My transmission went on my 2016 Hyundai Elantra and I chose Mr. Transmission to do the repairs. They took the transmission apart and called to tell me it had to be rebuilt. They later found out that the transmission is difficult because it cannot be rebuilt and has to be replaced. I paid for the repairs up front so they could order the new transmission and was told it will be a few weeks to get. I rented a car and waited for two weeks and did a phone call to check the status and they had no update. This went on for 7 weeks. I completely exhausted my savings in the car rental and A.J at Mr. Transmission talked to me and offered to pick up the rental until the new transmission came in. A.J. also ordered custom made clutches to do a rebuild to get me back in my car. I drove the car a few weeks and it was rough. I went back to tell A.J. about it and he said not to worry about it because the new transmission arrived. I dropped the car off and they had it changed out in a day. It took over 10 weeks from time of order to arrive. Its the world we live in today. I was frustrated through the process but Josh and A.J. took car of me and got me back on the road.

My shifter cable and shifter on my Hummer H3 locked up. Instead of lying and charging me $5000 for a transmission they searched and found the problem which was the cable and shifter inoperable. Very happy I wasn’t robbed and lied to as I am a working man who doesn’t have $5000 like I would have been charged down the street. Don’t judge this company off of looks they are the ones to use.

Well it kind of starts off like this how to check engine light on I already had it checked out at AutoZone and he said it was a 420 code plug Cadillac converter but the car didnt have no power so I didnt understand and I took it to Mr transmission The owner and manager tried to tell me I had a transmission problem but to me the transmission shifted fine just had no power so instead of letting them work on my car I took it to an exhaust shop and had a new Cadillac converter installed now my car is great no thanks to Mr transmission tried to rip me off for a transmission

We were traveling in the area in a RV with no toad, stuck at a Walmart with a transmission issue. After calling 6-7 shops (including this one) and getting no help, we called AJ back and his response was ‘you still can’t find any help? Come on over and we’ll figure it out’. He was busy as all were, but made time to get us back on the road in 3 days. He took us to a nearby hotel and was upfront and honest with everything done. He is reasonable and knowledgeable and has a great crew working for him. I highly recommend his shop!

I have used this Mr Transmission for a Mountaineer that I had. They rebuilt the transmission for it and then they Rebuilt the transmission in my 2014 Chrysler van in 2018. My van’s transmission had an issue where the fluid leaked out yesterday and I was able to drive to Mr Transmission Just before closing and they we’re able to fix it the next day and didn’t charge me a dime. They are professional and do great work and they stand behind their work. Great group of guys and management.Thank you Mr Transmission. It is nice to have reputable people that you can count on.

No bull kinda shop. Everyone here is trust worthy. I personally witness the manager take a phone call where a customer was requesting a new clutch be put into his vehicle due to an issue he believed he had. The manager proceeded to tell him that the clutch was fine and that the issue is actually a normal function on the vehicle and that he would change out the part at the customers request but that he didnt need it and the guy didnt want to just take his money for no reason. I personally was only there was a warranty inspection due to having a new transmission put in.

Purchased used vehicle with transmission that was replaced by Mr Transmission in Pensacola three weeks prior to my purchase. Transmission went out but since the vehicle is under new ownership, the warranty is now null and void, not even 30 days into the warranty.

We had a friend go here. He diagnosed it as a transmission problem (which they fixed cheaply, by the way). Turns out it had nothing to do with the transmission. Our friend spent over 3 grand for something that didn’t need fixing. The real problem was fixed for free by the dealership because it was recalled. Then when he called the company to explain his frustration of wasting 3 grand on something that was MISDIAGNOSED, he was cussed out and called horrible names. Needless to say, our friend is taking legal action against this CONMAN.Do not go here!!

2016 GMC Yukon XLWe were on vacation in Navarre and had come to Pensacola to shop on a Wednesday. We exited the interstate and our transmission quit pulling. Called Mr Transmission per a local individuals recommendation that thankfully was less than 1/2 mile from where we were. Mr. A.J. said bring it on over and he would check it out. After pulling the pan and seeing the piles of metal shavings in the pan it was determined the transmission would need replaced/rebuilt. I explained that we were scheduled to start back home the next day. Mr A.J. and Mr Dean searched far and wide trying to locate one to get us back on the road. All his suppliers was saying 7 to 10 days to get one to us. After 8 to 10 different phone calls they found one they could have the next day (Thursday) and would have us back on the road Friday. I mentioned we would search for a rental car and Mr A.J. told Mr Dean to locate us a rental car. The rental car was 7 miles away but Mr A.J. seen to it we were able to get there. He provided the diagnosis, found us a rental car at no extra cost to the quoted repair price. Transmission arrived as stated, repair was completed and Friday afternoon we picked up the Yukon and we drove for 9-1/2 hours home with absolutely no issues. They are lining up a 30 day check up with a local transmission shop in our area at no extra cost. Mr A.J. and the staff at Mr Transmission went above and beyond Excellent service. The price quoted was the final price paid. Thank you again Mr. A.J. for getting us back on the road in a timely manner!!!!

My Sentra with less than 100k on the odometer had a slipping trans. Brought her in, they inspected and suggested a replacement. The team moved quickly to have the part shipped, but not before going the extra mile to make sure there were no recalls or warranty help available. Called to schedule a drain and fill for my 2002 Honda Accord V6 automatic transmission. I had also inquired about transmission solenoid replacement or repair, was told the techs were all busy, and the person on the phone was unable to answer my questions. Left a phone number, a explanation of my inquiries and no-one even bothered to call me back.I instead invested in a all-data subscription, and have performed all the work myself.Lost customer, highly dissatisfied, as I was hoping to find a shop willing to perform lifetime service intervals on my vehicles.

