Great group of friendly professionals

Over 10 years ago we brought our 97 Accord to a local dealer for an oil service in Salem. The service department said they checked the vehicle and found some issues. They said the car needed a long list of repairs totaling over $900. They said this included safety problems and the axle could break.We were referred to John Spofford for a second opinion by a family member. John checked all the items on their repair list and he found there were no issues at all with our car. He mentioned at worst there was some marginal rust on a few parts which posed no risk.Needless to say it was our last trip to that dealer. Weve been taking our vehicles to Spofford Automotive ever since. Whether it is a major issue or a minor repair, I was always feel were getting honest and quality service from John and his team. If you want a mechanic you can trust, take your vehicle to John.

I aint got no time for no FOOLS when it comes to my car so someone told me about this guy John. Everybody else I went to was nasty to me and didnt hear no ping in my engine but this guy heard it right away! He was nice to me and FAIR and told me what was wrong right off.
