From the start, Gavin was extremely helpful. I came to him, wanting to build a computer, though I did not even had any remote idea of how to build one, or the parts I needed to buy. Immediately, he was keen on my needs, searching for the parts I needed as if he was building the computer for himself. He went above and beyond, searching throughout the entire store for the parts I needed.Throughout our whole interaction, he carried himself in a highly professional manner. It must be mentioned, that I have never had such a great customer experience in any other retail stores. The MAIN REASON why I will recommend MicroCenter to all of my friends and relatives. is because of Gavins OUTSTANDING Customer Service. He gets a 20 out of 10 in Service, Knowledgeability, and Attention to Detail.That evening, he left me feeling so empowered and satisfied with my products, that I walked out of the store with a smile from ear to ear. I visited three different Best Buy stores before I headed to MicroCenter. NONE of the Best Buys reps showed me the level of knowledge and care that Gavin displayed that day. I wish I would have just headed to Micro Center earlier that day.The reason I didnt was because a couple of years ago, I had a series of unpleasant experiences at the store, one after another. Back then, in every single visit I made, I felt like I couldnt get help from anyone. Whenever I asked for something or had a question, the reps looked for a way to divert the responsibility to someone else.I am very pleased that Micro Center has done a complete change; it is like day and night. As of yesterday, they have become my favorite electronics store. I just had a very positive resolution of an issue at MicroCenter in Paterson, and a big shout out to the Service Manager, Anthony Wilson for listening, and working out a solution that satisfied me.   I had purchased a Dell refurbish back in July (2021) for my parents, and the Hard drive went bad 3 short months later, just out of warranty.  Not something Id have expected.  But Anthony stepped up and issued me a refund via store credit, which absolutely worked for me.  I will continue using MicroCenter for my computer needs because of him!

Great selection. First place I go for many computer things and to get some hands on action with the actual computers. Great way to get lots of products without waiting or the shipping costs, as well. But taking the old razer laptops off display after getting the new ones in stock, not saying you have razer laptops in stock anywhere, and refusing to put them out because then we cant sell them as new is bad business. If I didnt ask, I wouldnt even know you had them. And if I try them in store, Im more likely to buy them IN STORE instead of buying them on Amazon or something. First time Ive experienced such a bizarre issue at a fine establishment as this.

I love this place, rather than ordering from Amazon or Newegg I can go here buy my products in person and return them right back here if I encounter any issues. A lot of computer stuff, great variety, you can find almost anything for your computer diy projects. Service is excellent, return or exchange, no question asked.

They had something that was out of stock everywhere else, and the price was fine. Online ordering was super easy too. The checkout while curt was short and painless.

This is by far, one my favorite electronics store, and favorite location (between Yonkers & here). I could easily spend half a day in here without even realizing it. They pretty much have everything you could think of and more....like Best Buy on steroids. Now I just need more time and more money.

Weekdays parking is better than weekends, also less crowded inside the store, was a quick 5 minutes on line to pay, to get the items I wanted was faster, got mobo & chip and off to pay. Weekday stock was better than I came on the weekend. Too bad there is only 1 microcenter in NJ, should put one in central NJ. There is some tax break areas in central NJ. There are 3 in NY, brooklyn, queens,, and long Island.

You might be able to grab a GPU here if you get here early on weekends

Will definitely return to build my nieces computer.Pro: The store has everything you could need and the people are friendly.Con: The employees are not well trained. They will see you parts that dont fit well because they dont know better. As well as see you OEM windows keys and screw you from ever transferring you windows key to a different computer.Advice for everyone! Dont by just the windows key. Buy the retail version, the one with the flash drive.

