Fantastic food! Fantastic for us locals!! When out of town lawyers ask me where do the locals eat, this is on the top of my list.

Maybe I made a mistake having fish tacos in a place that touts its meatballs. Rather than the traditional Napa cabbage and remoulade, they filled the bottom of the little tortillas with coleslaw. It made the tortillas super soggy. On top, there was a fruit salsa, that was also juicy. Those cold ingredients ensured that the small portions of fish in the middle were stone cold and soggy. The taste of the fruit salsa was good, but the overall effect wasnt a good presentation. If you eat here, I recommend you get something else. If you want ice tea, they only have bottles of sweetened varieties in the cooler; nothing fresh and nothing unsweetened.

The meatball sub is outstanding, 10/10 would recommend. Took me to the moon 🚀🚀🚀

Very presentable! The side salad is very good but the tomato sauce on the meatballs were a little acidic for my taste. The meat was very flavorful and the size was plentiful.

I will not be returning. The woman at the counter was rude to myself and other guests, making comments about me wearing a mask by looking directly at me and said something about fear factor regarding COVID. I have not judged or held anything against a business that does not require their employees to wear masks, but this is the first business that has made remarks about my choice, so I will not be returning. Please learn the difference between a latte and a cappuccino, because you clearly dont.

Great place to eat and have coffee. I had the meatballs and spaghetti. Very traditional old school recipe (not store bought). Staff was great, bathroom was clean and the decor was perfect. All resides within an old gas station turned restaurant. Must try.

Really cool market. I had the tarragon chicken salad sandwich which had very good flavor. Personally, I could do without the nuts in the salad but again just a personal choice.

East Hill Market is literally the BEST hidden gem in all of Pensacola. Ive been going there for papa Tonys meatballs and pasta for years. It is a beautiful quaint cafe/market that has a variety of unique items for sale. From pickled veggies, specialty cooking oils, fresh produce, honey, to wines, jewelry and aprons. Please stop on 9th Ave at East Hill Market and order Papa Tonys meatballs. Best decision you will ever make!!

Tonys meatballs are wonderful, I really enjoyed them with Pasta and some tea. Shelley had the tarragon chicken salad sliders and declared that they were the best shes ever had. I wish the could serve the drinks at the table but I understand its a deli/market and getting bottles from the cooler is totally fine.

Meatball sub is the best Ive ever put into my face. This spot has never disappointed. Staff is always super friendly. I love sitting outside on the patio.

My mom used to go in here all the time for fresh produce & we haven’t been in years so we just stopped by to check it out, since it still advertises PRODUCE on the front of the building, but the attitude from the brown haired lady working at 2pm on Tuesday 06/09/20, didn’t even talk to her long enough to get her name, made us feel EXTREMELY unwelcome. Looking at other reviews, it seems like this place might need way more than an attitude adjustment.

They are a great place for vegans. They will alter menu items to your liking.

It tasted more Greek than Italian but was pretty good!! Meatballs had been mixed a lil too much but still pretty tender,didnt like spaghetti squash but carbs are on my no-no list right now. The green salad dressing was amazing!! Couldve eaten it w/a spoon!!

I am in love with the chicken and avocado sandwich. I order mine with out any type of peppers on it and only once had it been made incorrectly but was remade immediately and with apologies given. That happened maybe, the 3rd time we had ordered it my way. I love the eclectic items sold there and the knowledge of, what I do believe, is one of the owners. If not, she is definitely a manager.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! There are roaches and rats in the kitchen, crawling on and eating the food they serve. They do not properly clean their utensils and dishes, the workers are INCREDIBLY rude and disrespectful, and the place is altogether unsanitary. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!

Had never tried but drive by, and was not disappointed. Short menu, good choices, organic and super fresh. Locally grown, included some grocery items and honey, jam, gift type items.Great experience and would definitely go back.

Something has unfortunately shifted here. I thought it might get better after the new people were trained, but its looking like the owner is the main catalyst for the faults.I have order my food by phone multiple times and each time I get there when they say it will be done and wind up waiting another 20 mins making me late back to work.The owner is constantly talking bad about the employees and rudely correcting them when they are doing just fine. She also will not just take ownership for a bad job done with service and the make of the food.I waited 3 more times before making this post but I sincerely hope they change their attitude. The fault is not the employees but the persons running the establishment. She needs to meditate and stop blaming others people for her poor training and erratic behavior.I never take time out to write a review but this place has gone down hill and Im reluctant to tell anyone to go here.

