Your return policy is trash. I bought something less than 30 days ago and just now set it up for use and found a defect. Was told to go to the manufacturer because returns are only 15 days. Now I gotta deal with a company I cant visit in person and talk to their customer service overseas. Otherwise the staff here is nice and helpful.

Two different employees told me, with absolute certainty, that they would be opening at 10AM, with a limited amount of PS5s coming in. So I arrive at 9:50 the next day, only for them to tell me that they opened their doors at 7:30AM exclusively for people wanting a PS5. This is after checking with two different employees that 10:00AM was, in fact, the start time for PS5 sales. I canceled plans and drove 40 minutes to be here only to have received bad information. They need to inform their staff better.

I usually like this store, because the customer service is good, but whoever is doing scheduling needs to really look at the calendar. Today is a holiday snd they scheduled only 1 tech person in the phones section. It makes no sense that there is 4 cashiers, 2 ppl standing at the door, and only 1 person in the mobile department… it’s kind of hard to wait in line for 13 minutes while watching the cashiers shoot the breeze with each other. 🙄

Great place for appliances when you price shop!Also associated typically know there products and can give you a Buiness card or you can take there names down . Do you can ask questions, take time mull it over. Go back and purchase a big ticket item with out pressure.

If I could give zero stars I would. New store policy is NO PHONES. Check their website... says they have multiple pieces of an item in stock... drive to store, salesman tells me sorry we cant find them, maybe they were stolen. So I ask, All of them. Next closest store shows in stock. Ask salesperson if they could call to verify before I drive 25 minutes, he says sorry, we cant call. The new policy is there are no phones in our stores. So I hop in the car and drive all the way to the next store to get told ther same line of garbage. What kind of hair brained policy is that? So now its on the customer to drive all over creation to see if what it shows on their website is actually true. Im done, BYE BYE BEST BUY. Theyll be out of business before you know it.

Plenty of helpful and friendly staff that acknowledge you. I was helped very quickly when I entered by a nice woman who directed me to exactly where I needed to go to pick up an online order.Picking up the item was also done super quickly by the gentleman at the counter.He explained everything regarding my order and I was in and out without having to ask for help or look around myself.Definitely one of the best Best Buys Ive been to (pun intended?).

Was asked at entrance what I was looking for,I told him,and thats where it ended. I basically knew where I had to go,but when I attempted to ask a couple questions about the product I was seeking,it was a mad dash for points leading to anywhere I wasnt. No big surprise,if I had to rate on customer service,this location would get a -5, these stores pretty much run themselves,after youve been in one a couple times,you know where everything is. Just educate yourself before you go.

Mo, the sales associate in the computer section was a great help. I had to return a faulty item and he helped me every step of the way. He helped me process the full return, including the warranty and a subscription card that came with my first purchase. He then helped me order a new laptop and recommended using a new setup that would make my operating system work more efficiently. After buying my replacement through Mos help I followed his recommendation and my new setup works great, with no problems. Thanks to his help I can finally enjoy my new laptop, while experiencing no issues.

I never post reviews, but this place needs work.I shop Amazon 99% of the time, but needed quality headphones and wanted to see them in person. The demo and display models are in bad/broken shape, demo music doesnt work on most, and nobody offered help despite there being more workers than customers in the store. I finally found my way around to what I wanted, then wondered across the store with dumbfounded I need help look to get help unlocking and purchasing. Worker said they may not have it in stock but could ship to my house. Then after tapping away on the computer attempted to grab the price label in front of me (which was in a locked acrylic case with NO other products or labels whatsoever) and tell me it was wrong and for an old model, with the current model and signage displayed. all while diverting me to other headphones. I asked for a manager and got a supervisor, who said it was my responsibility to verify the sku. I took pictures immediately and filed a complaint. This was a $100 difference on a $250 product, and an obvious mistake on BB, the price should have been honored, and the label and signage fixed with the issue being addressed at a store meeting or what not.I will stick to Amazon, thanks but no thanks BB

I actually ended up buying my wifes Samsung 3 watch here after all. I swore off Best Buys do to the horrible service of the Riverhead and Farmingdale location. I totally forgot about the Patchogue location which is hands down the best one. Yvonne the greeter is by far one f the nicest people and helped me a took a moment to talk and direct me to online pick ups.

Went here with an appointment for geek squad, the women told me my phone couldn’t even catch a charge I felt like my phone was on, offered me a replacement but said it wasn’t really worth it, went 10 minutes away to the Technology Store in Medford on route 112 not only did they fix my phone in record timing the price was affordable. I’ll never trust geek squad with anything again :)

