James auto did a fantastic job on repairing my 2006 mini cooper. It needed a lot of suspension work due to a auto accident. They are top of the line mechanics that know what they are doing and very quick on the repairs. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I strongly recommend that you try them out,. James and his team delivered top notch service for my 2010 Camaro. The technician even invited me back to ride with him on a test drive so I could see first hand and explain issues with car that need to be fixed. The best part was that they gave me a loaner vehicle for the time my car was in the shop, no repair shop I know does that! I would recommend them for any auto repairs and they are reasonably priced!

We were on vacation from St. Louis, MO to PCB. My car was serviced a day before we departed. The car was pulling and very hard to control while driving, especially on the highway. This made for a long and stressful trip.I didn’t feel safe returning to St. Louis without having my car looked at. I called James at 1pm on the Friday before we were leaving, 08/14/20. James took my car for a drive with me in it. He identified the issues.James and his office staff and mechanics stayed late. He was able to have the part delivered, installed and realigned my car. We left at 8am the next morning and made it safely back to St. Louis.I cannot say enough about James and his staff. He is a kind, fair and honest person. And we fell in love with Buddy!Thank you for the excellent service! We are returning to PCB in August and I have James’ card with me.

James usually knows what’s wrong before he even sees my car, this time was no exception. I brought my 2006 car in because the break lights were on all the time.he told me there is a button that usually only lasts 12 years. On opening my drivers door, he picked up two small pieces from my floor board and said “this is part of it, and here’s another part”. I was in the Lords graces that day, as James told me they had accidentally ordered that part already.He replaced the part in abut 30-min, and had me on my way, after a very reasonable bill.If you are looking for a mechanic that knows what they are doing, honest, and warranties their work (2 years on parts), you can’t go wrong with James’ Auto, that’s why he’s the only one that works on my, and my family’s, cars for more than a decade now.

James correctly diagnosed an obscure brake issue which had disabled my 05 Lexus RX 330. They towed it to their garage and in two days found & corrected the issue. We have made two out of town trips this month and our car drives like new. Kudos to the whole team at James’s Auto Center.

I took a vehicle owned by my company Prentice Thomas & Associates to James auto for an alternator replacement, not only did they diagnose the problem within minutes of my arrival but they were opened one half hour before all the other shops in town, they then ordered the part and made the repair within an hour. Customer service and work quality was top-notch, and they even have a friendly pup to keep you company while you wait, tell Buddy Ill bring him some paper to chew on if we ever need to come back!

When the air conditioning system failed on my F150, I was told that only the dealer could do the repairs needed. Nobody wants to go to the dealer for service! I called James auto service and they said they did the kind of repairs I needed all the time.They took my truck in that same day! Three days later I picked it up fully repaired at a reasonable price.Bottom line, I’m extremely pleased with the service James Auto gave me, and I’ll definitely use them again!

I’ve been taking my car to James for about 8 years now. I often have to travel long distance at a moments notice, and need to depend on them when that time comes. The one thing I don’t worry about is having car trouble. I may bring the car in for a specific reason, but they always do due diligence and let me know if they find something I was unaware of. I trust them, they’ve kept me safe and running for these past 8 years.

I have nothing but great things to say about James and Anna. The whole team they have there are A1. They have always gone out of their way to help with what ever they could. Each time I or my wife go there, we get a full explanation of what is wrong and how they are going to fix the problem. What is even better is they have cars to give us while ours are being worked on. HOW AWSOME IS THAT. Once my car was broken down in the parking lot at Home Depot, and they came over and got me going.If you need work done on your vehicle I can think of no better place to go in Panama City.