Came in a couple days ago looking to build a gaming pc that I wanted to be a real powerhouse. Unfortunately, while I knew what each component did I really didnt know the difference between one or the other.This is where I met Jeff. Jeff was extremely helpful and patient. Spent a couple hours with me guiding me toward the build I wanted and needed and helped me avoid things that wouldnt benefit my uses. If your looking to build I 100% recommend looking for him.After we checked out the parts we went over to the service desk where they would build my pc. When we got there I met Anthony, the Service Manager, who reassured me that my pc would be great. They actually finished it that day which was great. Only made it back late the next day and met Anthony again who let me know that if there was any issue hed help me out and he handed me his card.Got home and booted it up and all was good until I realized one set of fans wasnt working. A little worried I took it back and Anthony gave it a look over and got it diagnosed and running in minutes. He then got a monitor attached just to make sure it was shut down safe.Pretty long review just to say Jeff and Anthony are great.

My wife and i found exactly what were looking for with great help and patience from the sales people. but this is the most wretched thing that really ruined our customer experience. as i entered into the mens bathroom i was unwelcomed by a smell we all know too well. it was bigger than what the average person could ever produce. how can such an establishment that thrives off of customer service forget to at least take a look of the status of their bathroom??!!

I love teching out on new gear and components. Most of the staff especially the ones at the custom build desk know their stuff and are very helpful. If your into building it yourself and have questions about specs and compatibility the place is great, plus they compete well with Newegg.

Super knowledgeable, the last of its kind, super easy return/exchange. Just bought configured a new system..I got lazy and had them build it .. Took Less then a day. Engineer/sales person made great recommendations... Even steering away from questionable expensive things thats would not have achieved goals so definitely earned my trust. Matched all prices from Amazon and a few others.. which want really an issue as costs were low enough anyway...

I started out shopping at Micro Center in Chicago when they first opened. I have bought so much stuff there from magazines to whole computers, monitors, hard drives, tablets, supplies, you name it. I have also taken stuff in for repair. They fixed a laptop under manufacturers warranty at n/c. I have also returned stuff and they are very understanding about that. All in all I have spent oodles of money there, for work and personal use. I have never gotten jacked around there. Enough said.

Im a nerd, this is the holy land. The Island of geek Xanadu. Even my wife and kid had a good time walking about and shopping.

Tomas from the Apple section was wonderful. He helped me pick out a MacBook Pro for my daughter. He took the time to explain the differences between that and the MacBook Air. Furthermore, he spoke to the manager to honor the price from the website from the previous day. These facts alone make for exceptional customer service. The icing on the cake was when the manager came over and thanked me for visiting the store and told me to enjoy my new MacBook Pro. For this level of customer service I would not hesitate to drive back to Micro Center for future business even if it is 1 hour each way. Totally worth it to feel I got an exceptional deal and was genuinely appreciated as a customer!

Micro Center is the go to place for me for anything IT related. Great products and if you dig in far enough you will find items at great prices. I usually go for open box and refurbished items. 3 of my old refurbished Lenovo SFF machines I paid $99 for are still running great after adding more RAM. Staff is helpful and if one does not have an answer for you they will pull someone else in to ask instead of the normal, I am not sure. Great place and so glad it is near to me but dangerous for my wallet.

This location has everything you need! I went in looking for a printer for graduate school in the printer I was originally looking at was too much for me but a very helpful worker helped me find the perfect printer that gives me the best amount of printing per cost. I definitely recommend going to this Micro Center for all of your needs!

The “help/repair center”, what ever they want to call themselves, is anything but. On two occasions, when sent by Apple to the micro center for assistance on an issue with my MacBook Pro, they were anything but helpful. On both occasions, with out touching my computer, they just wanted to charge me for unwarranted and unnecessary actions, just in the effort to not want to assist me. This is fine by me. Apple, however, should not waste customers time in sending them to such place, where the lack of wanting to assist customers is absolutely apparent....

Manager refused to price match a Apple Watch. It was a $10 diff haha.270 at Costco 280 here.I already bought couple of items and he wouldn’t price match the watch over $10 haha. I get it if it’s $50 or something, but yea that’s just poor service.Costco is a membership but almost every other store price matches them anyway. Best Buy, Walmart, Target etc. so they just behind here.

