One of the best Guitar Center stores I’ve visited. This place has everything. Guitars, drums, keyboards galore. Plus, all the sound equipment one might need to blow the roof off the place. Customer service is top notch as well. Go check ‘em out!

I went here on a Sunday 2 hours before closing. The only reason why I gave them a 3-star was because I waited, literally standing by the check-out counter for someone to help me. There were three employees, all helping one customer. So, I did not want to be rude and thought I wait since they saw me there. After waiting for a while, I decided to ask if someone could please help me. My thing is, one of them could have asked if I needed help. I dont ever complain about stuff like this, but giving them this review would help them with their customer service. It does not hurt to let customers know that someone will be with them after assisting other customers.Anyway, I went here to buy a wireless microphone for my girls on sale on their website. I left with a Gemini Party Caster, which comes with two wireless microphones. Overall great system. Using it for family karaoke and worship.

Wide selections and incredibly helpful staff. My son spent 2 1/2 hours trying out different guitars before deciding on a Les Paul. We will be back.

I purchased a concert ukulele for myself 5 days ago and wanted to upgrade to a tenor ukulele for personal preferences. The personnel in the strings department was very helpful. Tim the store manager was very courteous and understanding. Excellent service. Highly recommended.

Very very helpful, went to maintenance area to restore a vintage guitar, person who helped were very knowledgeable with a friendly demeanor. Than went to the ukulele section and met another helpful and friendly person who provided all my wifes answers she wanted to know about ukuleles. Guitar center is like a candy store with things I like, I enjoy going there.

Im so glad this place opened in Hawaii. Ive been there four or five times and found every person who works there to be enthusiastic, friendly and a joy to deal with.

Very Nice store with all your instrument and music needs. I needed ukulele strings, they had what I needed and I even brought my ukulele Inside to see what was suitable for it. The staff were real friendly and were all willing to help. They have this acoustic room which was truly amazing.

My brother loves his instruments. He plays slack key guitar, slide guitar, and a few other instruments. He just graduated school with top honors and as a present his aunty said buy whatever you like. So my brother thought about it and came to the conclusion that he would love a new amp. He stopped by, browsed around, spoke to some associates and found what he wanted and left. Never had a bad experience with these folks. Highly recommended.

I hate Guitar Center... Every time I go Im constantly debating what bill Im ok with not paying or how much available credit I have left on my cards so I can get some new shiny toy I dont in any way need but absolutely must have... I went in for a pack of guitar strings and somehow spent an hour in the drum section deciding on what double bass pedal was a better choice and I dont even own drums... the section of stuff is too good and the employees are always super helpful which makes it even harder not to buy everything the store... Damn you Guitar Center...

This is one of my favorite places. I live nearby so I visit here frequently enough the workers know me by name.

The staff here are extremely helpful and friendly. An associate named Matt the Cat helped us in the acoustic guitar, and even made time to teach my 6 year old daughter how to play a little bit of ukulele. Im impressed at how the staff are. Shows they have good management as well.

I recently bought a guitar from this location and Mr. Cedric from Repairs tuned it for me and made it sound super awesome! He told me to come back in 2 or 3 weeks so he could check on it again. He made the guitar sound even better than it did before! He oiled the neck and and made the strings perfect. He was really cool and extremely helpful. Very good customer service and a very nice guy.

5/10/19 - Picked this baby up at the grand opening of Hawaiis first and ONLY GC! Customer service was excellent! Celine (I hope thats your name!) in the acoustic room was extremely helpful, and was willing to pull down any guitar, even from the top rack where this Breedlove was sitting. I sat and played 4-5 different guitars, even a couple $4k+ Taylors that are way out of my price range! I finally chose this Breedlove Exotic Concerto and am so glad I did!5/16/19 - Flew in for a meeting today, and had to stop back in for a few extra sets of strings, was introduced to the GC String Club. Great deal if you change strings regularly! STILL my favorite store in Hawaii!

My sons electric guitar was left to get new strings and Ceddy did an amazing job. He not only put the best strings on it but he also replaced some missing pieces, fixed the bridge and polished it up brand new. He went above and beyond for my son and we are very pleased with his attention to detail.

