, not the company). I am not sure if they compensated for this, and I had more than enough rock to complete my project so, overall, I am satisfied and would purchase from this company again.

I called Pioneer Landscaping today and asked if they carried large 2 bark mulch for ground cover for my wifes garden. The guy I spoke to told me they had it and 1 yard covered 100 sq feet. We drove 20 minutes to their site and when we arrived were told the largest mulch they had was playground mix which is 1 and smaller. Then proceeded to tell me I had never called and they had never talked to me. I redialed the # in front of them and the phone rang. These guys lied to me and then told me I had never called. I will take my business elsewhere!

Try to avoid this place, they will charge you more than what they say when your there. Also the rocks I bought from them had a lot of dust, more than what it should be.