The prices are what youd expect from an independent cafe. Both our entrees were excellent, tasty with appealing presentation. The patio used to be more tidy.

Pensacolas hidden gem! I ordered their fish tacos and it was fresh and flavorful. The fish was perfectly grilled and the toppings complemented very well. I will have to try their famous meatballs next time!!

Was really disappointed. The server was great but the kitchen made my fish tacos with flour tortillas instead of corn. Instead of sending it back I was fine rebuilding them if they brought me the corn tortillas, which I told the manager when she came to check. She passed the buck to another, so I didnt get them in a timely manner and ate most by fork. I saved them a plate of food and the manager still charged me full price and was more interested in blaming the server until we showed her that corn was written on the ticket. I wont be back. Only 1 small peice of fish on the taco and too much coleslaw and wet fruits.

Never, have I felt so invisible. I gave my last jar of East Hill Honey to a visiting family member so I really needed some for my tea tomorrow. I usually get it from the Palafox market but missed it this holiday weekend, so I figured Id just take a trip to the cute market, pick up some honey and finally check the place out. The most I received was a slight glance from a unkept young lady sitting at a table with a seasoned couple. I walked around a bit, even walking through, to what I assume, was the café side, which was empty except for a teen and a younger boy sitting at one of the tables. NOT A SINGLE PERSON ACKNOWLEDGED ME. I guess I dont fit the criteria.

This is a wonderful family-owned business thats my favorite lunch spot in town. Pensscola has several eating establishments that have some of the best offerings Ive ever had anywhere in the,world and thid is one of them. My personal favorites are Tonys meatballs and their homemade soups. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention their killer brisket sandwiches. If youve never been here youre really missing out on some fabulous eats.

Wonderful spot for lunch. The meatballs are SOOOO good. My favorite item is tonys meatball special. Comes with a nice salad, focaccia bread, and then two HUGE (size of baseballs) meatballs in a tasty red sauce in a bowl, or you can go the meatball sub route as well which is HUGE. The Tonys Cheese Steak sandwich is also delicious. Fair warning, you will need to take a nap after either the meatball sub or cheese steak sandwich.

My husband & I had lunch here a few days before Christmas. The concept of this place is really awesome! However, the prices dont align with the quality of food and the service isnt executed well. Its confusing b/c you order at the deli counter, but are waited on at your table (once they locate you) and yet you have to return to the deli counter to pay when youre finished. We ordered a Philly, a Chicken Salad Sampler and we had a bottle of water & a bottled Darjeeling Tea. They ran out of the traditional Philly but didnt realize it until after we ordered, so my husband asked them to simply make it with chicken instead. (No big deal, it happens) They did this with no issue, which we appreciated. A woman, whom I presume was either an owner or manager was the one who was taking care of us after we ordered. She asked how the Philly Chicken turned out, since it wasnt the traditional menu item & my husband was honest & told her it was ok, but there was a very small amount of chicken on it in proportion to the bread, peppers & onions. Not to mention, for the price it doesnt come with Any side item! Just the sandwich... The chicken salad sampler I had was mediocre as well. It came with 3 different chicken salads, but the only difference I could see/taste with 2 of the 3 was that one had feta cheese on top & the other didnt. The third was a curry chicken salad, which again was ok. Nothing special or fantastic considering the cost. The woman gave us a discount for the Philly, and yet our bill was still $27!!! Absolutely disappointing...and I Really was excited about finally trying this place. The Market side had a few interesting items, but I was disappointed that the majority of the stuff they carry isnt even locally sourced. I would suggest the approach some of the Palafox & local Farmers Market vendors about carrying their products. If Im going to shop at a local market, I would like there to be a good variety of locally sourced products; not imported items from across the country. Especially when it comes to jams & jellies. This place is such a great concept! It just isnt being executed well....hopefully that will change & it will thrive long term.
