It was an excellent experience with the Staff at CARSTAR Douglas Auto Body. My car was damaged by a person who tried to rob me in my car at an intersection during a red light. He was definitely hopped up on something. Needless to say, he used a knife to scratch my rear corner panel and he also stabbed my hood so hard the knife folded on his hand. He did a lot of damage. The entire rear fender on the passenger side and the entire hood were reworked and repainted. The surfaces were entirely restored to match the factory including the restoration of pitting on the hood that was not part of the insurance claim. Paint matching and blending are excellent. Orange Peel is minimal, not more than the original factory, and will eventually shrink as the clearcoat hardens. All the sanding and reworking of the damaged areas of the surface was done with great care and sensitivity. Therefore the reflections are perfect as intended by the original design of the car. Uninterrupted by any sort of surface imperfections. Excellent work. I would say, as good as it gets. Thank you Hector, Ashak, and crew for taking care of me.

Douglas Auto Body was professional from the first time I called to schedule an appointment. I appreciate the way they kept me updated on the progress at all time. They did a fantastic job although they ended up not replacing one of the parts on the car and charged me the same amount as the estimate that included that part replacement. Car looks brand new after repairs were done on the separate places on the car.

I had the misfortune of getting my side mirror broken in a parking lot. I was frustrated, thinking that repairing or replacing it would be a time consuming mess. Arshak and the team at CARSTAR Douglas Auto Body are the DEFINITION of honesty! Long story short back in 2017 I had damage to the keyhole (either punched in or possibly fell in from wear/tear) on my drivers side door on my 06 Mustang. Ford quoted me at $750 to replace and fix which at the time wasnt in the budget. Fast forward to today and not only was Douglas Auto Body able to salvage the door handle and lock, I was only charged $195! I really appreciate the honesty and integrity of this business and would recommend them to anyone.

Our Jeep was towed there after an accident because they were recommended by our insurance company. I was assigned one contact, Hector, who was amazing. He tracked the progress of the vehicle and kept me informed the whole way. There is no substitute for the warmth and care you get from a family-owned business. Pictured below is my good ole Nissan, whose name is Mālie. Mālie is the Hawaiian word for calm or peaceful. She is 9 years young this year and has come across the continental US with us -- we bought her brand new in Miami and have moved from there to Houston and then to Pasadena, CA.Last week, I got into a little fender bender and the back bumper was dented. Honestly, the car was still drivable and Mālie had a number of love tap wear and tear scars that it didnt phase me. Oh and the door locks stopped working on auto so we have been manually dealing with the doors. So its been a little old school but Mālie is sturdy!And then I got the quote from my insurance. Now Im no expert but I was fairly sure the damage was not worth paying the deductible and risking that my policy premium would go up.Thats when I went shopping around and came to Douglas Auto Body. They took all the stress out of the process, including that the interior of their shop reminded me of a hotel lobby! Each staff member was attentive and instantly made me glad I went for another quote. The owner and general manager, Armen, honestly treated me as if I was a member of his family. You cant fake that kind of customer service, especially when it comes to getting your car fixed.They hardly had Mālie for a week and she was ready. I felt like I was on some car reality show and it was the big reveal! She looks and feels brand new, and I didnt sell my soul for the cost of repairs. Service was very professional and customer service was great. When I first went in to get an estimate, they screwed on a loose piece of my bumper even though I had not made a commitment to have them to do the work.Their facility is very nice, with a customer waiting area, receptionist and beverage area, like an upscale car dealership has.Pricing was very competitive. I got an estimate at an old style body shop that a friend had recommended. I had to walk into the shop to get someone to help me, no customer waiting area, not very professional, the time they stated to do the job was 2 days longer than Carstar, which would mean a longer car rental during repairs and their estimate was higher than Carstar!I was very happy with the work that Carstar performed and their customer service.

Im still amazed at the extent this men and women went with the insurance to get my car fixed. The first estimate was at a different body shop, but when I brought the car in, they had to re-do another estimate; taking care of everything that got damaged from the crash. They did a great job on my 2014 Range Rover Sport. Bodywork and paint looks great no question about it.Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would have no problem recommending CarStar Douglas to people. In fact, as I type this, i’ve already dropped off my Subaru STI for minor repairs.There was one minor issue. It would seem that a car door was left open in the body shop. So when I got my car back some of the interior was coded in dust. But that’s really it.

Good customer service..The other partys insurance wanted me to take my vehicle to Service King autobody shop in Arcadia but being that Carstar Douglas Body Shop is a Ford authorized body shop. I have lived around the corner not too far for 14 years and thank God no need for body shop. Unfortunately ended up in a minor accident and my Hondas bumper was damaged a bit. Luckily the other party was responsible and insured. Carstar worked with the insurance company and did the repair and paint on my bumper. Not only they fixed and painted my bumper with an A+ quality but they even washed my car and cleaned inside even the rugs were washed. OMG....I am speechless about the super service. Recently purchased an Acura brand new car and the dealer didnt give that service to me after having spent 50k....To me this is the place to go if something needs to be fixed. They are amazing.......Youve earned my clientele. Strongly recommend them.

I got my car back better than when I bought it. I asked what was their secret and they use a special type of clay and then polish and waxed everything. The person who hit me, their insurance covered the repair and everything was on time amd on budget from the original quote. The family atmosphere with the most elite service will earn my business for years to come.
