Whew - on vacation, we finally found a great coffee shop in the area. On day one, I struck out. On day two, I struck out…. again. Finally my wife suggested this place (did I mention she’s the brains of our operation) and it was fantastic. We both had lattes and they were great, and I am looking forward to doing some pour overs tomorrow morning with the beans we bought today. Super nice shop and atmosphere - will be back for sure!!!!!

Good espresso. Good food. Below average customer service. I’ve visited twice because my initial impression was that I may have just caught a barista in a bad mood on the wrong day. The shop is well decorated and the atmosphere is nice besides the negativity of the standoffish staff.

I had a friend order for me they gave me a blended iced coffee very good except no sugar in it though I think it is because my friend did not know you had to add it. I am very sad they close at 4 pm is my only issue with them I always want a cup but I work till 4 pm so they end up being closed.

So disappointed! I made a special trip out here since I knew they roasted their own beans. The store itself is nice enough, and the staff are very friendly. The drip coffee, though, was very bitter and vinegary-tasting. Im not sure if I got a bad cup or what, but I didnt even finish it and didnt buy any beans after that. Ill find another roaster.

My husband and I were walking downtown a week ago. We popped in to this coffee shop where their were mask signs everywhere, but not a single patron wearing one. There was no one in line to get coffee and not a single employee in sight. We waited for a few minutes and then a tall man came from behind the counter from the back room. His first words were to offer us a mask to wear, from behind his adequate plexiglass barrier and his own mask, while we stood away from the counter/bar. I, who can not wear a mask due to health reasons, politely declined and stated that I could not use his mask and would not take it from his hand either. He engaged in a small argument about “must wear a mask” and “he didn’t care that I couldn’t wear a mask” in this establishment. Again, the other patrons who were playing games at their well spaced out tables, visiting with their table guests and more were NOT wearing masks. He refused to serve us without a mask and we declined to further the conversation as we were 1. Irritated that he would put a person at risk without any medical knowledge of why a person would decline based on medical needs. 2. Irritated that we felt singled out in this instance where the “policy” was being enforced on us, who did not intend to stay, but just order coffee and leave. 3. That we were spoken to rudely for not complying to begin with.I am a principal person, and I would have been willing to ask my husband to order for me while I waited outside, but the mishandling of the entire situation was unnecessary. We wanted to support local, and it is unfortunate that we couldn’t. Customer service points =0

Living in Dallas Texas Im somewhat spoiled having a lot of artisan coffee shops nearby and Im usually very critical of small town coffee selections.Amavida is definitely the best coffee shop and roaster in Panama City and maybe even in the panhandle. I would even say they rival some of my favorite shops and roasters in Dallas! They have a wide selection of drinks and especially espresso based drinks. They use high quality beans that have very distinct notes. All in all its a very high quality experience.Im really glad to see this sort of establishment in my hometown!

Some of the best roasts Ive ever had, and thats saying a lot. I had my absolute best cup of coffee in tbe Dominican Republic and Amavida comes close. Coffee is smooth, not a hint of bitter, or burn. Location is cute, quaint, local favorite, masks r required unless seated, eating/drinking and 6 between tables. Outside seating available, near the downtown harbor. Its become my and husbands fav spot for breakfast! Truly appreciate ♥ Amavidas committment to the health and safety of our community!

I rarely post reviews but felt the current 4.7 rating was completely off base and wanted to warn anyone who, like us, drove out of the way to come. When we arrived, the only option was drip coffee because the espresso machine and steamer was broken. We then ordered food- and they were out of biscuits and offered English muffins to replace it. We waited.. and waited.. then received the wrong order.. and waited again for our food. I didn’t think the food, coffee, or staff was worth the experience. I would not come here again. I hope they can make some alterations to provide a quality community coffee house.

My bf and I wanted coffee so we ventured over to The Pour, but they were closed. So I googled “coffee near me” and besides Panera and Starbucks this was the only craft coffee nearby. So we took the trek over the bridge and the drive was more than worth it! The vanilla latte my bf got was perfectly constructed, smooth to taste, with a beautiful heart design. I was so worried my matcha latte would be too sweet because that’s usually always an issue, but it was sweetened ever so lightly and made my heart smile. Lol. I swear I’ve never been so happy with a coffee place in a long time! Best coffee around! We will be coming back on our next visit.

If youre willing to wait about 5 minutes, you can get get a reserve coffee as a pour over, when you do this your taste buds will be in heaven as they pick through all the different notes of it. If you havent had a pour over before, do yourself a favour and get one. They also host a variety of different teas, if coffee isnt your forté.

Best coffee Ive ever had in the US. Cool little shop with seating indoors and out. Board games line one wall making it a fun place to enjoy your coffee. I got a white mocha and it was %1000 better than that big name coffee shop. The cafe au lait was refreshing and tasted fresh and light. The barista was the plainest thing in the shop. I dont think he smiled once while I was there. Tbh I didnt care and still tipped him because he made a mean cup of coffee.
