I have been very pleased with my floors purchased from Floors for Living. I have purchased Shaw Wood Floors in the past and recently installed tile floors. Jared Streeter was especially helpful in the installation of tile which looks like wood. My daughter also had excellent experiences with Floors for Living in having carpet installed in her home. Donald Beach was very helpful and she is very happy with the carpet installed by Floors for Living.

This summer we got wood floors installed in two rooms in our house. Chris Prescott at the Pearland West location was extremely helpful in the whole process--helping us decide what type/color, explaining pricing, scheduling the installation, and helping us out when there was a tiny hiccup in the installation process. Our floors look great, we have a lifetime supply of cleaner, and an almost-full spare box of wood planks just in case.

I was searching various companies and getting quotes when I walked into Floors for Living. There, I met Mike Moody. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable from our initial meeting until the finish project. He agreed to come out the same day for a quote, and in doing so, the other companies were history from that point on. Mike negotiated his price to meet his competitors price. He set up accurate delivery dates and he also told me he was sending the best workers from the company... The guys came out and delivered what appeared to be beautiful floors.FAST FORWARD- I initially gave the 1st part of this review back in March. My review today is a totally different outcome. Keep in mind, a week after my install is where my horror story begins. Once a week passed, I started noticing hollow spots, high/low areas, squeaking, sticky sounds and you name it. I reached out to Mike immediately and he put me in the system as having a customer service issue. Keep in mind that my initial install happened a week before Covid 19 became real and serious enough to shut the city down. Mike still lived up to his word and had Jarred from the customer service team reach out a week later. I have to admit I was afraid to have anyone in the house again due to me having a pre existing lung issue, therefore, I put off having the floors checked out until the 1st of July. I totally had enough of these horrible installed floors and called to make that service call happen. Jeff from the company came out as promised and he noticed the issues I was having and/or complaining about. Jeff had Jarred schedule to have the floors repaired. This is where it got real and overwhelming for me to process. What I thought could be a simple repair turned out to technically be a reinstall of mostly the entire floor/house. Just imagine, a nightmare on Elm Street. Keep in mind the dirt, dust and moving furniture once was enough, but twice was a bit much to swallow. I had to call a maid service in the 1st time because it was entirely so much dirt, dust and scrubbing needed to be done. Imagine a second time, Hmmmm! This time, I’m having to do the same, but another issue is that I had put wax down on the initial floors right after they installed in March . Ugh...The company reused most of the material they initially put down that had wax on it and then some of their new flooring with no wax. I have a hot mess of a floor right now because they smeared thinner on the waxed floors to clean them. Now I have floors that look gross, dirty and not well kept. I’m left to figure this mess out and it’s so frustrating for a project that cost me so much money. I truly appreciate the effort in the company making sure things were redone, but it’s a bit much when the companies expertise is flooring. Also, Don’t let them sell you that their workers work for Floors for Living. Their workers work for themselves and they contract those workers out for their jobs.

Shawn Bates at the Pearland -West store did an amazing job at educating us on what would work on the floors in our kitchen remodel. On our first visit to the store, he offered advice on what we needed to choose first before we picked out our floors. After going through the process, we were able to successfully choose our flooring. Shawn was a great help in this process. The installers were professional and we are very pleased with how our floors turned out.

The manager was rude & very unprofessional toward my elderly father. They didn’t show up to install the carpet. Then brought carpet that we didn’t order. Will not return phone calls. Then he demanded that we put carpet in that we did not order. He told my dad that if he wanted carpet we had to take carpet that we did not order. Then refused to give us the corporate office. I have never dealt with anyone so rude and unprofessional!

We decided to go with Floors for Living based upon a referral from a friend. We loved their new ceramic wood tile floors and decided to call and get a quote. Our new wood flooring was installed March of 2019, a year and a half ago. I am very pleased with the look and wear of the floor. The installation was completed in two days and the installers did not leave a big mess. If the below incident did not happen I would have left five stars.Once the floor was installed, there was seven and a half boxes of flooring left out of the original fifty five. (The salesperson insisted that we needed to purchase 10% over the square footage that he measured.) The installers took off with the extra flooring even though my husband told them to leave it. We called the salesperson and after a month of going back and forth with him, we agreed to take the $308 offered although this was less than the flooring was worth.We were also supposed to get a years worth of floor cleaner, but never received.Update: The owner called me, came by my house and left a bottle of floor cleaner and offered me a credit of $308 on future flooring.

Great product and customer service at Floors for Living-Pearland. Michael Moody and his crew did a wonderful job for our master bedroom and closet floors. His team was knowledgeable, courteous and very professional. They were on time and on schedule with the project. In a time of pandemic, Michaels team put as at ease with temperature checks before entering our home and everyone had a mask on. Very satisfied with the work done.

Let me say two things about Mike Moody. The first (and probably the more important), you can tell Mike is a man just trying to provide a better life for his family and he recognizes that his Clients are also doing trying to do the same. He see that and definitely supports his Clients efforts in that area. This goes a long way with me when I am doing business.The second thing is that, while other companies seem to think they are only product delivery companies, Mike recognizes that your not just buy a product (the floors) but you are also buying a service and it definitely shows in all of his interactions. With that approach to sales, a good installation team backing him up, and good flooring products with great warranties it is definitely a winning combination.Please do yourself and your family a favor and give Mike a call. I dont care if you already have a go to guy. Give Mike a chance. It is definitely worth the time.