Went here because my PC junked out. Got refunded fully plus warranty. They were so kind and helpful, especially William. I then used the money to have them build a PC catered to me. William was very patient and informative. You can really tell he has a passion for building PCs. Even when they didnt have a part, he recommended another place to receive the part. Phenomenonal customer service here, and I will continue to come here for any tech help.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars!!!!Ive been shopping at Buy Best since 2002, but Ive never had such a great mind blowing experience as I had yesterday.Wow!! These guys really took their time and effort in putting in the work.I came in with a super unique situation which was kind of difficult and challenging to deal with, one that most employees would probably walk away from and say Sorry, it cant be done have a good day sir.However, these gentlemen took their time and really attacked this problem like it was a hackathon.Talk about team work at its BEST!! When one guy couldnt do it, he said, hang on, I know a guy and he couldnt quite get it, he also said hang on, I know another guy.After a few mins I had like 3 or 4 guys helping me out.With full on determination in their eyes nothing was going to stop them from achieving the task. They were like little trained Ninjas hackers, with their hands on the keyboards hand typing the receipts with smoke coming out of their hands cause they were typing so fast. Today I went in there to get a router and exchange a fit bit. Baffled by which one to get I stopped an employee who you could tell was super busy with his normal work. His name was Alex G. Alex stopped and gave me his full attention. He did research to figure out which one went with my provider and would work best with my family. I was very grateful being it was Black Friday weekend and I really did not want to be in the store. I had to go and exchange a fit bit. I walked over and stood in line for someone to help me with the cabinet. I stood there for a really long time waiting for someone to finish. Alex walked by and saw me standing there he went above and beyond to get the keys to get me the fit bit I wanted. He walked to the cashier and I went on line. Alex made my visit so much easier. I can’t thank him enough. He is a wonderful employee!

Ordered a mouse online due to 1 hour pickup option was available and having to run to another few stores in the area anyway. After 3 hours I started my run to my other stores and left Best Buy for last. So 4 hours after my order was placed I walk in and the very helpful lady at the counter tried to locate my item. After another 30 min she waved me over and told me this item is out of stock. So after wasted time and effort to order a $140 mouse I came home and ordered it on Amazon. Guess what best buy....you lost another. Hes coming for you, hes coming for you all. Jeff will take you out one buy one, pun intended.

The employees helping me to get hold of a not so readily available Samsung Chromebook were terrific. Even though their internal computer and inventory kept accepting, then moments later cancelling my order they found a way to make it work. They spent over and hour with me and since i am not in great condition medically, they found a place for me to sit down.

I rarely go to Best Buy but required a price adjustment after noticing the savings price they posted was outrageous. The price I paid for a reduced item was more expensive than Targets regular price! I returned for another reason a second time. They treated me very professionally at both S. Setauket and Patchogue locations.

My wife bought a laptop, a case and a 1 year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 (under the advice of a Best Buy associate) She was told the subscription would be needed for her specific tasks she wanted to accomplish with the new laptop and also that it was refundable. Well she never needed it and I just learned its NOT refundable. Youre associate was incompetent and lied, which resulted in a loss for us. UNACCEPTABLE! I used to buy all my electronics here but not anymore.

They went above and beyond for me, I needed an xbox controller and if you know you know, they arent easy to get right now, game stop was sold out, the employee actually looked in the back for me and went through pallets of a recent shipment just to get me my controller. I was amazed, I offered a tip but they cant accept them unfortunately, that means a young guy paid by the hour near closing time hooked me up with a controller when he couldve just lied, seriously awesome crew from the security at the door to the people working register, all very very nice and talkative and hard workers.

Best Buy of Patchogue, used to be rated 4 stars by me in 2017. However, their customer service and willingness to assist in returns and replacements has deteriorated drastically, especially over the past year. Ive purchased many items from Best Buy since they opened and also their replacement protection plans, specifically for the (what used to be) amazing protection plans. However, Patchogue does not honor the protection plan policies and I, along with others I know, have been told that the policies are open to interpretation by each store and its managers. I, along with several other people I know, have tried to either return or replace items that have had protection plan policies & been told that either we cant do it, the policy contract has been changed without our knowledge, or even that it doesnt fall within the required guidelines, even though it is completely written out. The Patchogue store employees & managers have told me & others I know, that they have their own guidelines, Corporate doesnt know what theyre talking about & it doesnt matter what weve been sold or told in the past.

Found what I needed easy enough. The new register arrangement up front was unmanned. There were 2 lines, 1 for checkout and 1 for pickup. Since there was no one there, I waited kn the pickup line, which was staffed. After 10 minutes and 3 people waiting on the other line as well as people behind me, someone came up and told us to all go on the other line, now at the end of it I waited another 10 minutes because everyone else moved quicker than me. She could have just as easily just pulled people from the other line and rang us all in order. When I explained to her what happened she definitely didnt care, not even a woops. Its a minor thing but it wasnt even busy, the line got long because no one was at the registers and the customers didnt know where to stand so it became a mess for no real reason.

I pull up to buy some stuff. First Im told I have to order it myself. It would be outside and on a tablet. Then I have to pay before they look for the products. pay. Finally Ill have to wait 30 - 45 minutes!Not. Happening.I go around the bend to Staples. Im in and out in 15 minutes.In these trying times, good customer service will be remembered. So too will lousy responses to real problems.Circuit City, Tops, Square Deal, Radio Shack - all out of business. How price sensitive are customers? It would be too tough to say that it was the worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with, only because there was none to speak of. I went into the store to look a new phone since mine is on its last legs and spent some time near the Samsung display checking out the specs. I thought it would be pretty easy to be helped since there were at least 2 employees at the cell phone desk, but after waiting and waiting I decided to wander around the store. After about 10 minutes I went back and waited for anyone to approach and nobody ever did, at a point I didnt want to ask for help just to see how long it would take. After 30 minutes of waiting and a complete void of customer service I walked out with no new phone and the knowledge that I wont be going back to that specific store. I have been to a few Best Buy stores and had great service and help, this must not be on the list of things provided at the Patchogue Best Buy.