Facility was organized and inviting.Customer service was great. Was greeted upon entering and assisted when my son and I had questions about the beat machines and synthesizer equipment. They were quick at checkout and overall the team there provided a great shopping experience.

Guitar Center was out of stock on quite a few items that I wanted to purchase so that is the reason I gave 4 🌟s rather than 5. The customer service was fabulous. A young man helped me and was very helpful and spent a lot of time with me helping me get what I wanted.

The workers there are so chill and attentive. They give honest opinions about the instruments and if they dont know something they refer you to someone who does with no problem. Bought my first electric from here. Their selection is huge and they have all the equipment I needed to get started. 👍👍👍

The service is really slow and they seemed understaffed. There was one customer in from tor me that returned a guitar that took about about 45 minutes. I had to rush because I had to leave for an appointment. I do like that they have have a guitar repair shop (I dropped off a guitar to get set up) and a place to take lessons. I can wonder around there looking at things. I was surprised that they cannot just request an item to be shipped to their location that is on their website and do not have control of their local stock. I am glad they opened a location here.

My 3 year anniversary is coming up soon, and my wife and I had the idea that we would get separate instruments to learn and play. I bought a $40 guitar from Amazon. A few days later, I found a review video for it, and lets just say Ive never canceled an order so fast in my life. Then I found Guitar Center. Im a complete novice when it comes to instruments, but I called and spoke with a manager, Tim. I was still looking at some cheap stuff on there website, and I asked him about it. You know what he told me? If it were my friend, I wouldnt recommend it to them. So we talked a bit, I got some good advice, and went ahead and visited the store. I walk in, and its BEAUTIFUL! I follow the arrows on the floor (COVID) and when I pass the front, one of the two sales floor agents asked me if I needed anything. I explained the situation to a young lady named Vanessa, and after she found the item Tim and I were talking about, asked me if I wanted to look at it, because things break sometimes, it happens. I said sure as long as its not a bother, and she proceeded to take EVERY item out and make sure everything worked perfect.In short, I was floored. All of you were fantastic, and I thank you both for all of the help that I got, it was invaluable. You guys deserve the five stars.

I was not able to purchase my items because they dont take cash after a certain time and that was weird. I felt judged by some of the men that work there. they were not to friendly on top of it all. it was not a good experience overall for me.

I love going to Guitar Center! There are is a huge selection of instruments, and instrument accessories. Other than that, there are mixers, microphones, speakers, and pretty much anything you would need for a party. The staff here are very nice, and sometimes you will see them jamming out by themselves, or with customers. Nothing but good vibes here!

It would be nice if their used gear inventory was added to the main site. For some reason, not even entering the zip code on the page sends you to their virtual store. It would be a five star experience if they get the help from corporate and fix that. I mean, they opened more than a year ago, it should have been fixed already.Update: since this review, they have some inventory online. I went the other days personally, got home and saw some equipment Im interested in on sale. I know the equipment is in stock because I literally just saw it. I tried ordering online for curb pick up and it said 3-5 shipping. Again, if they had their inventory online it would be a 5 star experience.

I came in for a checkup, due to my misunderstanding of my pickup not working 😅Got to meet with Cedric, the repair specialist, and he helped alot!! Super nice and helpful, gave great suggestions and tips for me - he was clearly well-versed in his work. The rest of the staff were nice and informative about the stores COVID policies (limited people inside the store, 6 feet distancing, masks, etc). Great place!!!

This guitar center was very clean, nicely staffed, and personnel were very friendly and knowledgeable. The whole store looked like a very very nice showroom floor, best looking guitar center Ive been to. Was there to check out guitars, and they had a very nice selection, it also looked like they had a very nice selection of drums and basses too, quite nicely stocked. Would highly recommend coming here to visit, even if not buying. ! :)

Take guitar lesson at guitar center air condition lots of people lots of friends. Lots of instrument some are able to play with. Very cozy, lots of helper. Lots of space lots music sound. From rock to blues to jamming on your instrument what ever you have with you lots of parking. No bus stop third floor building. Lots of restaurant. Have restroom. A mall from FedEx to cinema and anything from Ross clothing store to mobile department.

Really helpful staff. They will take the time to answer your questions and help you with your shopping.

