I have a 1998 Mercedes E320 serviced at their shop that needed quite a few small repairs due to the age of the vehicle. They promptly picked up the car from my house ( it wasnt drive able at the time) and towed it to their shop at no additional charge. They fixed the axle, flushed the braking system, replaced some of the headlight and rear braking bulbs and a few other needed repairs. They then took pictures of the car before and after, which they upload on a big tv screen for the customer to see how and where their money was used. I was very impressed with their work and professionalism, and will be bringing my car there for repairs in the future.

They sent me a link that outlined all of the work and diagnostics that were done, which even included photos of the new parts in the car. I’m also happy there is a 2-year warranty. I would like to share my experience. My engine seized while turning onto the LIE, it was getting late and my phone was dead. I had been waiting 2 hours for AAA when i saw a tow truck pass, I flagged them down thinking it was for me. It was not for me but but the operator offered to see how far AAA was for me. It turns out AAA NEVER SENT ANYONE TO ME, it was then past midnight and i was starting my new job early in the morning. Julian not only towed my car but tried to fix it for me before hooking it up and taking it away. Thanks to Julian, I made it home safe, and my car made it to the repair shop. I don’t usually leave reviews online but felt compelled to do so after the quality of service and professionalism from MD! After being towed from Triple A far from my home, I was hesitant when they had a body shop nearby recommended, unsure of what I would get as it was not my usual place. But what I found was a professional and caring mechanic shop that made a stressful say SO much easier! I’d consider using them regularly, even coming from 50 miles west. Can be tough to find reliable shops, but they really are a knowledgeable and caring bunch! Thanks again for the help to all of the staff!

I want to start off by giving the biggest shout out to Julien. I hoped I spelled it correctly! Any who! I was stuck at the CVS and while I waited for my tow truck service. I was approached by some weird guy who would not leave. When Julien arrived he also tried to get the guy to leave, but the guy would not take the hint. As Julien fixed my car he ran into an issue of getting my rusty bolts off the tire. Julien used ingenuity and was able to change my tire and waited the guy out so I could leave safely.. Needless to say I was soo grateful that I got my tire changed and Julien assisted me with the creepy guy. MD Auto you got a GREAT WORKER! Now can we discuss getting my car fixed LOL :)

I have been a customer for 20 yrs. once you find a good reliable mechanic you stay with them. Too many others out there not doing the right thing.

Unfortunately I cannot write a good review of this companys towing services. On September 9, my 17 year old daughter needed her car towed from Islandia NY to Middle Island NY. From a house to a car repair shop. She filled out the form online for AAA and the tow truck came about two hours later. I was not with her at the time the driver picked up her Toyota, but I was on the phone and asked to speak to him. The driver, Donald, would not speak with me, even though I wanted to confirm the details with him. He did give me the number to call Matt and pay by credit card. But I wanted to confirm the address, because its easy to make a mistake with so many auto repair shops all over.My daughter drove with her friend to ### Middle Country Road, where the auto shop was. It was a 20 minute drive from Islandia to Middle Island She and her friend waited for 45 minutes, and the tow truck never came.I called her again, and said CALL THE DRIVER! You need to find out if he took the car to the wrong location. He finally answered.The tow truck man, Donald, towed her car to ## Middle Country Road, the WRONG ADDRESS, dropped the car off and gave the keys to some spanish speaking man, where the man LOCKED her car in a gatedparking lot and would not give her the car or her keys! He told her to come back tomorrow! She said NO I NEED MY CAR NOW. This is the WRONG place! This man was asking for the TITLE to the car! Seriously? No one has the title to their car on them! I was on the phone with her, trying to talk to these people, furious that they would not give her the car so we could get it to the CORRECT auto place. I was walking out the door of my house with the title in my hand to go deal with these people, when FINALLY, after 3 spanish people came, they checked my daughters license with her insurance card in the car, unlocked the gate and gave her the car back. Then she had to drive the car, with brake problems, to the CORRECT auto repair.How does a tow truck man not check first before giving the car and keys to the wrong place? The correct auto shop was waiting for our car. And my daughter was waiting in the lot! She called him twice while sitting and waiting for it. He finally picked up and told her where the car was. Very very rude. Sorry but I WOULD not recommend MD towing company. When I called to speak to Matt, (head of towing?) I could not reach him directly. And they said the problem was that AAA (which I have contacted them also about this) gave them the wrong address. AAA messed up also. That is VERY important ! The car needs to be towed to the CORRECT address. And the towing guy needs to confirm the address, and give the KEYS TO THE OWNER of the car ( or at least confirm with the auto repair that they are expecting the car??) . She was there waiting for it! NOT SOME RANDOM person who does not speak English!!! Especially for a teenage girl! Double CHECK THE ADDRESS BEFORE towing the car!

