I called Chris early A.M. and informed him that I lived over 200 miles away and he had a vehicle on his lot that I wanted to look at and possible buy it, he took my word and held the vehicle to allow my wife and I time to arrive, test drive the vehicle, and buy the vehicle at an outstanding price! He also filled the vehicle with gas and sent my wife and me to a beautiful very good restaurant ( McGuires) for lunch while we waited for some minor detailing of my vehicle to be completed. Long story short we left there with a very good and beautiful vehicle, at a huge discount, full free tank of gas, and a belly full of good food. We really thought these were good people. We bought a 17k $ Jeep & after 3 weeks the car was not drivable at all. We now have to pay 3500$ For a USED transmission, not even a new one for this vehicle. Would not buy a vehicle from them. They SCREWED us over big time now we owe 15 thousand on a car we cannot even drive and didn’t even have it for 1 month. Don’t buy from these people. They sold the car as is so of coarse we are responsible but when a transmission gives out after 3 weeks of buying we all know they sold us a broken car. Thanks for the worst experience. Will make sure to get it out there that you all do bad business. And care less about your customers after you sell the car.

Bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee March 3rd 2020 2014. Very nice looking car. After owning the vehicle that I paid 17k$ for, it wasn’t drivable by March 18th. I had it looked at and was told the transmission is completely gone along with the coils. These people seems very nice to my family and I but I’m disgusted with the service I was given and the car that was obviously sold me to me with hidden problems. I am in a hole now and my family is out of a car. I spent a lot of money to get the car and now I have to pay 4K for a used transmission. I will never buy another car from here and will not suggest anyone else does. Sure not all are broken but if they knew it had issues they shouldn’t have sold it. & whether it was as is or not you hid the problems from me and didn’t care about me once I left your lot. Worst experience.

I gave this place 5 stars because of their vehicle selection, cleanliness of the lot, very nice people, and the salesmans work ethic. Although, the salesman are not very knowledgeable of the financing part of buying a vehicle, and honestly my salesman told me he really didnt care if he sold me a vehicle because he was retired and this was just a job to get him out of the house. I went there with my truck and $3,500 to trade on a vehicle, they worked for hours only to say that they couldnt find a bank that would do the trade, so I left there and went to another lot and trade for a vehicle $15,000 more than the vehicle I was trying to get here and with $0 down. So if you have cash money I would recommend this place, but dont try to finance through them because youll be there for hours only to leave empty handed.

I purchased a 2006 chevy silverado from Chris Carroll in August of 2019. I wanted to wait a few months before sharing my experience so I could give the truck time to develop potential issues. I’ll start with the buying experience. I was in and out in under 2 hours, to include getting the loan over the phone. The staff was low pressure and hassle free, and was happy to let me drive the truck right away. I had to drive the truck 1,100 miles home to Maryland, which the truck made with zero issues. The only problem I encountered was upon return to Maryland, and attempting to register the truck, I realized that I was charged FL sales tax, and because MD doesn’t have reciprocity, I had to pay MD tax on the sales price of the vehicle on top of what I just paid FL. One call to Barb, and she took care of it quickly, and I received a check as soon as the cleared it with the FL dmv. I was impressed with how helpful Barb was, even calling down to the MD MVA, and fighting with them for me just to find out the status of the title. Now on to the truck itself. It was sold “as is” which I understand is always a gamble, especially since it had 200k miles on it. I was not put off by this as I do all of my own repairs, and these are super easy to work on. I have had a few minor mechanical issues in the first 8k miles, but they all occurred in the months after the 1,100 mile drive home, and were negligible in cost. Overall for the price I got a great deal, and theres a reason why I bought a truck in FL instead of MD, RUST, which this truck is free of. The buying experience was awesome and the staff is great, just know what you are getting into if you are buying an as is vehicle over 10 years old, of course its going to have issues, not the dealerships fault. All in all would recommend Chris Carroll to anyone

Horrible customer service! Salesman was not very personable at all! We had cash in hand to buy a truck for my son who is active duty navy. Didnt need any financing. Should have been one of the easiest deals anyone had to do all day. My son saw a beautiful 2008 blue and tan f150 that we test drove and he loved. Salesman stated the vehicle had been on the lot for over 55 days, so it was clear it was not selling. You had a buyer with cash on your lot. I found the upper front strut bolts finger loose and the salesman told me he could bring me a wrench and he would let me tighten them. Are you serious? So we start talking price, or at least I tried, he cut me off and firmly said negotiations were over, that they would not budge on the price no matter what. Really? You didnt even try. All I did was ask if there was wiggle room in the price, because even the sites you advertised the truck online with, said your asking price was almost $2k higher than the highest book value for that truck. We just wanted you to come down on the price $1k. Does not seen unreasonable to me. So we walked and went down the road to Auto Group Wholesale and the salesman was great!! Although we had only planned on spending $12k when we set out for the day, because of his salesmanship, honesty and willingness to take the time to talk with and negotiate with us, he got us to spend $14k on a one owner truck with less miles!! So being military for the past 24 years and now with my oldest son being active duty, along with my youngest son getting ready to enlist as well, you can be absolutely positive that Ill make sure everyone knows how Chris Carrol Automotive treats customers! To keep it simple, I bought a 2014 GMC Sierra a couple months back. Had the car fax pulled and asked if anything serious happened to it. Salesman told me no, just a minor accident. Few days ago truck shut off and won’t crank. Now it’s in the shop, I found out it’s motor was replaced. The motor will be covered by an extended warranty I PURCHASED. But if you buy from this place make sure you do your research on the vehicles they sell, this is mainly a post about how ignorant I was when I bought it and I don’t want anyone else making the same mistake from a dishonest dealership. Had a good experience when I was purchasing - they couldnt have been more friendly and accommodating. 31 days after my purchase, I began to experience transmission problems. Now, less than 90 days later, Im waiting for the tow truck to take it back to the transmission shop. Looks like Im going to be out quite a bit of $$$$ on this purchase.
