This experience has been a nightmare. First they had my name under the wrong unit, so they wrongfully locked me out of my unit and destroyed my own personal lock because they thought I missed a payment. I had family come this day from out of town to help move my furniture out so I was unable to complete my move due to this and my family made a trip for no reason. I made two complains to customer service and never heard back from the manager. Second, I made a personal trip to the uhaul location to tell them I was moving everything out the next day, and they told me to just leave the door open and I won’t get charged. They also told me they left a note in the system saying I was going to have everything out before that date. Everything was moved out before the date rent was due, and I left the door open as instructed, but I was still charged a late fee!
Went to get moving supplies to begin packing. And they got awesome prices on rental trucks. And will match if another competitor gives a cheaper price. On your phone or an email. That is awesome

We went here to return a trailer and they were not open even though it was during their hours of operation.

Zero Stars, really. Saturday Morning (5/11) I went in for a bottle of propane. Both associates were standing in the office like statues, but did not respond to my request. I asked for help, they said it would be a few minutes. I waited outside for ten minutes, I went back inside and asked the associates again to fill my bottle. The manager finally came outside told me that I needed to learn patience and refused to fill my bottle with propane. I will not return to this store.
For rentals, this place is fine. If you need temporary storage, however, this place does not have their act together. U-haul policy is to provide 1 month of free storage with a rental, but they did not apply it correctly and then locked my storage and tried to charge late fees for the rental that should have been free in the first place, and did not attempt to correct it on site but rather directed me to the National company for addressal. They also were unable to process auto-pay despite promises and signed receipts to the contrary.
My moving day was made pretty horrible because of the poor service from this location. I reserved a 15’ truck from here at 12pm on an earlier day and thought all was well. I come to find out when I arrive at 11:45am that the lady who last rented the truck did not return it yet. Okay.. I though no big deal, that sucks but I can wait the 3 hours I was told to wait for her to return the vehicle which the guy who was working found out as I was standing there listening to him on the phone. Apparently she should have been there the day before but never showed up. Would have been nice to have been contacted before I showed up, to let me know that the truck wasn’t there and in turn save me a 25 minute drive. I wasn’t too upset until I showed up later to find out that somehow my reservation on this truck was deleted and no one remade it and ofcourse they gave the truck to some customer prior to my arriving.... at this point I was pretty mad. I was then told by the new lady I was talking to, that a 10’ truck was available and I took it because o had people waiting on me to help me move and I didn’t want to delay anyone further... the difference between a 10’ and a 15’ truck is actually pretty big, come to find out when I do my move, and we had to end up doing two moves in which every trip is an hour long drive one way. I end up paying for the mileage the truck is driven and extra fuel because someone didn’t do their job. Yeah I’m very upset with uhaul this time around and feel like even though I did what I should of done, and they didn’t, I am still the one who ended paying for it.
We are storing our U-boxes here and Savannah has been helping us with every detail...she is very pleasant and answers all of our questions. Sometimes when we have called in its difficult to get proper help but once we speak with her shes knowledgeable and quickly assist us.

