Poor customer service. Be wary if you don’t fit their demographic.My husband and I stopped in last weekend to see if they had a few parts in stock. We found our items and had a question about availability so we waited for an available salesperson. Reps walked past us without acknowledging us. It was pretty obvious we were different than their normal clients but ignoring customers is an odd way to go about handling a “wait” (we were 1 of 3 couples in the store).Giving two stars because they have a lot of items on display! We took pictures of the items we wanted and ordered them elsewhere. Glad we could see our items in person before purchasing.

I do not understand why a mask is necessary to shop here. It is ridiculous. The staff were very nice but your policy is ridiculous

Called over the phone and asked for a specific service. Came into the location and said that no one had received a call about what I had just spoken about over the phone.

This store is a throwback in time. The staff is deeply knowledgeable and helpful. They are willing to look at photos on your smartphone to help you figure out which parts you need. (Ive done this many times. The photos really help.)They will also coach you on how to fix items. And, just as important, how not to mess it up. They will remind you how not to damage pipes on older homes. If you need help with plumbing, this is the best place to visit in our area.

I needed help replacing a part on a gas furnace and Bob was the most helpful person I could have hoped for. I am an air conditioning and heating contractor in Florida that was visiting a friend in Fair Lawn NJ. He needed help replacing a part on his boiler that I was not familiar with. We do not have residential boilers in Florida. Bob went above and beyond to explain to me how the part works. He asked me the right questions to make sure I had the correct part and information that I needed to install it properly. I am in Florida now and may never see Bob again. I will never forget the patience and kindness he showed me proving that he cares about people in the way he does business.

This is the best place ever to purchase Plumming supplies ..great people to help and answer your questions. Really honest, prices better than anywhere even on line stores. Davidson’s won’t ever steer you wrong, that’s why they’ve been in the same locations for years and years to come..very friendly and caring just stop in to say hello and see for yourself..

The guys at the counter helped me figure out all the parts that I needed and matched everything with a nice style for my bathtub. I know nothing about plumbing but they were patient and very nice. I recommend them highly!!!

I have had nothing but a pleasant experience coming here. I have been here a handful of times already since we are renovating two bathrooms. Each time the owners have been kind and helpful whether they were busy or not. If they could not come to us right away, they still acknowledged us and said they would be with us shortly. I would definitely recommend coming here.

We’re redoing a bathroom, visited many plumbing supply stores. At Davidson they were the most helpful (by far) than our other experiences.

Really like their helpful customer service.I came to Davidson looking for a part that everyone normally carries, but with my luck no one currently has in stock. It was just before closing time where everyone would normally be in a rush to leave. A sales rep listened to what I was looking for, checked, but said that they too had none in stock.Fair enough, so Im batting 0%. What made this encounter a pleasant surprise was that he proceeded to tell me to check with another supply company that he though will have it, and to do it the next day (ie. because they have the same closing time).This took at most 5 minutes, but left enough of an impression that I thought I would make a public note of it. Its the way business used to be, and should continue to be done. Kinda reminds me of a scene from an old B&W movie (dont remember the name) where the Macys Santa was telling customers that some items would be better purchased at Gimbels, the competition.

Well Im definitely never coming back here again. Aside from the terrible customer service which included snide remarks after waiting a while to be attended when I finally get help the employees didnt even seem to care to help. When someone finally came to help me they even made me feel stupid for asking a question and made me feel as if I was a bother. A man helping me practically made me want to leave the store. I dont advise anyone to come to this store because my experience was beyond pitiful. In my opinion the management or the corporate office or someone should do something about these employees. Maybe a training in customer service could help. Ive been putting off writing this review for about a week or so because I keep forgetting but I finally got around to it after my neighbor reminded me.

They have very knowledgeable and helpful staff and reasonable prices.

This is the first time I have ever posted a review...and I am only doing so because I hope to spare even one person from having to be treated the way the owner of Davidson Plumbing in Paramus NJ, treated me!The owner, Emil, is the most irritable, angry, rude sales person I have ever met. I put up with it at first because I thought maybe he was having a bad day and/or maybe he is just a cranky old man.Besides the constant negative attitude and condescending way he spoke to me (and his employees and the people I heard him on the phone with), he said I didnt need a part to go with a shower head that I purchased. He was wrong and I had to go back for two additional parts that same day. Fortunately for me Emil wasnt there when I returned. The other staff helped me get the two parts that I need. They were very nice and friendly. I also ordered two faucets when I was first there with Emil. Emil in front of me called and confirmed with his supplier that he would get both faucets in the time frame that I was looking for. Emil was condescending and rude most of the time. Ironically I thought he became somewhat less rude when I asked his opinion on the shower head.A week later, I went to pick up the faucets (after receiving a call from them) and while I was there was told that Emil forgot to order one of the faucets. When Emil realized he forgot to order it, he took off while grumbling under his breath. He came back with an open box which he said contained the same faucet that I order but not the handles. I quickly looked thru the box with another very pleasant employee but never saw the faucet. When Emil return, I told him I was uncomfortable taking an open box and asked that he do me a favor and make sure all of the pieces were there and that I would take it when the handles came in. He first said it wasnt opened then quickly realized it was. He then took a fit. It was nothing like I have ever seen before in a store. He had the audacity to say he wasnt going to take this (what ever this is) then continued on a rant and walked away and refused to help me. He acted as if I was accusing him of something. I was kind of in shock. He wasnt going to take it?! He wasnt going to let me buy the open box? What? The guy who screwed up twice on an order is yelling at me? Shouldnt I be the one who was upset? Which I wasnt! I was disappointed but not upset. I should add that while Emil was ranting he complained that I asked too many questions regarding the shower head during my initial visit there. Ironically, up to that point he had said he didnt remember me. Although he did admit that he forgot to place the order.(Regarding the shower head, I asked him for a recommendation - which I took - and if I need any additional parts.)After he walked away throwing his hands up in the air, I left with my one very expensive faucet. Im still kicking myself for not returning it then and there. I couldnt believe what was happening, I already paid for it and just wanted out.I went directly to GPS in Hawthorne and got the faucet I wanted with next day delivery services. The atmosphere at GPS was night-and-day different then it was with Emil at Davidson. I also got the same faucet for less at GPS than what Davidson Plumbing was going to charge me. I didnt question the prices in either store.I know I was partially to blame for the error because I didnt look closely at the receipt, but my issue is not with the errors but how I was treated by the owner during and afterwards.I should mention that all of the other staff at Davidson, that I met, during my three visits there where very friendly and at the end quietly apologetic.Caveat Emptor!Note: Im assuming Emil is the owners name. One of the staff told me his name and confirmed he was the owner as I was leaving.

I bought 2 very expensive faucets for a bathroom. I never installed or open the boxes and they did not allow me to return them. I spend thousands as I bought bath fixtures for 3.5 bathrooms. I cant believe they would not allow me to return. They said I waited to long before returning so they will not take it back. I would pay a restocking fee but they would not do it. So I have faucets worth over $600 that are collecting dust. I will never shop there again.
