Did a fast, reasonably-priced repair of a 20-year-old desk lamp needing obsolete parts. Good folks, know how to treat their customers. Eager to work with me, unlike another shop I visited who threw out a high $ number and didnt seem to value in a new customer. Ill definitely be back to Talbotts.

Schedued an appointment to rewire a light switch. No one showed up, no one called. I called after they missed the appointment. Mr. Talbott called me later and said they got busy with other projects, and couldnt make the appointment. He did not explain why they couldnt call and tell me that so we didnt wait all day for them. He promised to have someone out 8AM three days later, which I declined. This was a test to see who we are going to invite to bid on rewiring the whole house, and unfortunately Talbott Electric didnt meet muster.

I had a good experience about 6 years ago using Talbott to install a new 200 amp service, new breaker box, and associated wiring in my 99 year old bungalow. Everything was done correctly, passed inspection with no problems, on time and consistent with the estimate. The work was done with sensitivity to the historic character of the home, and the workers cleaned up afterwards.One star off for less than perfect communication, which mainly was about not communicating that they planned to install a new service box that was not compatible with my existing Square D breakers, the ones that show a red flag when the breaker is blown. Instead, they installed a box of a different brand, and inferior breakers which do not show any indication of which breaker has been tripped. Very inconvenient to determine which breaker needs to be reset. So minus 1 star for not explaining that up front, and if it was a matter of significantly differing costs, letting me know and giving me an option to stay with the type of breakers I had, or, for a lower cost (perhaps), go with the breakers they gave me.
