Always so accommodating, great selection and great prices. I have 3 kids to outfit every winter and we always LOVE ski barn! The seasonal rentals for equipment are priced perfectly for growing children!

Went there last week to have them align my bindings with my boots, a job that takes 3 minutes or less and is free at the mountain, and they tried to charge me $75. I got them down to $50 but that is still a complete rip off. I shouldve left but I was flustered by the guy who helped me. When I arrived to the counter and asked a question he made a rude comment instead of helping me and then refused to look at me - he would only make eye contact with my boyfriend and respond to him although I was the one trying to speak to him. Terrible experience that still haunts me. Dont go here there are SO MANY other lovely places that will not rip you off just because they can.

I would never recommend this location to anyone. I always go to the one in Lawrence town. But since I moved to NY, I started to come to this location. However, I am not happy with my experiences here. Nobody asked me if I need something. It’s even hard to get help when I need. My plan was to purchase a pair of boots for myself and one gift for my friend. After I got my friend’s gift, I changed my mind that I don’t want to spend more money here. I would never come back for anything. This place is not a good choice.

Ive been buying ski equipment here for the past 25 years and its the only place I go to!! Great selection and great service. Plus some of the best boot fitters around.

They have everything you need for your winter outdoor adventures.I went in to check out their clearance and try on some boots. It was not too busy. I walked around the snowboard section, browsing the boards and boots (~10min). No one was around offering help. There was definitely more people interested and assisting in the ski section. I ditched trying on boots and found something on the clearance rack. The jacket had no tag so I brought it to the cashier who asked someone else to check the price (which is acceptable to keep the line moving). I stand to the side for about 10 min and dont hear any updates. Get in line again to ask another cashier and it turns out no one checked the price of the jacket. The new cashier goes upstairs to check the price (~5min). It ends up not being a clearance item. I had another item I was going to buy but the line wasnt moving and I didnt feel like wasting more time.

We rented skis for our family of 5 and it all went smoothly. We had to go back to get the skis because it was late in the day but a good experience other than that.

I received help from a gentleman in the ski boot area last week and he was knowledgeable and took his time fitting my boots! There were a ton of people there but I didn’t feel like he was rushing me at all. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why it would be helpful for the boot overall. I highly recommend ski barn for your ski boot needs!

I bought my snowboard boots from Ski Barn Paramus location two years ago and recently brought them in today to adjust the boots to get a better fit. Ive had boot issues my entire life snowboarding since I was age 10 and I have to say I was very impressed the way that Luke took care of me. He was very patient and helped heat mold the the boot liner as well as added J bars to help anchor my foot in place better to remedy the toe pain issue I was having. Luke is a big reason why I would keep coming back to get services tailored to my needs.

I only needed a new waxing brush and two gummy stones and was having a terrible time finding them online. Ski Barn had all of the items in stock with a selection of brands (including the brand I was looking for). Delivery was faster than Amazon was promising and all of the items were wrapped with extreme care in recyclable materials which I greatly appreciate. Im extremely pleased with every aspect of my experience and will definitely be returning as a customer. Thank you Ski Barn!

Ski Barns ski rental system involves inviting renters to leave a deposit ($100-200 per person) for a year to gain a discount from the next years rental but ... if you thought that it guarantees you a pair of skis/boots come the next year at normal prices you would be wrong. Instead they rent on a first come first serve basis, with no regard to knowing customers with deposits will be returning expecting skis/boots. So the rental ski/boots run out. So even if you had paid a hefty deposit you still get the *honor* of paying for Ski Barn to use new skis/boots for rentals. That honor costs you an *additional* $100 per rental for skis, ditto extras for boots etc.

I needed help with locating a ski jacket that was in tight supply. The sales lady went above and beyond to not only find the item. She noticed an error in the order and was abler to secure the jacket in another store for us( which by the way was the last one) Our son was able to have a great gift for his birthday . Thank you so much !!

Their inventory seems to be smaller than I remember but they have quality products... which means everything costs a lot of money. Workers were helpful though.

Really like this place. I got my snowboard and ski boots from them. Very helpful stuff, aknowledgeable, they can help you with your shoes even when you bought them a long time ago.Nice selection of clothes and accessories, they also have service and waxing so after a full season of riding you can easily bring your equipment and they will help you to get it back in the shape.I give 4 stars only because when its season and its crowded you have to wait for your help longer.Besides that everything is great!

This place is where you can get ALL your gear for this upcoming winter season! Highly recommend this spot!I wanted to highlight the Vincent and Lu who helped me pick out my snowboarding gear! We all know that getting new equipment is such a intimidating decision because we dont know whether or not we are getting the right products. But Vincent was really good at recommending a boot for me, and Lu went above and beyond to help me pick a helmet and goggles! Thanks much to these two guys!