The folks here at Guitar Center are absolutely AMAZING!!! Guitar Center is an absolute blessing for those who are into anything musical, either a musician or DJ, etc.. I am very pleased with the incredible customer service I receive here, as well as the huge selection of gear to choose from. My sales representative was Kenny, and hes been friendly and helpful since the first day I visited during the grand opening weekend! Kenny went above and beyond to explain the benefits of the year I purchased, and was such a pleasure to deal with. I am a customer for life!!!

Just had the best experience buying from the Pearl City store. I spoke with a gentleman named Tim who was very well spoken and extremely helpful. With all the Covid-19 red tape surrounding retail, I expected the process to be quite a hassle, but Tim went above and beyond to get me what I needed, and I look forward to purchasing many more instruments from this store going forward. 10 out of 5 stars.

Poor customer service... instead of trying to help, told to speak to manufacturer on missing item in box. They apparently don’t want to help or stand by a product that they sell, even though I paid extra for warranty.Tried to buy a ukulele and they tried to sell it without the case that was supposed to come with it. When I asked about the case, they couldn’t find it. Will take my money elsewhere from now on.0-2 on purchases at this store. Not a good first impression.

If you need musical equipment or instruments there is no better place on the island. Take my advice and go see Big Jay. He is the man. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, very helpful, and just plain fun to be around.

Easily the best music center for all music/instruments everything. Friendly staff, they encourage you to use their instruments, test them out for yourself. They have their own acoustic & percussion rooms, offer private lessons. Incredible selection of guitars & keyboards. Theres something for everyone here.

This place Rocks! Literally. Its a giant toy store for musicians and the like. You can pretty much play anything off the shelf from guitars to drums and dj equipment. Its very clean and organized. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They enjoy their jobs and it shows. Will definitely come back when I feel the need to bang on the drums again.

Though it pains me to admit, given how hard our local music stores have worked to stay alive, the experience of visiting this mainland franchise was impressive. I was surprised at how large the store was, and yet packed to the gills with equipment and instruments. And theres a lot here for media makers like podcasters, too. The icing on the cake was the classroom for guitar and bass classes, something my wife might just try. Pearl Highlands is one of my least favorite shopping centers, but Guitar Center is definitely a highlight.

I had to return 2 basses from MTD I got shipped here, and and the associate was awesome. On the third attempt, I finally made it out of there with one that works.

Well I was being helped by one individual who really couldnt tell me much about the product I was going to buy. So he told me to wait while he gets someone with a little more expertise. So I did. Didnt expect to wait for 30-45 minutes. Walked out and went to another music store and made a large purchase there instead. Oh well, it happens...

Pt.2Inside the case came a picture of my guitar that had been taken at the shop seeming like it had been getting looked at as you guys know Guitar Center checks all their guitars before they are shipped out and have a checklist that must be overlooked before it can be shipped out. That I thought was really cool kind of like seeing a picture of your baby at the nursery hahaha. Anyways contrary to all the horrid stories and nightmares and falsifications about Guitar Center I would definitely comeback to shop at a Guitar Center. The experience I had online was nothing like none of the horrible stories that I hear about Guitar Center all the times. So in the end don’t listen to what other people say all the time because they may have had a bad experience but you may have a great one you know. Sometimes things happen in life and sometimes people get a bad experience based on their own faults or something Guitar Center themselves are not able to change. At least I can say the experience I had here was a great experience and it felt like what it should feel like if you are spending a lot of money. Hopefully this will be a good outlook and a start of a new journey for me thankyou to the team and outstanding shipping staff at Guitar Center. I would also like to thank the in-house team in Pearl City for the help of a young man who helped me learn how to turn my standby button off on my brand new Marshall amp contrary of me thinking the amp I had gotten had been broken *facepalm... So far the customer service is great. I didnt get to buy anything yet as I just browsed. Definitely a place for any musician or aspiring musician to come and sample out the new and even used equipment. Id say for once, I got to play on the drums and not have to worry about some salesperson telling me to be quite unlike the other local music stores on Oahu (ahem).Ill be returning to buy some sticks and a new practice pad soon and eventually, my favorite electronic drum kit and hardware.