Honest and professional. They went out of their way to check, inspect, road test and advise me all at no cost. They could have just as easily set a appointment and service what didnt need to be done but they went out of their way to help me. And all done within 20 minutes! Ill be back for any future issues.

Im typing this review because of me being a close observer of every conversation, work and money spent at Mr. Transmission that a close personal experienced. I never write reviews that are not directly related to me. But, this needs to be known. My friend spent over 3 thousand for a rebuilt transmission. The transmission started to have major problems at 40k miles. When the car was taken back to Mr. Transmission he tried to say that it was electrical or misfiring was the problem before even looking at it. Even after my friend told him it is not shifting properly and getting stuck in 2nd gear, clearly transmission issues. He the then kept the car for 4 days and concluded that he needed a radiator cap and it needed oil. When my friend disputed this he told him to get off property. He is now out the .money and transmission issues are worse. Do not go here. These are all facts. Based on an unbiased observation

Mr. Transmission did an excellent job replacing my transmission. I waited 1 year to see how it held up before leaving a review and have had no problems. My Ford Explorer runs as well as before it was replaced. They even gave me an estimate before I let them look at it, and the final repair cost was almost exactly what they quoted. I am very pleased with their work, and would highly recommend them.

After about 215k miles on my 06 F150, the transmission went out. Mr Transmission was the 3rd and last repair shop I contacted. They towed me in and my truck was ready to go and running smoothly in just a few days.They really took the time to explain the repair and AJ was the best to work with.. I was told by someone else that I was going to be looking at $2000-$3000 for transmission work, when i woke up one morning and my truck wasnt working. I had it towed to A.J. at Mr. Transmission and he promptly got to work trying to diagnose the problem. He was able to get diagrams and the appropriate equipment to diagnosis an electrical problem and not a transmission problem. He got the problem fixed and I was looking at $600 instead of $2000. I will definitely recommend Mr. Transmission and be going back(hopefully no time soon) if need be.

77 Chevy I drove my New truck across country twice and wasted my transmission. I drove it low on fluid a few times until it would not drive anymore. My name should be under Joseph edwards with these people they did good work as far as rebuilding my transmission but as far as putting the transmission in the car im sure the guy who worked on my car which is a 2013 ford esacpe has no idea what the hell he was doing to my car first it broke a cv axle and also it started leaking engine coolant and for some reason everytime i turn the ac on my car start acting funny also after i got the car back from them my radio does not work aswell so i would highly recommend taking your car somewhere else they say you pay what you get for please keep in mind that i bought new and have never had to have it worked since now so i really wouldnt give this place a 1 star

I went to have a clutch replaced and the pin that holds my stick in to shift gears fell out while I was driving (couldnt shift in/out of gear). My bill was around ~1900 for the repairs before the bolt so you can gauge what others may charge. The main guy is abrasive and difficult to communicate with, but this was my experience yours could be different.

I just had my 2013 Silverados transmission rebuilt at Mr transmission. They were friendly, fast and done a great job. I dont usually go with the cheapest price but due to the holidays, money being short and needing the vehicle I had to and this time I am glad I did. I met the mechanic that actually rebuilt my trans mac. He was able to explain what went wrong with my trans and what he replaced. A.J. was quick to give me courtesy a call after a couple of days to make sure I was happy and the truck worked properly. Overall I would reccomend Mr.Transmission for repairs even though they are the cheapest, you wont be sorry.

Got to be the worst transmission place in Pensacola. Took my 2005 F150 in to have it work on and they replace the transmission twice and put a new or rebuilt torque converter in it. Took truck in many times to get transmission fixed final gave up. I threw almost 2000 dollars down the drain . would not recommend this transmission shop to anyone rip off for sure. Owner is very rude.

Took my truck in for a repair and found out I needed a new transmission and a new radiator. AJ and his guys worked really hard to get my truck back in top notch operation. Okay. 2 years ago when I was in high school my transmission went out in my 99 ram, grandparents took it here and they had it rebuilt and running good in a day, cost about 1500 bucks I believe. Kept the truck for about 2 more months and then sold it but it ran very solid during this time. A couple of weeks ago bought a truck on Craigslist that needed transfer case work, and since I had good luck here with my dodge I took it back. From what I understood the transfer case needed some slight repairs. A day goes by and I get a phone call saying my whole transfer case is shot I need a completely new one yada yada yada. I start calling around part stores, call my family mechanic, and everyone I talked to said GO GET THE TRUCK AND TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE. I called back and told the old man who works the front desk (AJ) that I wanted to explore my options. He then comes down drastically on the price and tells me he can get it completely redone for nearly half the cost and makes everything sound great of course. The truck was ready in about 3 days. Since then I have taken it back 3 separate occasions because it wont stop leaking. 3 times in the past week. I dropped it off yesterday and they called and said it was ready to go within the next 1-2 hours, he told me some pretty words that made the work sound justifiable. The truck is going back again today for the FOURTH time. I dont believe theyre respecting the oh so coveted 90 day warranty I was told I had. Although they havent been a hassle to deal with nor get the truck back to the shop; I personally dont think my issue has been taken care of correctly. I dont know if my young age has anything to do with it or why the truck hasnt been done right. Like I said my transmission was flawless and I know was done correctly when my grandfather dealt with it. but I will keep posted on the truck as the process proceeds.

Refused to flush my transmission fluid. I understand the whole high mileage its not recommended thing, but I just want my torque converter flushed out, 149,000 miles on my 06 isnt that bad, the dealer doesnt even require you to change it but I want to anyways.