I normally do not write review but for this I had to. There was absolute horrible customer service at Paramus today. I went into the store originally on a weekend in search for a new pair of ski goggles. After seeing and trying on a few display models, I finally settled in on a pair recommended by the sales associate. He subsequently told me that he would get a new pair from the back and bring it over to me. I took the new box that he gave me and trusted that it was in new condition and promptly paid for it at the register. After getting back home and few days later, I unwrapped and opened my googles only to discovered they were clearly used and had indentations on the inside foam padding of the goggles. I brought it back to the store within the five days of purchase an requested for a refund right away since the item had clear marks of being used and not in great shape. The sales manager inspected it and accused me of lying and said I must have used it to ski over the weekend (which I did not or had time to). I emphasized that I had not used it but he refused to listen or believe my case. Be warned, ski barn has no quality control and will willingly sell you used item claiming to be new. Cashier and manager were not helpful or empathetic and clearly do not care about their customer of the integrity of their product.

Lots of ski equipments selection even at the end of the season, store assistant is friendly and answer all my questions. However, their season end promotion is not as good as some other store in NJ

Due to covid and high demand all my local stores including Sun ski and 2 other 2 stores of Sundown in nassau county, NY went out my kids size. since I already purchased skid for next day, left me no choice but contact Ski Barn last min and glad it was on way to the mountain, I spoke to Ryan and he was very helpful and willing to check if they have the size for my kid, as soon confirmed they have the size I paid everything over the phone and picked up next day. I paid high premium since the rental were brand new but with the services and willing to take an extra step help a customer i think is well worth the money!

I stopped in to buy a Weber grill and not a single person in the store bothered talking to me. I ended up going to the hardware store near my house and bought a $1200 grill off of them.

People are nice. We were probably too late in the season as the variety was not there over all for kids.

Customer service from the younger gals is horrible. Felt like high school drama and we were a inconvenience to them. Furthermore, the same when cashing out at register. Trying to let our daughters pay for their own stuff, a little trouble using their debit cards for $800 sale and the cashier was not so friendly and patient. We would not spend our hard earned money there again. mom & dad spent $200 too.2 stars, because all the guys & mature ladies seemed very nice and eager to help you!p.s. - they have enough gear to get you going. a little pricey. but thats sking life.-entrance in rear. not front-cashier area is a little confusing and needs some stantions too. I rented a pair of snow boots on Tuesday. I called on wednesday to check if I could return it for a refund, since a friend told me he would give me a pair that he has. The person that I spoke to on the phone, told me that there would be no problem, so I told him I would do so on Friday.Friday I bring the boots to return it, but the man behind the cash register told me that it was not possible. After telling him about my phone conversation, he went to ask somebody, and that person agreed, that it was ok to return it. Still the cashier, kept on giving me unnecessary attitude and raising his voice. Extremely unacceptable. I checked before coming in, and I was not begging for the refund.The experience was extremely insulting and demeaning.We are a family of five that will never return to that store.(the cashier was a blond young man, with a lot of attitude)

Some staff were helpful, others not. Had a guy heat mold my boots and he buckled them so tight that it created a giant crease in the liner leading to a hot spot in the boot that I can’t get rid of.

Great service! I purchased my winter wedding jacket and pants at Ski Barn. When I saw the jacket online, I felt in love with it. Patti and Louise were extremely helpful; they ordered and held the pants that could match the jacket until I was able to try and decide. This place is a one stop shop for everything ski and snowboard related. Unfortunately, the staff comes off rude because of their rushed attitude and aggressive mindset to make sales. Their comments can seem sarcastic and even snarky at times. They say they dont make any commission but I overheard the sales associate encouraging a staff member to push the customer in buying something they didnt need.

I go to Ski Barn because I am not a good skier but want to look good on the slopes! The clothing is stylish and different from other athletic stores. I mostly wear the clothing for playing paddle but also for the little bit of skiing I do. My sales woman, Patti, helped pick out a jacket, pullover and pants. Last year I discovered they also sell patio furniture during the summer. I bought a patio table and chairs from them and they look marvelous!

Excellent service! Needed a roof rack for our ski trip this weekend. Called on my way from work to get info on availability and pricing. Emily went the extra step to search which items were in stock and found someone my husbands height (for ski length purposes) so we could get the smallest rack that fit all our stuff. She didnt try to up-sell or give me something I didnt need. When I got to the store and told her my time restraint of 20 minutes, she quickly took charge. She and Willy unpacked it and mounted it to the car in 15 minutes. After dealing with other companies that pass me off to several associates before accomplishing anything, Im relieved to deal with people that take the initiative and care! Have to also note the product (Thule roof rack) is awesome.

Had some bindings put onto skis yesterday in about 30 minutes while I waited. Price was fair and service was excellent. A special thanks to Robert, who really went above and beyond.

This place has a wide selection of up-to-date products for competitive prices. On top of that their staff is really friendly and very helpful. My wife had troubles with her current boot setup, and one of the bootfitters had her set up and molded into a new pair within half an hour. The fitter was experienced, knowledgeable and really nice.

