The owner Paige has the best cheese on LI and is the most professional, kindest business owner I’ve ever met! I have been to almost every winery on LI, but my husband and I have found some our favorite wines here at The Cheese Patch. Paige is always offering us samples of cheese and wine when we come in. Don’t skip this place!

Came here on a groupon ($24 for 2 people including 2 flights of wine and a cheese board). Place was small but nicely decorated. A bit dark where the tables are. The one person working, although very sweet, was working alone and at times seem a bit too busy. The wine and cheese though was delicious. Def a highly recommended place.

We always like to find a place that’s local that makes you feel special. Ordered a cheese platter for New Year’s Eve and spent about two hours there having a couple drinks because the atmosphere and service was amazing. As busy as they were knocking out orders for New Year’s Eve Paiute didn’t skip a beat getting to know us and providing amazing experience. Congrats on. 8 years

AMAZING, if I could give 100 stars I would! This place is a nice break from the loud bar scene but with a bar feel. Great selection of beers on tap; one to fit a variety of tastebuds. Top it off with a high cheese selection; this is a great place to start or end at. Jackie, our server, was wonderful -she was extremely attentive to us and we will be back again 😁

Wow!!! What a great experience! My son and I ordered a cheese flight. Ashley was extremely helpful and friendly! Ashley took the time to explain the cheeses and give samples! With her help we picked our four cheeses for the flight. The cheese board was delicious!! We even bought cheese to take home. We cant wait to go back. Would definitely recommend!!

The owner and the staff are kind, generous, and considerate. The assortment of cheese and drinks are unmatched. The facility is extremely clean, welcoming, and inviting. Came here this past Friday with my husband for a date night. Was excited to finally check out this place. The service was horrible. Although, the lady that worked there (short with bangs)was super sweet and nice (she brought out our wines).The guy that worked there that’s suppose to serve us our cheese and explain to us on how everything works at this place, failed miserably. He rushed through the explanation and never brought us our knife or crackers. I also asked for a separate glass of wine, didn’t bring that either. Pretty much we ate the cheese with our hands. There were two middle aged women who came after us, who felt super entitled and got everything they wanted at the drop of a dime. Mind you they were freaking rude.The rest of their party came super late, but still got all the attention and everything they wanted. (Heck yes they got their knives and crackers). After my husband and I saw that, we paid and left. We were super neglected. I NEVER WILL COME BACK AGAIN.

Came here last night with my lady and some friends.Let me start off by saying: Thank you Spencer. This kid was super knowledgeable, extremely friendly and was the only person working. He handled both the sit down crowd and the market. (I would recommend they have at least two people at any given time but I know its not always easy with a mom and pop spot.We had a wine flight each and a shared cheese plate and everything was delicious. I even bought a jar of the fig jam.Would absolutely come back.

Stopped in on a whim to let my mom try some cheese while i grabbed a glass of wine to celebrate. The shop is really cute and the toung lady behind the counter (stella) was super sweet and helpful. She answered all our questio s and laughed with us while my mom tried samples. Definitely will be coming back to visit soon.

After a nice 3 days in the woods the cheese patch was a perfect way to end it, the owner was a delight the place was cozy n quaint. I will definitely be back. The cheese and wine was amazing.

I really shouldnt be giving a review because we didnt eat here. We were walking by and saw they had an acoustic guitarist and singer. So, we went in and ordered a glass of wine and listened . Jason Dorsa was awesome. The service at the bar was excellent . I would definitely come back for the fondue.

The owner and staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. They go out out of their way to ensure you have a good time and love the cheese. Gave numerous samples when buying something to take home to make sure what we bought was something that would make us want to come back.

This is probably one of the best spots to visit on Main Street. The wine is great, but the cheese and food is out of this world. Really nice people too. More of a quiet and relaxed environment; really is a place to treasure.

The 2 stars are for potential only; our waitress was very nice, but we were not welcomed - the barmaid was looking bothered, we had to wait to be seated since there was no one to welcome us when we entered (even though the barmaid was outside smoking with a friend)...and when we were finally acknowledged, we were asked if we want cheese to take home...there was only 1 table with 4 people seated and I was surprised that the personnel would want to rather send customers home.The wine selection is good, but not great - maybe the cheese plates are the only thing I liked.

Spencer was very good at his job, suggested really good cheese and had a lot of knowledge of wine and cheese pairings.

Service was awful. A list of menu items is offered but there is only one small toaster oven to prepare the food. It took forever and we still didnt get everything we ordered. I do have to say the cheeses were delicious.

Walked into this establishment with my wife. They had 2 people behind the counter. We werent greeted or acknowledged in any way. We sat at the window counter for about 10 minutes before i got up to get my own menu and still nothing. We waited another 5 minutes before we got up and left. Never to return. We were looking for a nice place for some wine and cheese. This is not the place.

Had a wine and cheese pairing/tasting. Great price for the amount of food 4 wines and 4 types of cheese. Wine from local vinyards is a great idea. The cheese is amazing as well. A good mix of cheese and wine. Great atmosphere and nice music.

