The Eye Place in Peabody is absolutely incredible! Shelle is always there to greet you with the biggest smile as soon as you walk in. Ive been coming here for quite some years now and have never had even one complaint. They treat you like you are family and always want you leaving their Place happier than when you came in. Not to mention that they went the extra mile to make sure I was accommodated when I was in need of help the time my glasses broke unexpectedly on me. I woke up this morning to broken glasses! I’m dog sitting for my Mom and her 10 month old Cocker Spaniel ate my glasses! I called The Eye Place and was in a new pair of glasses in under a half an hour! I was treated with professionalism and courtesy! We laughed and I made an appointment for an eye exam! I found a new eye doctor! I was impressed with the array of different frames in the shop even though I am a creature of habit and have been wearing the same frames for over 10+ years! I can only say how posititive my experience was at The Eye Place. Anybody who meets Shellee will immediately feel welcome and comfortable. Most likely you will be laughing about something very quickly. My intention when I went was to get an eye exam but I ended up getting new glasses as well because not only were my old glasses from a place in Wakefield the totally wrong prescription, Shellee was able to find a frame which I really liked and at the end of the day I have new glasses, which I love, that are the correct prescription and the cost was one third of what I had paid from that other shop in Wakefield which shall remain nameless. I first came to the Eye Place with my glasses that were messed up and Shellie fixed them even though I hadn’t purchased them there. The Optician, Ms. Shelley, was kind and thorough. After taking up a ton of her time, my gas benefit card was declined. She didn’t change. As a matter of fact, she was more understanding and offered to wait until I could get the situation resolved with my job. I was on vacation halfway between New Jersey and Acadia National Park in Maine. My 2 week old glasses broke. One of the temples snapped off the frame front. I thought I just needed a screw and an eyeglass repair kit. After closer review the new frames have some type of clicking mechanism, and there was no way I can see it to snap back into place. I called The Eye Place and they told me to come in. Mrs. Rubin (optician) was super diligent looking into fixing them, to the point I was getting uncomfortable! She even called the manufacturer because this new clicking thing was fairly new. Turns out that once the temple comes off on this brand, thats it, you need a new frame. YIKES! However Mrs. Rubin was able to use some type of shrink tape to reattach them and get me through the trip. She was a mad scientist in her lab once the manufacturer told her that the whole frame needed to be replaced. Bonus, she did not even charge me for her time. Very thankful and highly recommend.

My glasses frames were so bent from having been sat on, that I thought I would have to get new ones. A friend recommended The Eye Place. Shellee fixed the problem in five minutes. No new frames were necessary. I highly recommend the Eye Place.

OMG! I had a list of places of where to go to get my prescription filled for my eyeglasses but my judgement is horrible and let’s face it salespeople want to get you in and it the most expensive way they can so they’ll tell you the 800$ goggles look great! I had tried to change my broken eyeglass frame with an exact replacement received under warranty after the original had broke. I was concerned about going to The Eye Place, as I had messed them up and was not a previous customer of Shellee. She looked at all the pieces I had laid out in front of her, simply took them to her work space and within 15 minutes, I walked out with my repaired eyeglasses.
