Delicious Indian food tucked inside the Indian grocery store. Friendly and fast service. Pani Puri, Bhel Puri, Idli, Samosa chat and mango lassi veg and vegan all very tasty and fresh.

I came in here with very modest expectations, but they were all too high. The clerk who took my order, ignored every single request my partner made, and required me to repeat it to him in order for it to be acknowledged. To add to this very questionable behavior, he overcharged me, by atleast 25% or so, and even refused to give me a lesser quantity of pastries(a box of 10 or so) when requesting it.I chose to overlook these frustrations and concentrate on the food. While it did taste really excellent - I found myself only minutes later feeling immense inflamation and fatigue. Another reviewer claims they deep fry with canola oil, which I have learned from much experience, is extremely unhealthy and toxic for me and well most anyone.Without exaggeration, this relatively casual transaction has been one of the worst I have had with any business in years. I dont think they are sound to operate. The food is - despite its incredible flavor - poisonous.

First time here. Great service. Garlic naan was delicious! Numerous vegan and vegetarian entrees to pick from. The combos are a great deal. Generous portions. Only area of improvement is the entrees were a bit on the oily side. Overall great value!Free parking lot. Can get crowded around noon. Recommend going early.

Strongly recommend this place. Well maintained grocery store with fresh vegetables as well as has a medium sized eatery attached. Food tastes very authentic and tasty. I usually dont comment about customer service in an Indian grocery store because I have lost hope expecting it but the staff in this place were very friendly and courteous which I appreciated a lot!

Best, and affordable Indian restaurant in Pasadena. Lovely food and ambiance. The only flaw is fewer people serving customers. At times there is a long cue so much that customers get uncomfortable to wait. :( all other is superb.Writing another review 8/27/2021: I am going to say again, the food and all is amazing. We go here almost everyday. But the internal system of taking orders and billing sucks. I hope they improvise it. There is no proper billing line. Today had a worst experience with them. Because of their improper system there was some disturbance during billing. Some other customer who I don’t know where he was standing just came up and pulled out my card while paying and behaved rudely asking the server to bill his items. And I blame the system. And the server didn’t even care to address this. Please provide some training to your employees as to how to communicate and show appreciation. 😑.

There are more vegan options at this Indian restaurant then any Indian restaurant Ive ever been to! The food is amazing.

Beware of overcharging! Always check your receipt. Today I bought a medium curry and a medium plain rice and was charged $18! If it happened once I’d put it down as an honest mistake but it’s happened to me multiple times. I will not support a business where the staff are untrustworthy and try to rip you off. So disappointing as I’ve been a regular customer for years. Definitely won’t be going back there again.

Excellent food! The papdi chat was flavorful but not overwhelming. The potatoes in the Mysore masala Dosa were also really well done. I could have just eaten that 😃 the market also sells lots of other stuff, spices, packaged foods and produce.

The place has really good food but the service is very bad, the people attending are not welcoming and they work extremely slow from taking order to billing. It feels like they are doing favors to customers by serving them. When customers are coming to get food and food comes slow it’s really irritating 😠.

This spot is a such a high vibe space. The staff is so kind that if ur in a mood they really bring you back to life. They have a restaurant and a grocery store. I love this place. So much closer than the Indian spot in Los Feliz. Oh and the parking is good too.

Grocery store have all indian items like grains, spices, ready made items, diary products, frozen indian food, vegetables, oils, soap, worship items, snacks etc. staff is cooperative and friendly. Good to shop for monthly indian groceries.Restaurant attached to shop is small but you will not disappoint with food taste, variety and service. Restaurant offer buffet in lunch and dinner. Along with buffet you can separately order famous snacks, diary items. Last but not least its an indian sweet shop as well. So rest ur taste bud with delicious indian sweet.

Great place. Market as well as a lunch spot. Fair prices and (I think) authentic food that is super delicious. I like that they dont tone down the heat haha, some places do that because some people dont like spicy food, but it loses the richness and authenticity. Not here. Good veggie selection as well as spices, yogurt, and grains.

Very clean restaurant inside a well stocked Indian grocery store. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the food was delicious. Its an all vegetarian menu, but if youre not vegetarian dont let it stop you trying - Normally Im a firm believer in some type of meat being involved in a meal, however the food here makes that unimportant, it really is that good!

The service is too slow as they have very less staff. One of the staffs is very rude and does not know how to be professional enough.

