One of the best memories of our recent move was listening to one of our movers singing after six hours of packing up our house to move. Not only was the staff professional, courteous, careful, and diligent, but they found JOY in their work. Even after an eight hour move, in the Texas heat and rain, they were amazing. I cannot rave enough about David and his team. Our moving date was changed three times and he was able to accommodate our situation with grace and professionalism. He was upfront about pricing, insurance, and policies and his team was top-notch. Without a doubt, I would recommend them to anyone.

I just moved for my 3rd time with A1. I have Moved 3 times since 2013 and I’ve trusted A1 with each move. They have always done a great job and worked with my sometimes complicated schedule. This last move involved them packing a pod for me for an out of state move and they did it efficiently and fast. They even packed a Tv for me that I couldn’t Find the tools for to take off the stand. The movers were very hard working and communicated well. I’m saddened that they are not in Florida for me to use to unpack my pod. I would Continue to recommend them to anyone in Houston. I’ve moved a lot in my life and finding trust worthy movers is very hard, I was Glad I could Count on them for 3 moves.

Lesson LearnedIf you go with A1 Best Movers get Extra insurance. The movers were cool. They even helped me make an additional stop since my sectional would not fit through the door of our family room. However, the dolly they used to bring in our boxes caused serious damage to hardwood floors. After reporting the damages, I was informed that the standard insurance did not cover damages done to the floors. So read and re-read the moving agreement. Then get the extra insurance.If I had to make another move I would not choose A1 Best Movers.

Amazing company! Another moving company canceled on me after the arrival time and I was panicked when every company I called said it would be two weeks before they could help. Thankfully A1Best Movers called me back immediately and had a three men crew to my house the next day. The movers were very professional and insanely fast. All of my China and antiques arrived without any damage. I can’t say enough good things about this company I will definitely be recommending them to family and friends

Used these guys to move two heavy pieces yesterday. They were able to come out on short notice, same day. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but Ronnie and crew did a good job. They were friendly and professional, and didnt damage the walls, doors and floors at the source or destination despite navigating some pretty tight angles with the heavy, awkward equipment. I will be using them again.

We had about 36 hours to move my business from one location to a new building. It’s a veterinary practice, and it was critical to my patients to be moved and completely ready to open Monday at 7:30 am. We worked half a day Saturday, then A-1 got started. It wasn’t easy! In addition to moving fragile, expensive equipment and furniture, about 50 stainless steel cages had to be taken apart, moved and reassembled. The crew was prompt, professional, careful and worked hard and fast. It went without a problem. Thank you A1 !! I highly recommend them!

My movers broke my $179 dresser. Before moving, I asked if the drawers needed to be taken out and they said no. Over email and phone, they offered a $100 discount and said they would try to fix my dresser. I agreed. It’s now been almost 2 weeks and they have not scheduled or come to fix my dresser. I have several clothes that I am unable to access because the drawers are collapsing in on themselves. I tried to give them a chance and support small business, but I would not use them again because of the unresponsiveness and general unprofessionalism.

I was very happy with this company. They accomodated me by fitting me in on the day I requested just 1 day ahead of time. Great price as well. The 2 movers were friendly, fast, strong (took 3 movers last time with a different company for my previous huge piano), very careful, and came within the window that they told me they would. The movers even fixed the piano stool which was wobbly before they even came to move my new piano from the other persons house to my house. I was very happy with the service i received. Great customer service! David is an excellent texter which makes it nice when you are working during the day and cant answer every phone call. The crew showed up on time, worked quickly and carefully, and got my furniture to the right location quickly. Upon putting all of my furniture in the house, they accidentally kept a small pack of screws that went with a mirror on a piece of furniture. They went out of their way to bring it by the next day, no questions asked.

Our experience was terrible. We were told they would be there at 8:30A.M. and did not show until after 9:30A.M. They told us it would take 1 day and it took 2. They did extensive damage to our hardwood floors and stairs on floors two, three and four. They damaged our sectional sofa so bad it had to be replaced. They did over $1000 in damage to our refrigerator. We had to move back out of our house less than two months after moving in to have the floors repaired at our expense. It took 3 men over 3 hours to do the touch up paint from the damage they caused. We asked for an itemized, detailed invoice for over a month and only received an invoice with a total. The owner David Hernandez Jr., via email, said he would take care of all of the damages and has not. We now have to take legal action to get back as much of our very hard earned money as possible. The owner David Hernandez Jr. has no integrity and does not keep his word. I would not recommend anyone to use A1 Best Movers services as they have proved to me they are low rate and nonprofessional amateurs in the moving business.