My car broke down and I needed a tow. I called my insurance and they set me up with a tow from MD Auto Repairs. They told me 90mins before someone would be there, I was ok with that. The time passed and the tracker said the tow would be arriving, I got no call or update from MD Auto Repairs. I left work and I was outside in the 90 degree weather waiting for this tow, since no one called me I called them. They tell me another 90mins, I was like why didn’t you call me or update my insurance and they said they were busy. Nice service right! Be careful if you have to use their towing service or just save your self the hassle and don’t!

Im new to the Patchogue area got recommendation from AAA Matt And the rest of the guys were very courteous and professional they did a great job on my Jeep grand Cherokee. I will be back to take care of the maintenance issues on the truck after the detailed safety inspection of my vehicle .

I have been bringing my cars to MD for years. I swear, they can fix ANYTHING! My daughter had my truck in New Orleans for last semester, While down there because of the poor condition of the streets the bottom of the truck underneath was deemed unfixable. They did a detailed inspection of my vehicle and texted me a list of issues (with photos) that needed attention according to urgency. Upfront with cost. Very pleasant to deal with. My daughter’s car was making knocking sound and stalling. My husband thought it sounded like a problem with the engine. He called Hyundai and was told that the warranty expired last month. We had it towed to MD Auto Repair in Patchogue. They told me the engine needed to replaced and it would cost $4000 to have a used one installed. The man I spoke with couldn’t understand why it wasn’t covered by Hyundai’s warranty (it’s a 2017 with 57,000 miles). I called Hyundai and spoke to someone different and they said it was covered! It just needed to be towed to a Hyundai dealership. I called MD Auto Repair back and explained the situation and asked to pay him by phone. They told me they were very happy for me and didn’t charge me anything! If anyone needs their car repaired, please go to MD Auto Repair in Patchogue. They are very honest and compassionate!

Very pleased and a call to triple A and a new battery and Matthew also noticed my belt on the alternator needed to be replaced. So they did a complete diagnostic and physical check up— ps they are picking my car up on Tuesday 6-1. For further repairs that are needed —- avoiding the book of the month club (car payment) thank you.

Ive been going to MD for a while now and they never disappoint. Recently I had them do an alignment on my F150 after some suspension work and the truck feels brand new. I dont think there is anything MD Auto Repair cant do. If your looking for a reliable mechanic shop, this is the place to go.

This is my first visit to MD Auto they were very thorough in there inspection of my vehicle. I had a leak dripping on my gear shift and wetting the passenger side for a year. I had taken the vehicle to the dealer where I have been going for repairs since I bought the vehicle and they told me they cant repair the leaking because they are not the one who installed the vehicle windshield.MD Auto came through and took care of the leaking and also replace my muffler that was noise. And got rid of the engine light.I recommend MD Auto for their clean and knowledge work.

My battery completely died getting onto a major highway. Towing was prompt, careful, and free from roadside to the shop. Carl, the tow truck driver, introduced me to the staff upon arrival. John at the front office was courteous and personable. Everyone at the shop remembered my name. Phone updates were prompt during electrical analysis and battery installation. I received exceptional and professional service at a more than fair price. I needed a jump start and AAA sent Joe from MD Auto to help me out. He was on time, nice, and got the job done. Gave a battery diagnostic after it was running, would happily recommend MD Auto and AAA!

As I was turning a corner, a situation caused me to bump into a curb. The result: blew out both passenger side tires at the same time. The MD flat bed towing truck driver suggested that I use his firm (MD) for repairs. The recommendation did not seem impartial at the time but he expressed a positive and confidence in the recommendation. I decided to trust his recommendation and agreed to bring the truck to MD. From the moment I arrived to the complete repair, MDs professional and polite communications were first class. I was impressed. In fact, MD took it upon themselves to do an all point inspection of the vehicle for my benefit. Ever detail of the inspection was documented by a photo or video and sent to me for review. I was impressed. Overall, good people and MD and I will use them again. Frank.

Great technology on the digital diagnostics. I saw photos with red arrows pointing to everything that was wrong with the vehicle. I will definitely be using their services again in the future.Other mechanics think theyre slick by loosening up your valve core stem giving you a slow tire leak two days later, so that you wake up in the morning with your truck sitting on the rim, when you have somewhere very important to be. MD Auto Repair are honest mechanics that you can trust and wouldnt play such games after not buying a new tire from them.

Was very accommodating with our schedule, fair with repairs and pricing. I picked up my husbands car for him and Matt was very nice and made me feel comfortable. That is sometimes not the case as a women going to a repair shop. I really appreciated it.

An uncommon experience for common work needed.I had a minor repair needed but car was out of operation until completed. When I arrived I was supplied with a compete multi media overview of the health (or unfortunate lack there of - not due to any fault of mechanic) of my vehicle & it was complete with easy to understand photos & video of the various components of my vehicle as well as graphics that explain each component. Matt was a total professional and it is refreshing to be reminded what good customer service is from MD. I am so used to not even being asked my name & just handed my keys & a bill that it has made me forget how a true visit to a mechanic should go. I will always use MD for my auto needs for now on & I am glad it took a small $80 issue to find them!

