We used Childers for our wedding and decided to do the family style way of serving because of the large amount of guests we had and it was so great! Our guests are still commenting on how cool it was that there were so many servers and that people got their food at the same time and how good the food was. Cynthia was so easy to work with when designing our menu and Derrick called us a few days before the wedding just to say hi and touch base. Childers was great to work with and we will keep them in mind for future events.

Childers catered my wedding, and the food was absolutely fantastic. The appetizers and the main course (parmesan crusted chicken) were fabulous and tasted just as good the day of as they did at the taste test. We had fantastic communication with the staff before the event, and the servers the day of were very attentive and helpful to us in every way. They went above and beyond to serve us and we are so thankful! The only complaint I have is unfortunately the tablecloths were very wrinkled and it was obvious they had been folded rather than hung up beforehand. Other than this little hiccup, our experience with Childer’s was wonderful!

Horrible service. We barely finished going thru the line at the reception and they removed the food. Chicken breast were dry and inedible. Tea and lemonade very watered down. Buffet was taken down early. Servers removed plates from in front of people that were eating. They were told by Cunthia to bring ti go containers for leftoverd. When I went to the kitchen to make sure they got them, the servers were in the kitchen eating the leftovers and making to go containers for themselves. The groom(my son) contacted Childers the very next day and NOONE has returned his call. They packed up and left hours before they were supposed to leaving guest with nothing to drink. Reception was tobe til midnight and all guest left by 8pm.. noone wants to dance etc with nothing to drink. Very disappointing for the price they paid.

Great job on Daughters wedding great food everything was really good. But needed to clear after appetizers . Other then clearing dirty dishes really did a great job. I dont get not taking leftovers home but was in the contact when I catered I let my guests have the leftovers at least the immediate family .Always a pleasure to pack those tired busy folks a nice to go . Folks really appreciate that the next day! We had 3 vegetarians they loved their food as well. Good job Childers!

This was the first time we had been here. We were there for my class reunion. We will definitely enjoy eating there again if we are in the area.

We used Childers Catering for our wedding. We were very happy with the experience! The food was great and the day-of staff was awesome! We had some communication issues with the owner while planning the event, but everything worked out in the end.

Childers catered my wedding on 11/3/19. Let me start by saying that the event staff was spectacular. The manager on duty was lovely, as well as the chef in charge. They were attentive and receptive to our concerns. The bad: 1. We did not receive what we ordered. The salmon was about 1/3 thick because it was so dry and shrunken. It was not edible. We also ordered Caribbean marinated flank steak. It was bland and dry, nothing like what we tasted. The cherry on top was the beating phone call I received from the owner of the company on 11/4/19 to tell me that I was sadly mistaken. He yelled and cut me off multiple times during the phone call and stated that I shouldnt expect the food to be as good as it is when it comes out of the oven. Maybe so, but I also expect it to be edible. I did not eat at my wedding, and the way he spoke to me was unprofessional. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

We had a food tasting hosted by Mrs. Childers on 6/14/17 for my nieces upcoming wedding reception. When we walked in, the table was set very nicely and she was fully prepared to answer any and all questions we had. Her knowledge of the service they provide appears impeccable. My niece had already decided that she was either going to go with the Italian bar or the taco bar for her big day (in the end she chose Italian👍). Each and every item that was served to us was fresh and delicious. We were all extremely impressed with the professionalism and food quality provided by Childers Catering. My niece gave her deposit on the spot.

Our experience here was really great! The food was excellent; the service was wonderful; the management was extremely helpful, offering great suggestions for a worry-free experience; and, the cost was extremely affordable. We will definitely hold other events here in the future.

Very happy bride and groom here! We had about a month to plan our wedding and Childers truly came through with amazing, yummy food and a great staff to work with. We would highly recommend them to anyone!

They catered a work event and let us use the facility. Staff is on point, but the catered mexican food was nothing special.

Outstanding spread and company to work with... they catered our corporate event at a 4th of July celebration and we heard nothing but great feedback from our clients. Highly recommend!

I had my rehearsal dinner at Childers and all of my guests and myself had a great experience. Our food was excellent and the service made sure every detail was taken care of so we were completely relaxed going into our big day.

Unfortunately, my fiancé and I were so ill-served and treated during the tasting alone, that it was utterly obvious that Childers puts customer satisfaction and service far below simply pumping out food in mass amounts for profit. All meats—pork, beef, and poultry—were incredibly cold when brought out to us. On top of this the pork showed obviously signs of being undercooked and was inedible. Silverware was incredibly mismatched as if chosen and arranged for a middle school formal. After repeated request to simply dialogue with the chef-on-duty, and continuous claims that “he will be out in a second,” we simply had to give up and leave. Please do not wasted your time and money with a company that so blatantly disvalues its clients.

Childers did not perform as they should for a wedding AT ALL. The BIGGEST day of peoples lives you would think they would make it perfect especially since this is their job. Any catering business who runs out of food at a wedding SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. It would be different if just a few extra people showed up and food was low but we had a BUFFET and more than 2 tables did NOT get food. O, and some of the chicken wasnt cooked.They dont think they did anything wrong and will not reimburse us for anything on more than a $10,000 bill. I was a little worried at first when their main sales guy was let go and I called a week before the wedding to make sure everything was ok....they had NO RECORD of our previous meetings and what we wanted but I thought everything was going to be ok since we got it all figured out. I OBVIOUSLY WAS WRONG. They will be reported to the Better Business Bureau and the Department of Health. Also dont expect them to have a drink tally either if requested, I guess they are just that good at Math on a open bar.
