Great place to find stuff for the right price. They deliver too. Never had a problem with any staff, theyre pretty friendly.

Tonight we went in 30 minutes till close. The staff was very rude and pushy. 15 minutes till close you have 10 minutes to get the registers others wise we wont serve you. If you close 6pm you take till 6pm. Mind you this was the boss she corrected the team saying this. We will never be back. I never buy from a place thats rude to customers. We drive 40 minutes to come here and get yelled at for being there close to closing time

Its not the fanciest or tidiest thrift store. But, prices are great, the selection changes frequently, and they have some really helpful staff.

I bought a couch and had it delivered. Jamie coordinated everything efficiently and was very friendly. Jeff and Danny delivered the couch, and maneuvered it up stairs and a very tight turn. They were so awesome, professional and pleasant. Will definitely return to the store. Great experience.

The Hope Chest is a wonderful place to pick up some slightly used items for cheap. My experience with The Hope Chest is only positive, and my experience with it is fantastic. I would highly recommend taking a stop by, as you never know what you are going to find.

My wife bought a kids toy a marble track.. Was zip ties closed couldnt check it to see if all the pieces where in it. She got home ready to pit it together with our 2 year old I came in to help and right away I found it impossible to do couldnt even make it past step 1 because a bass plate was missing. Needless to say I am a little upset about it. To make my first review ever.

This is the best thrift store EVER. you can always find a treasure or something youve been needing. from a tea bag squisher to tee shirt, magazine rack to umbrella stand. they have it all if you spend time looking. and your business is appreciated because it helps the community. The Hope chest is such a great store! Everyone is always smiling and helpful! Their ability to help those in need and their recent adaptations to the services they have are unlike most of the places in this area! So many programs for those who are homeless, recently relocated, those below the poverty line, help for parents during the school year and Christmas as well! You can’t beat the prices either!

The hope chest is amazing. You can always find great clothes for very low prices. They provide a lot of great services for the community. Everyone there is so nice. Even with Furniture as inexpensive as it is they still provide delivery of that furniture for a nominal price. I love the hope chest Im sure you will too!

I dont know why but I love this place, I always buy at least one bag full of stuff.I like digging through all the stuff that they have, sometimes I unearth treasures. The clothes are really affordable and everything go to the church or is donated to people in need. So much better than supporting Goodwill industries and their CEO that is paid millions every year.

Very big thrift store with great prices and a very nice staff. You can bring your donations, they have staff to receive it and help you if needed. You can visit the floor with different sections and might find a thing or two. They accept boxes as well as they are needed we were told.

Really cheap stuff, and they have all kinds of things to check out. Gotten 2 recliners for a good price too! A pretty polite guy will help load them in to your truck too

If you are in need of furniture and you are working with a budget, I would highly recommend that you check out the store! They have a large and constantly rotating selection of sofas, love seats, chairs, recliners, beds, tables, chests, dressers and more... Whats better is you can buy what you need for what you would typically pay one of the furniture stores in town for just one month of financing something new.2. Clothes are typically $1 - $2 per piece, so you can get an entire outfit for the price of a T-Shirt at Walmart. I can personally attest to purchasing an entire 3 piece suit with shoes, belt, and tie for under $12.00. If I would have gone to a store like Mens Warehouse, that would cost upwards of $700!!3. They have tons of opportunities to volunteer and if you are looking for work that is a GREAT way to get hands-on experience while working hard and getting a positive reference for future employment opportunities!4. They care. I have been at rock bottom, gone in, and the staff here has gone out of their way to help me get out of the rut. They are truly living His word and His works here.So, what are you waiting for, make like Macklemore and go thrift shopping!!

Very fair prices with daily deals. They occasionally have food and produce available. Recently reorganized and its much less cluttered. Staff is always friendly and they often help those in need. If youre ever needing to get rid of clothes, trinkets, furniture, etc I would suggest dropping them off here.

Has all kinds of items at great prices if you are willing to dig! Building not the best. Parking is limited. Grocery store across the street now has signs up that they will tow your car if you use their parking lot

Loved the great Birthday sale prices was great got a ton of things lots of pants since Im loosing weight and can be buying brand new each time I go down a size. What would have cost me over $43.00 cost me less than $20.00 had I bought all new would have been over $300.00. They all looked almost new and one pair still had tags on them where they was new not bad for $.40 cents a pair. Also found a bunch of new and gently used nicknacks. That was included in the cost of $19.62 .and it really was only $9.62 because my husband won a $10.00 gift card. Love the place but they would bring back the punch cards.

Absolutely love this place! Crazy cheap clothing, even for a thrift store. Not a huge selection but you definitely can find some good stuff!I enjoy rehabbing older wooden furniture soIm sure stop every week or two to check out the inventory since it changes often.

We always donate our stuff to the hope chest. They have very good prices. They have furniture, clothing, appliances, toys, books, Christmas ornamental items, and they are run by a christian based group.

I love this thrift store. It is true to the name thrift store. They do not remodel it, they use the money to help the community. They do not have a lot of mens clothing ever. But when they have it in and youve hit the jackpot especially if you have a growing boys. Tons of womens clothing and knick-knacks.. A good size toy department. Most stuff is dirt cheep but you have to look for quality items. Donate to these people before any other store. Clothing is 99 cents and money stays in the community rather then CEOs pockets. Parking sucks because its always full and not a lot of it.

Great place to get new and gently used things store is organized and clean the employees are helful and very polite they even have a food pantry on Tuesdays and Thursdays youll have to check start time but they close it at 4pm. Donations accepted as well

The thrift store has some of the most amazing ppl working and volunteering their time. Many of the workers have been familiar fixtures their since I become a customer several years ago. They are some of the hardest working ppl youll ever meet. The business gives back to the community 10 fold. My only complaint might be with the furniture (sofas, chairs, bedroom furniture). It seems over priced for what you can purchase new at retail stores in this day and age. Youre often better off buying a cheap $200 fabric sofa from UFS or Walmart thats new, clean and lasts just as long as a $70 used sofa without worrying about whats on, under or IN the used furniture. That being said, I have seen some awesome furniture, even new furniture, at the Hope Chest, at more than generous prices. I love the place!

Favorite thrift shop ever!!! This place has allowed me to change my entire wardrobe for a reasonable price. Its the only place I can get like new namebrand clothes for not only myself but my children as well for only a dollar a piece!!! I absolutely love this place, we drive from peoria to pekin solely to go to hopechest. I recommend this place to everyone I know. Just an example of some of the stuff I bought for a buck: like new Calvin Klein sweater dress (which at Bergeners on sale was $89.) Gap Jeans, Element Hoodie (still had a tag on it)... and the list goes on.Yeah its a little messy, but its totally worth it!Also, this place ACTUALLY gives back to the community in many ways and is one of the few local places I will actually donate to.

This store is very dirty, houses down the street behind this store are infested with mice since this establishment has been open. It has also been known to have bed bugs in some of their bed and material made items. Please use caution when purchasing anything from this store.