After being poorly fitted buy one of the boot salesman, I went back and was refitted into a completely different boot by both Willie and Steve. Their service and care was extraordinary. It is true that Ski Barn does charge retail for their equipment. But if you want great service, I would absolutely recommend them. Willie and Steve are gracious, honest, and highly professional. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Very rude staff.They have a big selection of everything but the staff....Literally, when I asked the guy for help, very rudely he pointed his fingers multiple times to where I should go (like I was blind or stupid), bulging his eyes at me like something got into him. I understood the first time he told me hes helping someone else, but being my first time there and after looking a while for other people that could help me guide to where the helmets were, I dared ask him the question. BTW, he was behind the counter when I asked him the question, not on the floor with a customer.He made me feel like crap. It was my first time going into Ski Barn and I left with a bitter taste in my mouth. After a full and busy day at work, I couldnt wait to go pick up my sons new ski helmet for his ski class. I went in with a smile and left humiliated after the guy acted like this. I blame it on the age I guess,it was an older guy.After a while of wondering around, I finally found someone else younger that was nice and willing to help (even though he was busy arranging some items on the shelf ). Waited for him to finish and he was of great help of advising which helmet was best for my son.Note to yourself if you go there: dont go to the older guy if hes there for help. He needs some retraining on how to treat customers that go there to spend money and not feel humiliated.

Can’t say enough about all that Ski barn has to offer! I’ve gone in to buy gifts for the skiers in my life and I come out with both gifts for them and a special treat for me too! Top of the line quality in all their inventory.I’ve also had amazing special attention from the staff... after an injury left me with a leg length discrepancy, I was thrilled to find I could ski again with the help of Ski Barn’s expert bootfitter, Will. He not only helped me find the most comfortable boots, he also allowed me to demo his wife’s skis, which he added a durable lift between the binding and the ski to compensate for the leg length differential! The owners Patti and Ray are the best, if not for them I wouldn’t have gotten back out on the mountain a few years back!!Our next trip to Ski Barn will be to replace our outdoor furniture! Again, top of the line and reasonable pricing! Best in the area for your year round needs!!

I have had trouble getting ski boots in the past. Willie, Steve and Tom took the time to find a perfect boot, make a ton of adjustments and put me in the most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned. Their passion for customer service and quality are unparalleled. I would highly recommend ski barn Paramus for expert boot fitting!!!

I went into the Paramus store prior to Christmas to get my son his own snowboard gear (after years of rentals). The store was very busy, but the salesperson was so knowledgeable and patient. He listened intently to my son when he was describing how he boarded, and gave us top 3 choices for his style and explained all the slight differences. We walked out of there very happy! Great boot fitting and very nice selection. An assortment that fits all skill levels. Prices not as head as some online retailers but you get free boot fitting which otherwise costs $65+ each time.

The folks at Ski Barn are probably the single-most reason to consider shopping local in spite of technologys ease of use. Nick at Ski Barn has been a wonderful help in ordering some summer items that needed fairly detailed questions answered. He gave me his personal number and has been super communicative. He has bent over backwards to help out and I wont forget it any time soon. Sonia has helped me pick out clothing for my kids during ski season and shes been an absolute delight. Those personal interactions dont happen online and so if youre considering that pricing is generally equal, do yourself a favor and go see these great people at SkI Barn. Youll be happy you did.

Volcom, Quiksilver, Burton, 686...I had a Problem with a board that I brought in to get a base grind and repair.. They where able to work with me on it and we are trying to fix the issue...We have been going there for years.. Fair and Honest place.. great sales people..

Great place to get seasonal ski/snowboard rentals

I’ve been a loyal Ski Barn customer for years and they keep earning my business. Can’t say enough good things about the staff and their honest, in depth knowledge of gear etc - all without EVER pressuring you to spend more than you need or that is appropriate. On multiple occasions I’ve opened the door to an upsell and been given honest feedback that has convinced me not to spend unnecessarily. We continue to rent ski for our kids and the prices are right and the equipment is very good. When I’ve had issues with equipment I’ve purchased they’ve worked with me to get it right and we’re more than fair with the way they’ve handled the return / exchange. More than fair. I’ve so impressed with this store - they really do business the right way! I’m their customer for life.

Ski Barn has a great selection. They switch to outdoor/patio furniture for spring and summer so if you’re looking for ski gear you’ll need to go in fall or winter.

Overall, not a bad place for ski rental in Bergen. Allow plenty of time when you pick up your order. Had to leave after 30 minutes of waiting when they couldnt find my skis.

I love the Ski Barn in Paramus. The help is totally professional and always courteous. They stand behind their products. For example, last year they were willing to switch my seasonally rented skis even though the mistake was mine. I had insisted on renting junior skis. They said it wasnt a good idea. They were right and they kindly changed my skis for me with a smile. I always have a great experience at Ski Barn.

Went there a couple hours be closing. Staff seemed annoyed and wanting to go home. Bought 850 worth of skis and boots and got 8 dollars off a set of poles. No veteran or first responder discount. Suggest shop around.