Well here it goes my Guitar Center Review. This review only is talking about the ordering from the online store and not my Guitar Center experience in the store.So to start this off I ordered a bunch of equipment from Guitar Center such as an amp, pedals, wires, connectors and a brand new guitar the whole Shabang! I was eyeing out this one guitar and had seen that the company Sweetwater has exact prices (for the guitar) as Guitar Center did contrary to belief Guitar Center had more items than Sweetwater did (regarding the items I needed). I live out of North America so I just wanted to order everything one time so I didn’t have to wait for things to come in from other places separately. So in the end I ended up choosing Guitar Center as my choice of place to buy my selected items and first Guitar. Just FYI I am a new guitar player and this was my first guitar and my first set of guitar equipment so I had not really known what to expect. So I had put my order through and was waiting for my order. A couple days past and I am looking at some reviews about guitar center and some of the reviews I see online were really nasty and gave Guitar Center a bad name. Like they are unreliable or things like they aren’t safe and sell broken guitars or just horrid stories from peoples past.... I read something from numerous things like how people rather go to Sweetwater now do to the horrid stories of their past that had happened between them and Guitar Center so you could say I was slightly concerned with the order I had spent so much money on /: Anyways the day comes in where I am supposed to receive my items and I am really concerned nothing will come in ): thinking the reviews were right.... then late in the afternoon I see three big boxes outside my house! I come to I get excited and what do you know they are my boxes from guitar center (: I open up everything and everything came neatly packed and even though it had to go through shipping it looks as if everything was brand new. Guitar Center did a great job as to packaging all my items and making sure nothing came in damaged(pedals). Guitar center used lots of bubble rap had styrofoam inserts on each corner of my amplifier and used a grey padding (kind of like memory foam so nothing would get damaged in the shipping process) to hold my guitar one on the top and one on the bottom which was placed in another box. So it was the box with my guitar in it with foam on the outside and a another box to hold that in it was really caring of them. (kind of like memory foam so nothing would get damaged in the shipping process). Each box came with an invoice of all the items that were in the box so in hindsight you know they made sure that all your items were in the box before it had been shipped. Everything worked great! and this was a really great experience for my first time I just want to thank the team at Guitar Center for making such an impactful great experience for me. Also before I made my order they verified with my bank to make sure that it was me who had been purchasing the said items Incase of a fraudulent case which was simple easy and fast (was a 3 minute phone call). Now looking into the condition of the guitar I had gotten the guitar was mint had no scratches and maybe a minor tick or tiny little Knick. When you buy new purses or bags at the store they always have a little Knick in the seems or something minor like that it was no big deal the guitar felt like it had been wiped down with some kind of oil it had a nice sort of film all over the guitar it felt like they waxed it or something haha. In lei-mans terms it felt brand new like how something bought brand new should feel. the Knick wasn’t like a scratch it was the tiniest small tack that really is unnoticeable. The fretboards looked clean and didn’t have scratch marks on it and the case looks really nice. Inside the case came some bolts and screws, the pick guard, and it also came with warranty and stuff like that. The certain guitar I bought was from the slash line so it had come with some slashpicks.pt 1 go to pt2

Strings were cheap and hours were good. Customer service could improve. I called to ask if the had ukulele strings and if they could help change them. They said yes but didnt tell me only one person could and the hours he worked. By the time I got there he was gone. Needless to say my friend helped me change them for free instead of paying $20 and having to go back.

If you have been to a Guitar Center on the mainland recently, youve probably noticed the decline in cleanliness and customer service. The store is clean and corners arent piled with junk used gear or unfinished displays. The staff asks if you need demo sticks, cables to plug in, and doesnt bug you after you saying, no thanks just looking. Its nice to have a major supply line available, lets hope the quality stays.

So they are only open till 7pm, they don’t let anyone new in after 6:30. I’ve been in line for an hour because this store has no restrictions on a time limit you can spend inside their store. This is absolutely ridiculous, why should I wait in line for over 30 minutes just to be turned away cause they have no policy restrictions......

James is the man to go to for all things Bass related, he walked up to me while I was browsing and sold me an Ampeg bass amp and some VicFirth noise cancelling headphones. His knowledge and customer service far surpassed my expectations and I would go to this location again to buy from James. Thanks man!