Drove an hour and a half from mobile because u haul notified me this was the only place that had my vehicles hitch in stock. I reserved a time to come in and get it installed they said it would take an hour and a half. I drove all the way there. They not only didnt have the hitch they didnt have an installer they said if they did have any of that it would take about 4 and a half hours (not that big of a deal) and that i couldnt wait on it. The point is they are un organised and dont follow through on their promises Id have been fine. If they just told the truth or checked their appointments. So i had to rent a truck and naturally I went with penske. Out of spite for the hassle and, it turns out they have better rates for long distance.
I have rented from this location several times (trailer only) and Ive only had two issues which were resolved after bringing it to the staffs attention. In one case, I was charged for 2 days even though I had brought the trailer back on time. The staff had missed the check in as it occurred overnight and I had parked the trailer back in a spot. After letting them know, I received a refund a few days later (after they had a chance to review the security footage, etc.). In another situation, I arrived at the opening time for the location, but the employee did not show up until about 15 minutes after the hour. I did notify the corporate call in line, but after the employee arrived, my rental was promptly taken care of and I was on my way. I have rented a total of 5 times now from this location and these are the only minor issues I have encountered, and they have always been resolved. I can honestly recommend this location, at the very least for renting a trailer.
Really good service and they will help you out to find the equipment you need if they do not have it. Jeff is the manager, obviously knows his stuff.
Been to the uhaul store on Mobile Hwy Pensacola 4 times this week renting trailers buying tow balls, renting equipment, one of the employees doesnt like to work and dosent know what hes doing, trying to get out of a scheduled trailer light repair and a tow hitch the day before, guy does not want to work, has a bad attitude, charged me 7.50 to install a tow ball, but he couldnt do it, too weak, I had to get under the truck in hauls garage and do it myself, but was still charged installation, then today told to get the F off the lot after telling him he didnt know what he was talking about, then he pulled some fuses from truck right before I left, cartoon socks and flip flops sneakers, I should know he wasnt a real worker or mechanic of any kind, ...POS, said he was by himself and didnt want to do anything lazy POS
Dealing with MoronsCustom tow hitch is a joke these people are Mickey Ds fast food rejects. If it requires skill or work you have brought your vehicle to the wrong place. If you respect your car dont go here I wish there was a main number for u haul this guy needs to be put out of his job

Where to being with the incompetence of Uhaul and their customer service. It all stated with the change in pick up location with out informing me of the change, then due to lack of service I have to go to the opposite side of town to pick up the truck and dolly which were no where near ready. The Executive Assistant for the CEO Joe Shoen was even doing a half way effort to assist me by transferring me to a scheduling office in Mobile AL to speak with a GM about the issue. Sad thing is he had said he was going to remain on the line until they pick up which didnt happen. I was transferred to the regular customer service. The car dolly had a light out and APPARENTLY it was wired backwards according to the employee. After sitting there waiting for over an hour for them to repair it I get home and find that theres no appliance dolly. When I call about it Im told to drive back across town to pick up one burning gas that I shouldnt have to and when I ask them to deliver one because I know they have the pick-ups there that could do it Im told theres not trucks and no one that can do that. Now when I speak to the 800 customer service Im told that the only thing they can do is put in an objection to the store manager which will take about 72 hours for the manager to respond and Im loading up tomorrow and leaving Sunday. Tell me Uhaul WHY should I spend more money in gas to go back for YOUR company for fix YOUR mistakes?
I would leave 0 stars if I could. I had the worst experience at this uhaul that will make me never use uhaul again. I rented a truck for one day and was charged for 2. They then said they would refund me for the difference and they did... but then they proceeded to charge me again for the amount they claimed they refunded me. When I called customer service I was transfered 4 different times until I finally got an answer. This answer was wait the 3-5 business days and see if the charges fall off. So ultimately I did no get an answer. I will never use uhaul again, they just lost out on a 2500+ trip of mine coming up in January and I will be using someone else. And I will never recommend uhaul to anyone ever again. Worst experience ever.

Called to see about getting a car hauler and to make sure my car would work and they said yes but when i got there my car wouldnt work and i needed to try somewhere else is what i was told.
I had a trailer hitch installed on my new SUV. It was scheduled to take 3hrs and it took 5 1/2

I know Justin (GM here) & hell do many things outside of his job description to assist customers, from calling movers when the customer is left stranded and abandoned, to checking out wiring for other trailers and trucks, trying to find discounts, even following up after to make sure everything went well

Everyone who works here is lazy. Can’t rent a trailer while there are 10 the size I need. Can’t get propane because they are out every time I ask. They always send me somewhere else.
The Area Manager John is one of the rudest most obnoxious people I have ever seen. How can you let this guy represent your company? He treats his employees as if they are children and the way he talks to customers is abhorrent. I will NEVER do business with U-Haul again and I will tell everyone that I know to do their business elsewhere.
There was a long waiting period and the guy quit his job over the phone while I was there.
