Holy cow these guys are good! As someone that has spent over 30 years in retail I know good business when I see one. I just went in for some maintenance items and upgrades for my zero turn and my rider. PAUL spent all of the time it took to not only makes sure I got what I needed but also printed out several pages so that I would have them for future needs.Lucky for me I was the only customer in the building and by the time I left I had talked to all of them . Great experience. I am a customer for life.The only reason I gave 5 starts is because they dont have 6 star reviews.
I recently removed the transmission from my riding mower and disassembled the various pieces, after recommendation from the parts counter I then took it all up to Beard equipment (50 minute drive from home) and asked for a service technician to take a look and give me an opinion on what I may need to replace with the mower not wanting to drive forward or reverse any faster than a trickle. I had the secondary variator, the belt, the pulleys and the whole plastic transmission, no pieces were missing minus the rest of the riding mower.The service technician after a quick glance said I dont see anything wrong you probably need to replace the whole transmission. I then go into the parts department who indicated I couldnt get just the transmission but the transmission plus all of the pulley and belt kits for $450 out the door.I refused to accept that diagnosis, went home and began putting it back together. I then realized after watching a video for reassembly and looking at what I had on hand, my belt was 1/2 as thick as it should have been, easily identifiable to the naked eye and should have been to a certified John Deere technician.$30 later on eBay for just the belt and a few days later, nothing more, reassembled and I now have a riding mower that drives forward and reverse at optimal speeds.I have zero support for a company that refuses to give honest answers, encourages you to spend more money than necessary, and doesnt care what my opinion is. I have heard this isnt just a local issue for John Deere this is a company wide problem, so theres that...
They told my 88 year old father that they would deliver his tractor on Tuesday. No one showed up and no one called. When my father called at the end of the day, they said they were too busy to deliver it! It’s Saturday and it has still not been delivered. Not any way to treat our senior citizens especially our veterans and it’s horrible customer service.

Took my grandfathers John Deere riding lawn mower here for him to get it serviced. The woman I spoke with couldnt have been nicer. Got it back before the two weeks that she estimated it would take (due to them being busy and one of the two service guys being on vacation). 5 stars and will go back.

Parts guys are very knowledgeable and willing to help beyond what they had to!! Went in to see about purchasing a pin for my FEL.. the rep that was first to ask if I needed help knew exactly what I had in my hand when I told him the make and model, out of 3 different part numbers on that loader he didnt even ask which one it was... went and grabbed the part a second rep came over and took a look at my part along with the new on and said lets measure it before purchasing to see how bad it is.. turns out it wasnt worn as much as I thought. So they suggested it didnt need it but also wouldnt hurt to replace it if I felt I needed to!!! It hard to get that kind of service out of most parts counters... heck most places dont even know what your looking for if you give them their part number!!Thanks again to the two gentlemen that assisted me with my issue!

Wanted a 3pt hitch hydraulic kit (called Top and Tilt kit) installed on my 2016 John Deere 4066R. They had some trouble figuring out the correct parts and ended up trying to install the wrong parts - they then finally called a factory rep and got the correct parts ordered (what they should have done in the first place). Very long story short, the tractor was at their shop for a total of 4 weeks and they blew my original quote out of the water charging me for the extra labor it took to take the wrong parts off and install the correct parts (the parts manager literally told me that when I questioned the huge bill). The reason Im giving 2 stars is that the work appears to be done properly - good job to the guys out back turning the wrenches - but the service departments ordering, billing and communication practices are a firm 1 star. Ill maybe buy parts they have in stock for common maintenance I do myself but I will not use them for service in the future nor will I recommend them. Too unpredictable. I have used Smith Tractor for many years and have always had good experiences - the drive to Atmore or Jay is worth it.

Do not buy Stihl products from them or have them service your Stihl equipment!!! I purchased a Stihl BG50 blower and FS 40 C-E trimmer from them in the last two years. My trimmer was sputtering out so I took it to them on 9/7/18. They looked my trimmer up and said it was covered under the warranty and then called me back on 9/13/18 to say that the carburetor needed to be replaced. They quoted me a price of $137.00 to repair it or I could buy a new one for $159.95. I spoke to every member of their Service department on 9/14/18 and told them I had purchased the extended warranty from Stihl. All of them said it wasnt covered under the warranty. I explained to them that I used Ethanol free gas and kept my fuel in a clean environment. Still they said I was at fault. Later on that day I went to a neighboring Stihl dealer in the area to look at other trimmers to purchase. I cried the blues to them about how my last unit lasted only two years. They asked if I had my old unit with me (Which I did) and they looked up the warranty and said it was covered and it would only cost me $7.00 to fix it. At worst case scenario it would have cost $80.00 to replace the old carburetor themselves if it came to that. Never have I ever seen such poor management of warranty execution and I will be lodging a formal complaint with Stihl.