David and his team moved me across town in mid-November and despite a few bulky things and last-minute packing on my end, the movers got all of our belongings to my new apartment safe and sound. I would highly recommend A1 Best Movers.

I had reserved a rental truck for 9am. We arrived around 9:10 and the business wasnt opened. 2 of the employees, who seemed to be drunk or hungover, said that the owner should arrive around 9:30. We waited until 10 oclock, and the person in charge had yet to arrive. Needless to say, we were put behind an hour due to incompetence. Also, we ended up having to go elsewhere for a rental truck due to us being on a time crunch.

While there are a plethora of moving companies that service the greater area I could not have been more satisfied with the truly professional, timely and courteous staff of A1 Best Movers. Was very good working with the guys at A-1 movers. Was our first time for home moving and they sent 2 guys our way. They were both friendly and very efficient. They allowed us to help but handled all the heavy lifting professionally. Entire move took about 4 hours which was better than expected. And no damage to any our belongings. BEWARE! They are very unprofessional movers and do not have a sense of customer service. They showed up late for my move and when I texted David Hernandez (Owner of A 1 Best Movers) instead of accepting that his guys were late, David still charged me for that time. They started the moving work late and were very slow throughout the process. They were unreasonably slow. A very stressful and bad customer service experience with them. Do not use them if you want peaceful stress-free move.

Our experience was horrible. We moved 1 week ago from TX to FL. We had 3 guys that came and load our furniture (fortunately me and my husband packed everything). They showed up without tools, not even a screwdriver (what moving company doesnt have tools??) We had to repeatedly tell them to please cover our furniture with blankets and bubble wrap. And I found few pieces that were not wrapped at all. So me and my husband had to do it!! They broke my dining room table, and said..OPS Sorry!!!! Really???They were slow as well considering it was 3 of them and everything was packed already, but at the time I didnt give it to much importance!Furniture arrived in FL and its all messed up! My kids bedroom set that is not 1 year old yet, is totally ruined. The bed is missing 1 leg. The dresser in the master bedroom has 2 holes in the back. Brand new washer is messed up on top, fridge door is messed up as well.All the furniture, and I repeat ALL THE FURNITURE has scratches all over and when we called the owner to see if we could get some money back he said NO.We moved 3 times in 6 years and never seen anything like this!!! Very disappointed!!

They post that they open at 9am and we get here and the older guy states the guy who knows how to work the computer won’t get here for about 30-45 minutes. I am on a timed schedule for this move and this is definitely pushing my time.

Our experience with A 1 Best Movers started out fairly well. David was very responsive and nice. Problems started when it came to the actual move.First off the truck was supposed to be at our house at 7:30AM on Friday. When 8AM rolled around Brandi calls David who apologizes and says truck is on the way. The A 1 shop is just right down the road from us but still no truck until 9AM. The guys that showed up were very nice and polite and loaded the truck to the point it was full. When it was full they closed up and left. There were still items in our house that were supposed to be moved that were not. My wife calls David but gets voicemail. Several hours later she gets ahold of him and he states if we would have called him he could take care of it. Correct me if I am wrong but it is easier to contact someone when they answer the phone or return a voicemail. So day one was a mess.Day 2 the movers are to be there at 8:30AM which they were. They unloaded everything and just about every piece of wood furniture has some sort of ding, scrape, or dent. Very poor handling.We receive the final invoice from David and he is trying to charge us starting at 8AM instead of 8:30AM. Keep in mind their contract states they round up to the next hour. So David is trying to bill us for a whole hour on a half hour that was not worked. Several times back and forth and David refuses to correct the billing.Save yourself some time and never deal with these people. You will not only be delayed and charged extra but will also end up with damaged furniture.