Went in with a Groupon and have already been back twice. Their cheese is delicious (of course) and they lay a really nice spread with it- simple crackers, fruit chutneys, and the like. Their selection is enormous! They have wine and beer as well, both with a decent selection, and there are tastings/pairings/flight for each. Prices are a little high, but not any higher than other cheese places. They have more meal type foods as well like pizzas and sandwiches, but I have not tried yet. The staff is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful little spot nested in the heart of Patchogue. Was gifted a Groupon for a cheese and wine tasting. I had made reservations, had to change them and the staff was courteous and understanding. The dining experience was great. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and provided us with something more than just dining out. Needless to say, we will be back and we are excited to venture into the rest of the menu.

NEVER go there!!!1. Dirty tables.2. Very slow service... it took them 40 minutes to bring few pieces of chees and 4 small glasses of wine!!!.3. No service after that...!!! No one come and ask if you need any thing else.4. Dark place with no music. If you stay at home and do nothing! Trust me you will feel better.Personally, I dont write a bad reviews, but I couldnt stop my self from this place. NEVER NEVER NEVER GO THERE!!!

It was my first time there. I went because I had the groupon thank God because if I had to pay $45 I really would have been angry. Service was horrid we waited around 15 min before we got something to drink. No one explained how things worked I guess they were too busy. I would not recomend this place at all. When they first opened it was hard to get a seat, now you can basically walk in,now I know why. If they expect to compete with all of restaurants they need to get it together.

If i could have given zero stars i would have loved to. I think they got the ratings this high by paying the customers Or having their friends write reviews.... so heres my honnest review....There was 2 ladys working and theres only 4 tables. we had the worst service i have ever had in my life. We ordered 2 cheese plates and a meat plate. When we orderd off the menue the waitress said just come up to the counter we dont have alot of the cheeses. it took way too long for our meat platter to arive and it was tiny. We were already there for an hour Ate it all and THEN the first cheese plate arrived the waitress never told us what cheese was on the plate so it was a guessing game. Finished that cheese plate and i personally brought up the empty platter and asked if we were ever going to get the rest of our cheese she said were working on it 15 min later our last cheese plate arived. I didnt know it took so long to cut a couple pieces of cheese. Nothing had to be cooked its just cheese. That being said. If you want to spend the extra time you would habe wasted sitting here. I would highly recommend going to brew cheese in northport.

I regret buying the groupon. I got there and they took the printout from groupon and told us to take a seat.. then ignored us for a good 30 minutes while service everyone around us... we left there rather disappointed with the lack of service and attention from the staff... I suggest going to Meetball down the block as the food and service was simply amazing

Visited the Cheese Patch on a Friday night with a few friends & purchased a groupon for 4. Unaware that reservations were required (not stated on Groupon), we ended up sitting by the front window which was an inconvenience but understandable considering how small the establishment is. The gentleman that helped get us situated and brought our wine & cheese platters was very nice however his shift was ending therefore another waitress was going to come by and explain the cheese & wine...well that never happened. She never came over to check on us or even explain what exactly we were eating/drinking. When the check came 20 minutes after requesting it, we were surprised to see that a $45 groupon for 4 would have actually cost us $90 if we did not use Groupon! $90 for a flight of 4 small wine samples and a tiny platter of cheese, are you kidding me!?! In the end we owed $10 in taxes which was a first for us as taxes are typically included in the Groupon. Safe to say my friends & I will NOT be returning to the Cheese Patch which is a shame cause the concept is a good idea. The waitress was just plain rude and the couple sitting next to us echoed the same complaints as they actually made a reservation but were seated at the bar!

Don’t buy the Groupon, and better yet, don’t even bother going in. I will never return. Me and 5 of our friends bought the Groupon. First off we were told we need to make a reservation which is understandable BUT the Groupon did not say we needed a reservation. When we told them that they said it was added later on. About ten minutes later people left from the bar and the bar was empty but because we did not have a reservation we could not sit there. It remained empty until we left over an hour later. The gentleman was nice and explained we would have to wait a few minutes since we didn’t have a reservation (again it was not on the Groupon). The gentleman brought out the wine and said the woman would bring out our cheese and explain it for the pairing. She brought it out and walked away. He again said she would be back to explain- no one ever came over to check up or even explained it. We basically guessed what kind of cheese we were eating. We wanted to order regular food and we never even had the chance so after we ended up going somewhere else to eat. We had two cheese platters - only one came with a knife. The other did not so we had to keep passing around the knife between 5 people or use our fingers to scoop cheese. This wouldn’t have been a huge deal if we had a table, but we were split into two different locations. Finally we asked for the check and waited a significant amount of time before she came back over and said she can’t give us our check until she redeems the other Groupon (right after she said that, another woman gave us the check —before it was redeemed). Once we got the check the tax was $11.75 which to our surprise was tax on the original price which would be around $90 not on the Groupon price- not to mention I’ve never been charged for tax when using a Groupon before.Overall this was the worst experience ever and we will never return. Also as we were leaving we saw another couple who were waiting an extremely long time. We ended up speaking to them and they had told us they had made a reservation and we’re still waiting an extremely long time, and would be leaving in 3 minutes if they were not acknowledged.I’m patient and fine with waiting if the place is busy, but they didn’t need to be rude (except for the gentleman who kept talking to us —but he had left before we were done), could have apologized for the poor service, and didn’t need to make us feel back for not knowing we “needed” a reservation. The service was terrible and really put a damper on an otherwise fun night out.