Matt and the men working their were extremely courteous and informative . Breaking down and having to get towed to a shop can be very stressful but they made the experiance way smoother. I went here because of a flat tire, they found the problem and fixed it. The person working the front desk was extremely helpful and polite. They also gave my car a courtesy inspection and found several problems I wasnt aware of. They are professional and their customer service is exemplary, I would come back here again.

I own a large service company and work in multiple states. Because of this I put over 100,000 miles on each of my work vans per year. I take all of my Vans to MD Auto for literally everything. They are so great at what they do that I have never broke down on the side of the road. When I take my Vans in for oil changes they go over everything and have found many things that would have normally caused me to break down but they have always found it first and fixed it. Most recently was my brakes. When they were changing them. They found my Wheel bearing Assembley was grinding and they showed me. They changed both in the frontend and now that Vans runs so much smoother. That would have definitely caused me to get stuck on the side of the road if they didnt find it first.. They are incredibly honest and do exceptional work. I have recommended them to many of my friends and family because it is so hard to find a automobile repair company that treats you like family and does only 100% quality work. They will never try to sell you something you dont need. If they tell you that you need something repaired get it done because if you dont its your own fault when you are stuck on the side of the road. MD Auto repair performed a pre-purchase used car inspection for me and handled themselves as the highest of professionals. Got into a big bind, shredding my tire and denting a rim I had no idea was previously damaged. These guys worked seemingly tirelessly to get a new rim for me from local shops on Long Island, even went so far as to order one because it seemed like the right size, And got me all set up. These guys literally CALLED 4 CAR RENTAL PLACES on my behalf to try to make sure we were okay - everything felt personal, not just professional, which is exactly what you want with your service. --Professional, friendly, competent, honest and fair--I found these guys while searching Google for highly rated mechanic garages near me. My car had a misfire that I had gotten fixed at a dealership, but the misfire kept coming back. Matt was able to pin point the problem to an electrical connector and resolve the issue. Ive had many experiences with mechanics who have cost me countless $ on unnecessary repairs, whether because they didnt know, or didnt care. That was NOT the case here. Matt spent some time with me before he did the work, asked a lot of questions, and I could tell he genuinely wanted to solve the problem for me. I know a little about cars, do some of my own work, and know my own car well. Matt was open minded and didnt patronize me as so many other mechanics have in the past. They kept me informed the entire time, and the price (which was fair) was exactly what they said it would be. I should add that this was all on a Saturday, and on short notice. We luckily arrived early for my daughters road test where an NYMV Person told us we could not use my vehicle since the inspection had expired this past spring. Despite my pleas that I had been working from home due to the pandemic the car had not been driving, they fell on deaf ears. Looking across the street I saw MD Auto Repair. After checking in with Matt to explain our predicament, he told us that he could get the car inspected before our 11a test appointment. In the end they got us taken care of and in the end she passed the road test. Thanks to Matt and his team for making her day.

After getting the run around from our PREVIOUS mechanic, and having our car stall twice in two months, (we were told by said Mechanic: its nothing that we did. Also, we cant find anything wrong with it. So your going to have to call us when it does stall out again. Why should either of us, jeopardize our life or the car because they COULDNT RUN ANY TESTS? (This mechanic and shop was highly recommended via friends, but after this, we had to walk away.)So two days ago, my mom called M & D (right up the street!). And they fit us in right away. Of course on the way the car stalled AGAIN! Thankfully even with being busy, they were able to do a Diagnostic Test (calling us first and walking us through the process and the cost) (which the Former Mechanic for some reason or another couldnt do). And they instantly found the problem.My mother is an essential worker at Saint Charles, and so for her to have the added and unexpected stress of car problems and possibly getting stuck late at night or early in the morning is highly unnecessary and unnerving.John & David were an absolute delight to work with. From the moment we walked in the Office until we picked up the car (almost a half hour after closing because we had to walk up), they were wonderful! John was behind the desk smiling, courteous, sweet and kind, genuine and honest.When we came back to pick up the car, it was after closing hours (as I previously mentioned) and they never once complained.Again, when we got back to the office, we asked to speak with the Mechanic who worked on our car. David came to meet with us. He couldnt be more pleasant, understanding, knowledgeable, and empathetic, and he took time out of his duties to answer any questions we had.On top of the absolute professionalism, the shop and office are beyond clean! They have a nice little waiting area with TV, massage chair, electric fireplace, and a computer that shows clients the status of their vehicles. Its a nice cozy place! (But it was such a beautiful day out we wanted to go for a nice walk around town), we wouldve loved to stay! (They certainly didnt have to spend money on this little area but it shows that they want to go above and beyond to make their clients relaxed and comfortable).Thank you so much again John, David and everyone at M & D. Great fast and reliable service. Came in a jiff, flexible, and can get your car up on a flat bed with no battery working Wait time is like 30mins. Drive was fast. Driver Joe was great nice, helpful, smart, and courteous. Will definitely recommend their services A1 towing is strait garbage Do not use A1. Stick with MD auto they are professional