A place that tries to pull wool over your eyes when it comes to computer repairs. Takes advantage of people who are not technically literate like older folk.I brought my computer in for repair and they said a 101 different things that was wrong with it (such as a broken motherboard, infections, etc.) and quoted me $600. It turns out that the power button needed to be put back into place. They also recommended me a 7 foot wire that costs $15 dollars that I didnt need when I needed a SSD backup.For the technologically illiterate beware because they will not hesitate to upcharge you on repairs and products that are not needed.

Ive shopped here a few times and 90% of the time I find what I need. The sales folks here are knowledgeable and I can spend hours picking their brains, and best of all they are willing to offer you the info. The staff is excellent and you can always find someone to help you, unlike *cough Bestbuy....

One star because I spent $2800 for my first build and was told that they will take care of me getting video card. Ones I said I want to build PC myself, the story changed, I was told to camp outside. It’s been over a month, and I was not able to get last component (video card). Also there are many people like me who have real jobs and can’t stay overnight and till 10 or 12 pm in line to buy product. Store shipment comes at night, so the first person who opens the store should tell people waiting outside at least how many units they have so that people don’t wait in line for hours to find the news. I will no longer shop at that store, for simple reason, lack organization.

This store was recommended to me for all my tech needs. Jason Gardner was the Knowledge Advisor who assisted me in finding my new lap top. He cared to listen and make recommendations based on what I needed/wanted. He took time to explain and compare products and services; that meant a lot to me because after not buying a new device in many years I didnt know where to start. Thanks Jason! Even though the store is getting busier this time of year, the staff made all possible to get the customers taken care of as safe and fast as possible.

Just great service. A gentlemen helped me with such patience. I know very little about computers yet I came with a list of things I needed it to do within a budget. This man walked me through all I needed and even explained the parts to assure I knew what I was asking. He listened and didn’t brush me and my ignorance off. I wish I remembered his name as I write this. Just great staff. Hell even the cashiers were cheerful and funny. It’s a drive to go there but they have a customer for life now !!

Good prices and environment. Some employees are very helpful and friendly, others are just okay. It depends on your luck.Ive been there three times and the first two they were very courteous and always checking to see if i had everything i needed.But last time, i was there to pick up an item i had reserved. It was a laptop from the open box section they have on their website. Once i was there i checked the laptop and one of the keys was broken so i asked if they had another one and the guy just shrugged his shoulders and said I dont know, man. Just check the website.I did check the website and showed him that they did, in fact, had another one. He just told me to reserve it and show him the order number once i was ready. It didnt feel great, but overall, youll be treated nicely.

Some kind soul told me about this place years ago and because there are so many Best Buys and Walmarts, etc screaming out advertisements, I promptly forgot about it. I mean, whats a Micro Center anyway, right?? Welp, after rediscovering it again when my daughter was looking to upgrade her computer system for a new job, I realize this place is kind of a best kept secret. Im also figuring that all those years I didnt buy from them, probably cost me thousands of over paying--Im not exaggerating. Here are the deetz: The salespeople are honest, fair and mostly seem to know what theyre talking about...Bryan the HP guy near the front on Sundays is My Guy! He literally seems to know EVERYTHING, but still kept us within budget (actually, under budget), without making it feel like we were being too cheap. Davon was polite, patient and quickly got us everything we needed. You might think selection would suffer with these bargain basement prices, but wrong again--I found stuff I didnt even know existed every time I visited. Now, I refuse to go anywhere else and was compelled to write this review. They always seem packed and the parking lot is tighter than a new pair of shoes, so Id recommend you find a spot nearer to Loews a little farther from the entrance. If you love all things tech, like to save money, and are in the area, I beg you, check them out. And thank me later.

Ready to harness off your credits-bitcoins(Fiat) off your wallet.How is it witnessing the sell person pull up the information on the computer screen with the description of their system displaying the spec. Information on an open box taped up without stating the open box product had no mouse or keyboard; claims label complete. (Deceptive). Sell person knew this as well as the Manager was aware dictating his workers to push sale on protection plan for 45.dollars above online price off 69.00 for two years.Plus its supposed to be touched screen and come to find its not.Wow. Never again. Time for a refund right away and to stay away.
