Megan is the best GameStop associate I have ever encountered. She is the sole reason I still shop in store, but only at her store. She continues to impress with her vast knowledge, and she will make any shopping experience immaculate.

Rude and will never renew my yearly membership ever again. Bought my daughter a fortnite card for her birthday and couldnt get it to work on her ps4. She was so disappointed. When I went in they said they cant give me a refund and was unwilling to help me get it to work. I will call corporate!

Walked in because the doors were unlocked and was rudely told they weren’t open yet. You don’t open until noon that’s fine but no reason so be rude to customers who were unaware.Edit: went back in and they apologized and were extremely friendly and helpful

Bought some games there. They were helpful with my questions.

Only had one of the three PS4 games I was looking for. However I was buying just the basic version and because he couldnt find it I got the extended version $40 cheaper.

Employees are nice

This game stop bought my controller at a very unfair price of $3 assuring me that the $40 worth of produce they were selling would work. I return to this location 4 times that day each time there was another solution that yet cost me more money each time. In the end they refused to give me back my old controller because I didnt come back right away and still no solution.

Who doesnt love a Game Stop? Lol. I think my kids would buy the entire store! The staff was very helpful as well. Considering that I am not too tech savvy at all. They was a big help!.

Wanted to ask some questions before I would decide to buy a Switch, but both cashiers were too busy talking to one customer about Starbucks employees not being allowed to take tips. When I tried to ask for help I got a Hold on just a sec. Which turned into holding on for 10 minutes. At that point I just decided to give up and leave. Looks like Ill be buying my Switch from the Walmart down the street.Thats $300-$400 that Gamestop couldve made if the employees actually cared about customer satisfaction.

Went in there with money to burn. I was the only customer in the store and yet I got no assistance or service. Dude just stared at us like we were the disease. They need new employees

This is my favorite game stop I live in Ethans Ohio theres one in Athens this game stop particulars in Parkersburg West Virginia I drive there because the people that were there are super awesome theyre good to talk to you cut up and carry on a little bit with them but theyve a 100% made all monies that have ever needed help me understand a couple settings and best place in oral did a pre orders or anything like that

Usually Love Gamestop and Thier employees but On 12/28/2019 in the Mary Walter plaza Gamestop in Parkersburg WV.While picking out the games I was going to buy, I literally had an employee take the game case from my hands, claiming they had mistakenly put it on the shelf but were out of that game, and then sell the last copy to another customer who had come in after me.The customer obviously saw the game in my hands while I was shopping, realized there were no more, went to the counter and asked for it, which the employee agreed and then came and took it from me.Not even a, are you going to buy that?He just took it and directly gave it to the guy who came in after me.So to hell with gamestops brick and mortar.

Well...its GameStop. If youre a gamer, you already know GameStop. If youre not, its somewhere you need to visit around Christmas time. Cant go wrong.

Contrary to what Ive heard about the GameStop company as a whole, neither of the stores in town are like that but I prefer this one. Store is spacious and not crowded with displays, the staff is frankly some of the nicest and friendliest of any store in town and theres always some sort of sale whenever I shop. One of the associates actually called me one evening to suggest preordering a game using money for a past pre-order I had forgotten about. Ive never had them lie about a game being unavailable or only used, force their rewards card (I got the Elite Pro card a few months before they discontinued it, and I suggested it) or any other shady practices Ive heard about. One tiny gripe I have is after sales they dont always cover the sales sticker on a game; I got Final Fantasy XV for $30 when the sticker said $20, but I wont make a fuss over a $10 difference.

They seem to know what is going on.I find more and more reasons why I hate gamestop, including a return policy that hand you a defective piece of merchandise, and because the defect is so minor, you would never know, until you brought it back for a trade in, and suddenly, they have a machine to test it and dock your trade in value.From now on, if I ever do make another purchase from gamestop, I will have even NEW products tested on the spot.They DO NOT take the same consideration for the consumer as they do for themselves.There is a very good chance the product you purchase, could have a super minor defect, that you would never notice, but you will loose EVEN MORE MONEY on your trade in, verses their already terrible trades.