Mike Moody took great care of me from the time I set foot into the door. He assisted me in finding the look that my husband and I desired and made the process extremely easy. A couple weeks ago my wife and I had more hardwood flooring installed in our house. Mike Moody our Sales Associate was very helpful in assisting us. Mike had the task of trying to find a close match to the existing wood we had installed 3 years ago that had been discontinued. After about 4 to 5 days he was able to find a very close fit. It was just enough to complete our job with a extra box for future use. The crew came out and did an outstanding job in installing the floor. We are VERY pleased with the results. This is the second time we have used Floors for Living and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. From start to finish they provided outstanding customer service and have a good product. We had our floors installed several years ago. Recently I figured out I had a water leak and they came to the house and confirmed that. Since then I have yet to get a return phone call I’m getting it repaired which would be out of my pocket. Money in their pocket and they can’t seem to pick up the phone to call and give me a quote. Never again will I buy flooring from this company.

I have called this company on several occasions about coming out and finishing the job it is now on about 6 weeks out and they refuse to contact me about when they will come back to finish. I am completely regretful that I choose this company to make such a huge change to my home. I definitely would not recommend their services to anyone, save your patience for a company that respects you.

After extensive research and visiting multiple floor companies and getting samples and quotes throughout Houston, we decided to go with Floors for Living - Pearland West for three reasons: 1) Laura, our sales rep, ALWAYS followed up with us through every step of the process 2) the pricing was the most competitive, and 3) they answered all of our questions and the product we picked was top quality. They were able to schedule the installation in a timely fashion and we were continually updated by the installers. I want to reiterate that Laura was responsive throughout the ENTIRE process 1) The sales process 2) the scheduling process 3) Installation process 4) Follow-up on quality. In this day and age of problematic customer focus, I was thoroughly impressed with her attention to detail and follow-through. The installers did a great job, we picked a high variance product with a pattern (porcelain tile that looks like wood). They were on time and actually had the house done in two days due to size of the crew. Every step of the process was efficient. I rarely post reviews and would not put my name to something I didnt feel strongly about, but it is important to recognize when the process is cost-effective, timely, and quality work is done.

We had porcelain tile installed in four rooms including closets and master bath. My wife and I are pleased with the whole experience from purchase to installation.Store Manger Shawn Bates was both friendly and professional he answered all our questions and explained in a clear manner everything we needed to know about the different types of tile material their costs and especially there unique installation process that gives our floors a nice uniform look.The installers were very nice and put a good plan in place that caused the least disruption For us and our pets. While moving furniture and walking through our home they were both careful and respectful and did a great job of cleaning up at the end.

We recently had vinyl plank flooring installed throughout the first floor of our house. I’m not happy the service, at all. The caulking was horrible, dirty prints on the baseboards, cracked my shower tile, took almost 2 full weeks past the completion date I was given (all because of their poor planning and measuring), I had to call daily for status updates or I wouldn’t get any updates. I expected a rough 3 days, but not a couple weeks. More than once there was a no call no show and worst of all the customer service. Laura only gave me “I don’t know” or “I can’t do anything about it” answers. When I got in contact with upper management, they attempted to help, but let me down twice on promised completion dates. All while my kitchen was a mess for 2 weeks (mind you, I cook every single night and we work full time with a 7 year old, 2 year old and a dog). It took me a few weeks to place my review, because I hate giving negative reviews!!! I was already so upset and just didn’t want to waste energy on it, but after being unhappy with a $10,000 purchase, I felt it needed to be done. I’d rather give positive reviews, because not enough people acknowledge the good. I wouldn’t recommend this company.

I had Water Resistant Wood Laminate floors installed yesterday, in my dining and kitchen area. First time I have had professionals to help with a remodel, (as I am a DIY kind of person.) The staff from Ryan Douglas in the Showroom to the installers that were in my home, made this first time experience a great one. If you need flooring of any type go by and see Ryan, his knowledge of the products and his professionalism is definitely a big step above what you expect. I cant wait to start the next project.

I gave my new old house a face lift with new laminate, granite, and tile. Ryan was patient and knowledgeable and helped with everything. It all looks beautiful and without any undue trauma! I would definitely refer a friend.

Ask for Neil Westervelt!I have been wanting a new floor in my house for YEARS! Needless to say since I waited this long, I was not in a hurry. I searched for months and Neil Westervelt was not only patient with me browsing not matter how many times I visited the store! He was also knowledgeable to help me make a decision that was right for my home. He considered everything from what I wanted, to what was the best option with the fact that I have 2 dogs. Unbelievably, there is a wood laminate that is water resistant! (I took this as puppy resistant, too)! Neil was kind enough to take me to another store that had a sample. Now that the Pearland location moved to a much larger showroom, they had so many samples right there! I am so please to have a beautiful floor that fits my LIVING! They even give you free floor cleaner for the next 10 years! Neil truly helps and cares about the customer!The installation was flawless!