For being a market the food was very good. Not too spicy although we were told it was medium. Service not that good. The server had an attitude but the owner was nice. Compensated with a free somoza. I would come back. Food was tasty. Nice Indian music and funny entertainment.

Grocery is ok.Nowadays Bhanu indian grocery place has improved a lot. GOT some sweets at the insistence of my kids ladoo and jalebi. Worst . Gone bad . Tasted old on the first bite. NAMASTE SPICELAND once also carried expired vermicelli packet which i returned. Food from the kitchen is ok. But sweets and snacks think twice.

Its a worst indian shop in Pasadena. The cashier will just cheat you in billing. Make sure you recheck the bill. Minimum 10 $ per person he is likely to cheat. Please guys be careful.

I visited an Indian restaurant and loved the food. I decided to try to make red lentil Dal. Came here for some of the harder to find ingredients like tumeric roots. They are very nice here and the store is really lovely.

Yummy flavorful Indian food to go in the Indian market. Many different vegetarian dishes: peas, carrots, potatoes in curries, dal, okra, lentils, different paneers. Its all good. Now with covid, you can get food to go. When covid is finally over, you may eat inside market with tables & chairs. Market also serves desserts, ice cream. Try their hot food area, you wont be disappointed served either over plain white rice or eggplant rice. I like the eggplant rice and I ask them to cover my rice with numerous flavorful sauces with combination meals. One eating adventure that is not to be missed. Youll become a fan of Indian food. 🍆🤗😄🙄

I love Indian food! Raised on it and this place is just like home cooking. I lived in LA for medical school and whenever I was missing my mom’s cooking I came here to eat. I brought my mom with me and she said it was the best Indian food she has ever had!

I wouldn’t normally describe anything I taste as ‘beautiful’ but that word comes to mind a lot when I’m eating here. (Especially the Punjabi curry). This isn’t just some ofthe best, most flavorful and delicate Indian food I’ve had—it’s hands down some of the best tasting food I’ve had overall.

Its a great Indian grocery store with a wonderful eatery on the side. Love the vegetarian dishes & the samosas are so good! I took a dozen to a party & my friends loved it. The prices are super reasonable, you can get full for $10 or less. The desserts are delicious too.

The food here is amazing and all vegetarian, and mostly vegan. This is my favorite Indian restaurant. Its served cafeteria style and they give you massive portions. I can never finish mine. The samosas are great.

This store has an incredible selection of Indian spices and many other things! I think the prices are very reasonable considering they a specialty goods. Youll be gad pressed to find a better price at Amazon or even Walmart. Great place to shop for special flour as well!

Fully vegetarian Indian store with cafe. Food is good and variety of products is great. The only downside is that products are crammed on the shelves and walkways are too tight. But you wouldnt expect other from a budget friendly store.

A terrific market and restaurant with an impressive selection in all categories and a helpful staff. Im jealous of my sister having it in her neighborhood. They were oohing and aaahing at the salted lassi.

The food at this place changed my life. I want to sell everything I own and live in my car in the parking lot of this place and wait for it to open every day. If you dont like the food here, just dont come here because I dont trust your opinion on anything and I dont want to see your face. They also have lots of fascinating items in the grocery section.

Grocery: theres blatant price gouging on certain items; but reasonable pricing on raw ingredients and spices. Any immigrant shopper can see the differences. Brands on Chevra and Gathia are inconsistent. (Varying supply lines). Customer service also not quite Angeleno . . .Dining: freshly cooked food is delicious and properly packed! (Ive not tried the buffet options).

I go here often and enjoy it. I would like to see a little bit more variety and a few spicier plates once in a while. I would like to see their curry dishes which are of course very good but could stand to be a little stronger on the curry side. Its obviously very traditional Indian food as most of the people who eat there are in fact Indian. One of the big advantages that I like is you literally get to see the food youre ordering.

I love the grocery store and being able to pick up herbs and stuff. The food used to be better when it first opened but now its too salty. If youre conscious of sodium I would not suggest this place. But, if you want to pick up thinks like ghee, tumeric, tea, and other Indian/South Asian products this is a good place to stop at. And the staff are always nice and helpful.

A fabulous Indian grocery store chock full of fresh spices plus a very good food counter that you can walk up to and order delicious bits of Indian food. There is seating so you can eat there. A great place!