Want to share my experience with A1 Best Movers to warn others.Back in October we moved out of our home as it sold quickly and we are building a new construction home. We hired A1 Best Movers. We were promised three movers and given a time. Two movers showed up a little late. No big deal. However, the third mover showed up about two or three hours late. Upon arrival he got to work while his girlfriend who brought him continued to stand at the end of our driveway smoking cigarettes for a good 45 minutes. So odd. These men worked INCREDIBLY slow, paid by the hour. One of the men let us know that they would not be able to move our 60 inch TV because there was no wrapping ordered and that the owner of the company “should have” told us about this “wrap” for purchase. The same man also let us know that he would be opening his own moving company and that we should hire him when the time came to move from our storage unit into our new home. So unprofessional.The guys were not able to fit a lot of the stuff in the moving truck due to terrible packing. They were just going to leave it at our house that was closing the next morning! We hired movers to move, not leave our stuff in the house! So we loaded it up in our friends truck to be able to get everything to the storage unit. Upon arriving at the storage unit we discovered that a LOT of our furniture had been damaged. HUGE chunks of wood out of the legs of two dining chairs, deep dents at the edges of my daughters brand new dresser. Our year old washer has paint scratched off the top.Upon noticing the damage I called the owner of the company, David (and texted photos), to let him know how displeased I was with the damage and with his employees. He let me know that none of the damage would be covered since we did not purchase “additional insurance”. Aren’t all moving companies insured?” I asked him. He clarified that while he IS insured it only covers if the items are completely destroyed or unworking, not the damage to our furniture. Wow. Some coverage. At this point my husband had run back to the house to grab some other items and David let me know that I should let his employees know how displeased I was. A woman, there by herself at an empty storage facility with three unknown men. He wanted me to let them know that I was displeased. He bullied me into telling me that I needed to let his employees know I was unhappy. I did not feel comfortable doing that as they’re still putting our furniture in the storage unit! Pretty sure it’s not MY job to police HIS employees. We paid $800 for this terrible experience and damage to our belongings.After everything was complete I spoke with David and again expressed how unhappy we were. Letting him know that I would be leaving reviews of his business. He told me “please don’t do that. Let me make it right.” He said that when it was time to move into our new house he would have the damage patched up as good as he could and that we would be offered a discounted rate for our move. My husband and I considered not even dealing with them just because of the terrible experience, but we decided to give them another chance. Mainly because I wanted them to try and patch up the damage, as he said they would. He said that he would be present to be sure all operations ran smoothly for the move to the new house.On July 7th in anticipation for our move I emailed David to remind him of our experience and to let him know that we wanted to schedule our move from the storage unit to our new home to give him the chance to make it right. He emailed back that he would “contact me on Monday.” We heard nothing from him.Two weeks later (after hearing nothing back) we got our set closing date so I contacted David again to remind him that we wanted to get on the schedule.I finally got a response from David. A short “we are booked Monday-Thursday.” That’s it.So much for making it right. It’s apparent that our issue and damage was never a priority or concern. Absolute terrible business.

We learned about A-1 Best Movers from Able Self Storage in Pearland a year ago and have used them twice. Our house sold too fast and we had to move into an apartment, storing most of our things until we bought another home. From David to the crew, we were, for the first time, happy and impressed with a moving company.With these companies available a dime a dozen, this is no small feat! The second move was a little over a week ago and we have unpacked everything. We have lots of fine china and antiques....not a scratch on anything! When my husband and I were younger we used friends and family and had plenty of problems as Im sure is par for the course with everyone else. We dont plan to ever move again, but if we do, we will certainly be giving David a call again. We highly recommend this company, but dont wait to schedule, as we found this company is having no problem filling the appointment books.

Probably one of my worst moving experiences ever. They were almost 5 hours late and didnt show up till about 845pm. Damaged about half of my plastic tubs and scratched several pieces of furniture. They also damaged the drywall in my new apartment in several places, which I will now have to pay for when I move out. When I called to complain, the owner was rude and refused to do anything about it. If I could rate zero stars I would!

This place is a complete waste of time the owner is a joke does not have any sense of customer service and should not even be in business avoid this place at all costs. If you need to find a place to leave your trash go here it is a dump.
