Review Visit: October 28th, 2014Not an actual factory.Short story time: Back before I started traveling, I once thought the Cheesecake Factory was a building that churned out cheesecakes. I took the name literally and was confused on why people loved the place. Turns out, it’s a delectable restaurant that just looking at the menu will exceed your daily recommended caloric intake.Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is no Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory. It’s your typical small store that has a ton of goodies inside. Everything from sweets to things that are nutty and everything in-between. Matt, Tim, and I wandered in during a day of hitting up a few Peoria locations. We came here The 50’s Diner to get our dessert fix.I’ve been to a few baked goods/candy stores at this point in time but I am never not amazed at the variety of goodies they offer. A lot of them carry some of the same chocolate-covered (item) but so many of them do it in their own way. Or do their unique twist on it. That’s why I love small chain/locally owned businesses. They all have that personal touch that seems to be missing from Big Name Stores.Tim ended up stocking up on some goodies. Matt got a small item or two. I snagged a cookie or two. I don’t remember what cookies I got but I do remember it being pretty dang good. I ended up eating it as we walked back to my car.To rewind time a bit, before we headed in to the store, we stopped and took photos with this giant bear that was sitting on a bench outside. That’s just the nature of these kinds of things. If you can pose/sit with a goofy thing, you gotta take a photo with it.Lets wrap this up. If you need a chocolate covered (item), Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory can hook you up. It might be a smaller business but they do have multiple locations, so check their website below if you are interested in checking them out. I can’t promise you they will have a bear to take a photo with but if you go and there is one, do yourself a favor and take a fun photo with it. Sometimes we need to throw off the burdens of being an adult and let our inner child out.
This place is awesome. If you haven’t tried it you need to. I love the apple myself
The apple was very good however we went in on a Saturday and the employee wasnt friendly at all. She maybe said 2 words and didnt cut our apple all the way through 😂
Friendly service with great quality of product. Will always be a return customer.
This place is awesome if you have a sweet tooth like me! Their chocolate treats are to die for! They have plenty of different selections of candies and chocolates that they have made by hand. My favorite thing to get are their carmel apples(made with chocolate and other delicious goodies as well)
My daughter Brieanna (who is Autistic) believes this is the most wonderful place on earth.. and she is not wrong. Great place for you chocolates fix !
Love this place
If youre a chocolate connoisseur, this is your place. Large selection of chocolate confections with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Somewhat pricey but understand youre paying for quality so you really do get your moneys worth.
Ive been coming to this place since I was 8, and it NEVER disappoints! I get something different every time I go, and their caramel is to die for !!!
Apples are very crisp and fresh! Cost is a little pricey, but if you are a chocolate fan youll pay for it!
Bought the Snickers and Butterfinger covered apples and they are amazing. Great customer service and, fudge samples were excellent!
Ive had items from this shop before and they are delicious (and a little on the expensive side) but I was in a little over a week ago to buy some treats as christmas gifts and they were wiped out of a lot of things including fudge of all kinds- which was my main reason for stopping. I asked if there would be more made by Christmas and I was assured there would be . The girl at the counter took my name and number and said I would be called when it was ready. Never got a call. I phoned the shop this morning to inquire about the availability of fudge and was told there wouldnt be any before Christmas. I have to say Im a little disappointed no one else working there had been shown how to make fudge. Must be a secret recipe...
Amazing apples.
Pricey but you get the quality that you pay for.
Friendly service with great quality of product. Will always be a return customer.
Stopped in today and bought a couple small treats. It was very good and definitely quality chocolate. Will stop in again.
Great chocolates...the apples are amazing! And, the service is always great.
Yum yum, good stuff. Lots of variety, Truffles, and chocolate covered everything. But the crème de la crème, the chocolate covered caramel apples are to die for. Dont argue with me, just go get one.
You havent had a candy apple until youve had one here. Big enough to share. They also have truffles and a few other treats but the apples are the star if this place.

Disappointed in the apples. Not as good as they were at all. Very thin on coating. Peanut butter bomb, was just peanuts over Carmel . Not sure I will have again.
