Awesome meat market. They have great regular prices and amazing specials. Huge variety of meats and fish, mostly Latino speciality foods in dry stock and freezers, good selection of fresh produce. The employees are extremely helpful and are all bi lingual. Definitely worth the trip to downtown Pawtucket

My family have been going here for years. And then the owner changed. I bought a good amount of food. I split the payment with my mom who paid in cash and I paid the rest on the card. Of course humans make mistakes and the cashier counted the cash wrong. I explained to the cashier about it and she was nice, called the manager. The manager was completely confused on what a split payment was and had to check the cameras just in case we were stealing. Spent 20 mins hearing the passive aggressiveness of the employees saying it’s “just $20 why are they still here”. And hearing the cashier that attended us say “ can you count your money to make sure I counted right” to the next customer. I never in my life have ever been treated this way. I just wanted to be out of there. I talked to another employee who heard my complaint. And the employees said “how are we giving attitude!”. Why would I want to stay at a place with employees who want to verbally argue with a customer, have my mom feel inferior & then say to just leave. I’m glad I went with my mom cause I would hate to even think how they would treat my mom who doesn’t speak good English. This place was so much better with the previous owner and employees who actually were nice to the customers. I’m going to miss the employees working at the deli they were kind, but I will pass on the cashiers with no manners and the manager who just let it happen.

I used to love this place. I’ve had two bad experiences. Paid for 40 lbs of chicken hearts (to make dog treats) only got 30 pounds. Yesterday, I bought chicken hearts and when dehydrating, they smelled like a dead body. Worst thing I’ve ever smelled. Still trying to get rid of the stench. Never again will I shop there.

I live in Pawtucket and often have have to travel to the one in Providence because of the bad smell and lack of inventory. However, I visited yesterday and saw that the sanitation had been improved but, the customer service need to be worked on

Workers are always pleasant, food is fresh. Been going there for years. I havent been there during the Covid but miss the marinated meats & ckn. Cant get it as good as they can

I was there today and i felt sorry for what i saw. The shelves that are usually full with different types of food were half empty. No meat, no fish and the prices have also skyrocketed!

My boyfriend bought 4 pounds of ground beef from here and when I went to portion it, the smell that came out of the bag was rancid. The best way I could describe it is cat urine mixed with rotten fish. It was disgusting. I had to wash my hands 3 times to get the smell out. A waste of our money, we had to throw the whole thing away. Needless to say, I’m never letting him bring home meat from there again!

I loved going there but a month ago I decided to finally go after the “incident” with the owner, it was early morning went to the beef section. I took my number and waited the person working there that morning was rushing with old lady telling her she needed to hurry and decide because there was more people waiting. That was rude and he did the more than once. I got so annoyed that I left and I heard him saying” she wants to be help but she on the phone, now she mad so she’s leaving” I just left and went to the International meat market where it’s actually clean and don’t smell bad and probably won’t see the mice running around the refrigerators.I will never return there.

I have been shopping here for a while and have always thought that their selection of meat to be great . They are more than welcome to cut your order to your desire. They seem to be very accommodating and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that you get what you what. They also have a variety of produce and other food stuffs.

Good quality meat for reasonable prices. I have purchased rib eye and pork loin from them so far and have been satisfied. If you buy in bulk they sometimes offer specials. The shop smells like it could use a a good bleaching though

This store has fresh meat (not frozen) and the prices are competitive. I bought beef and they offered me to buy 10lbs for a discounted per lb price which was a good deal.The store is clean.

Great selection of meats and friendly staff. They have combo for less if you buy more like 50$ for variety of beef, pork, chicken, turkey or 10lbs of pork chop for much less. They also have goat meat that hard to be found in supermarkets.

Went in to purchase 1.5 lbs of ground beef.The sign said $3.29 per pound. I asked for the $3.29 per pound ground beef. The server placed the ground meat in a bag priced it and handed it to me. It seemed light for 1.5 lbs. after reviewing the tag in the package I noticed that is was light based on my request. But the server had also charged me $4.49 per lb. I went back to the counter and interrupted the servers conversation to discuss the error. This guy grabbed the package made up another package of 1.5 lbs and this time charged me$3.29 per pound. At the register the package was scanned at $2.99 per lb. WHATS HAPPENING HERE ?

It gets pretty crowded. they have some things at times and other things at other times lol. all in all its a pretty OK place to go to get your meats and quick sides.

Friendly helpful people. Super fresh meats. Cooked foods are delicious.

I dread going there because all of the workers stand around talking to each other and looking at each other instead of servicing customers. It is also frustrating because a lot the workers do not speak good English. I have more to say but what difference does it make.

The quality of food has been improving. The hand baskets are a little grody though, but the meat is fresh.

Now it is my favorite grocery shop. I found everything I need and more. Fair price, huge selection of meat.

Bought $150 worth of meat two weeks ago..got home and packaged it all up and vacuum sealed it. Pulled out hamburgers the other day..all was good until I started cooking them..I started to smell something almost like cat urine...considering I have a cat I started to look around even smelt my apron..smell would only hit me when I was standing over the grill. A few minutes later after the burgers were half way cooked and I was ready to flip I smelt the patty..THAT WAS THE SMELL..OMG I threw it away I couldnt feed that to my kids. Three days later I pulled out bone in pork chops..same thing happened not a urine smell but they smelt bad...I went into my deep freezer and threw all the meat I bought away..not taking the risk. WILL NOT BE GOING THERE AGAIN!! EVER!!!

Employees there are making this place very unpleasant to shop. At the register, the cashier asked me of my way of paying. I said credit card and asked for my ID,then I executed my self. Obviously the name on the card was different from mine since it was husband credit card.She wanted my husband to be there right away to sign which couldnt happen, I was shopping without him. She asked me to wait in order to call her manager. Once the manager got at the register,she explained the situation in spanish. Then, the manager started to scream at me How do I know that this card belongs to your husband, we dont do that here making look like I was about to commit a fraud and he caught me.He assembled all my merchandises and ask me to leave. I felt so frustrated and humiliated.

Love getting my meats and chicken breasts there. I usually get the 10 lb specials,and it lasts me a couple months. The chicken breasts are a lot bigger than what you find at other markets like Stop & Shop.

Purchased portahouse steack . For the first time @ Armandos excellent & friendly butcher ... Made the Steack on a cast iron pan amazingly tender an flavorful.. my new old school butcher shop .. great quality... stop & shop Shaw’s Walmart even Whole Foods have nothing on this guys as far as meats is concerned. I saw cuts of meats that you won’t find at this other places.. also extremely clean and impossible to beat thei price .. when it comes to fresh they have the whole steer in the back room hanging and that your beef .. 👍👍

The Conch meat is too expensive, its $48 in Boston, they sell it $65 at Armando and the box is not full as the one in Boston. But I needed in urgent, that was the only place in pawtucket I could find it(so that was a life saver) .

One thing many of you dont know is that they bleach all of their chicken so it reduces the smell and color of rotting meat. Ever wondered why it smells so bad?

How could anyone eat anything from a place that smells like that! Especially meat! All the produce was rotten.. horrible selection.. prices very high for old food...wouldnt be surprised if most everything in there was expired...took a shower after leaving there and I didnt even touch anything.
