This store has anything you could possibly need. I found an epic pair of steel toed boots that I needed for work at a very reasonable price. Very happy with my purchase.

Smaller than a few other Academys on the south side of beltway 8, but is a good size and conveniently located in East Pearland area.

Great place to shop for affordable shorts and shoes I purchased. Have Asics hiking shoes which are impossible to find where I live in Denver.

Just bought some bikes with my husband! Not a huge selection but found the perfect bikes for us. The employee, Aiden, was very helpful in helping us find the right bikes for us. The other employees were also helpful and kind! Clean store, prices were good, and there was a great selection of clothing.

I was spoken to upon entry by employee however I never was asked if I needed any assistance no salesperson was in two sections of the store I had to call someone who had purchased the dry fit arm sleeve and ask where in the store was it located ? I then got in line to make my purchase that is when I observed why little to no help in the departments they standing three or four up front speaking to customers as they come. I thought very nice and thoughtful.

This has been the best Academy Store I been to. They answer all my questions on the excercise bike that I was going to purchase. They went out their way to give me the best customer service ever. I been to others and they dont do much for their customers. I would difently come back to this store.

I wouldn’t even give this store 1 star. Im writing you this even as I am very disappointed in the customer service, or lack of, I received at your Pearland, Tx store tonight. A men’s cleat(for my 12yr old) had the wrong shoe displayed so at the register we were told it was $30 more than expected. Considering my child is growing nonstop, I will not spend $75 on his shoes. In addition, we cant really afford it since we just moved to Texas from Colorado 3 days before the storm. The assistant asked her mgr(im assuming) for help and her response to the situation was a shoe got moved there on accident, sorry. She never offered to honor the price we saw displayed. I told her that was horrible customer service. She was not trying to make the situation for the customer better. Ive been in customer service as a manager for 20+ years and have refunded thousands of dollars before to our clients—> whether our error or not, but to keep the client satisfied with our service as their partner. This employee did nothing to help us and because of that we will not support any Academy stores. Losing a customer is not anything a retailer can ever afford, yet she did not care to make things right. And word of mouth, with good & bad reviews can be very good or very bad for your company. I write this message as your employees should have better training in customer service & not losing a family of 5(who are very active & kids play 3 sports each) over $30. But those are hard earned dollars to us so her actions were extremely disappointing. I hope this message is received and things change at the store.

Took a little longer than expected to have my order brought up from the back. It was almost like they werent ready for me to be there, despite having sent me an email hours before saying my order was ready.

Clean up the dressing rooms. Otherwise, enjoy shopping there. Nice, personable employees. Shop there often.

It would be a better experience if they would follow the lifting of the anti-american mask mandate as directed on March 10th. I would not shop there if there was another mask-free option! We need more options! Stores were so quick to follow anti-american mandates but not so quick to follow when they are lifted.

Personally Ive found better prices on extreme offshore fishing reels here rather than at any other place near me. DONT FORGET: you can find items for your yachts here as well.I saved a little over $2,500 buying legal safety requirements at Academy. Better prices than my boat dealer.

I picked up a basketball for my son and looked at running shoes for me. Everything was a little pricey and no shoes for me. Not the same Academy that I once knew. Not my first choice for anything any more. I can take it or leave it.

I like Academy because they sell a wide variety of products. However they cannot be everything to everyone. I buy most of my firearms related items either online or from Carters Country. While Academy has products they just don t have the selection or quantity.I would like to see Academy invest in sales staff that has experience with firearms and related products. Its not easy to get hunting and/or firearms expertise from sales staff that is still in high school. They havent been there or done that.

It’s a real shame, I have been shopping here since they opened and never had an issue until tonight, I was looking at the candy by the cash register with my back to the cashier and I hear mam, mam, mam move back. I was nowhere near anyone or even facing anyone. I will not be spending any more of my money there in the future.

Tried to exchange my Lews fishing reel today & was met with resistance. I normally do not fish but my buddy recommended Academy bc they have lifetime warranty he says. Wrong, its 60 days now & the Manager, Jason, was very rude when I explained to him my situation & just wanted some help exchanging. No, he didnt care that I am a healthcare provider taking care of COVID19 patients & would like some compassion. He didnt care if I would give bad reviews, its my rights. In addition, he accused me of threatening him? So, here you go Jason. I hope your district Manager discipline you & then some...very insensitive sir... shame on you! By the way, I will be returning all my purchases within the last 60 days & will advise everyone to do the same. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Overall very satisfied with my visit. Even though the stay at home order lifted. Didnt see alot of people with mask on in store. My whole family had a mask on. Still didnt stop us from shopping and buying the ESSENTIALS (AMMO).

Searched EVERYWHERE for a bike!! Online from whomever carried bikes NOTHING went to academy and they had BIKES!! Im excited now!!!!

I went to the Academy on Pearland Parkway on Sunday, March 17, at 9am looking for some walking shoes. I wear a size 11W and it gets difficult trying to find shoes in my size. I did find a pair on the display rack and began searching for ones in my size. After about 5 minutes a young store clerk came over and asked me if I needed help. I told her my dilemma and she immediately checked the store stock and said they showed one pair in my size. We searched and searched but to no avail. I found a second pair on my size on the display rack and began searching for those thinking they might be easier to find...I’m so funny. Anyway, the search for either shoe proved fruitless but the young store clerk refused to give up. She eventually went and got a ladder and checked behind the shoe boxes on the top rack. Lo and behold she found one of the pairs. Kudos to that young clerk for treating me like I was the only customer that mattered in the store that morning. She took 30 minutes out her morning just to find me a pair of shoes.