Took my car to a local dealership because I had a leak in my trunk which got to my battery causing electrical damage. I bought my car from them a few years prior so I was thought they would do there best to help me out but i was wrong, they tried to charge me over $6k!!! Saying I had to get a new body harness and a whole bunch of over things. Needless to say I declined and had my car towed to James Auto, I knew he would be honest and tell me what the problem was. The next day I got a call from James Auto telling me what the problem was and how much it would be to fix it. Lets just say it wasnt even a fraction of what the dealership was trying to charge me. When I went to pick my car up James took me for a test drive to show me everything was working and ran test in the car to show me there were no electrical issues. Theres a reason James Auto has been in business for so long, he does honest and good work and wont bs you. This is the only place I will take my car from now on and I would recommend him to anyone thats having car problems.Thanks again!!

Furthermore, they have consistently provided me with a loaner vehicle, which is very important and helpful to me, being a single person. Excellent! Excellent! James Auto Center certainly earn 5 STARS. I drive a BMW and after traveling to Panama City from Atlanta my car started to give me unknown issues. The fact I was only in town for a few days and not familiar with any local mechanics in Panama City I was referred to James Auto Center. From my initial contact to the shop speaking with Paul who was excellent the great experience continued. Never have I experience the owner and lead mechanic test drive/diagnostic scan my vehicle with me to share and discuss the problem. The service was SUBPERB with an excellent turnaround time and BMW certified parts ordered and replaced. To top it off I was provided a loaner vehicle no charge to me. My car runs great! I highly recommend James Auto Center!

I took my Ford F-250 Diesel Super Duty to James Auto Center because I could not get satisfaction at Cook Whitehead Ford Dealership. James and his staff were professional and made me feel right at home. James explained everything that was going on with my vehicle. Olde 98 Tire and Auto are the better option and they are so much friendlier.

I have been taking my Jeep Wrangler to James Auto Center for a number of years now. They keep my baby running like a top! They take a lot of pride in doing it right. It is very comforting knowing that my Jeep is dependable and will not leave me out in the middle of nowhere with a mechanical problem. I also like the way James Lee fixes it like it is his. You just cant find a better place for car maintenance than James Auto Center.

We were vacationing in Panama City Beach when we started having car trouble. I called James Auto Center and they were able to get us in immediately. They were great! Knowing we were due to check out and leave the next morning, they ran their diagnostics, found the problem. They were having some problems finding the part needed and let us know that they had a car they could loan us to go back to where we were staying. Fortunately they did not stop looking for our part and was able to repair the car. The staff is great, we were treated well and they repair was done correctly. The best part is that it did not cost us an arm and a leg and the warranty is awesome also. Being Napa certified, it enables us to be able to take it to our regular mechanic if the part fails (which I do not see happening). I would highly recommend James Auto Center for any car repairs!

Dishonest..not trustworthy. Took wifes mini van to diagnose brake problem. they told us $500 dollars to remove, n repair brake line on bck left and $700 to repair both back brake lines. I took it to another shop and they repaired for $117. we are Christians and believe they will reap what they sow.

I found this site by reading reviews now I want to give mine. I was so pleased with the knowledge, service and care I received from this business. The company I work for encourages us to give 1% more in what we do with great customer service and I am here to say thats what I found with this company. I was taken through every step of my vehicles needs ( yes both car and truck broke down in a week and a half ) I learned so much of what I can do to care for them. They are both older vehicles but I want to keep them. I am a female who needed someone to care and work with me. To sum it up I now have an auto place that will know me and my vehicles one I trust to help me keep them as long as I can. Thank you James Auto Center!

Well I took a half day off at work after speaking with the old lady at the desk, making and appointment, but for some reason they neglect to leave out the most important piece of information, that its 130$ for them to diagnose/look /do nothing and take your 130$, and they were going to try to take on work that they dont specialize in .. terrible experience, just fyi, its 130$ for them to look at your vehicle

My Dad has been taking our familys vehicles to James for as long as I can remember, Ive recently moved back to the area and have an 06 Altima that was due for some service. The car has just crossed 100k miles and had a warped brake rotor so I was expecting a hefty bill. The guys at James did a thorough inspection, replaced the rotors, managed to re use the pads and recommended some additional service, no pressure for extra parts or scamming, just friendly recommendations. This was my first personal experience with James Auto, they will be our go to garage for as long as were here.

James is the consummate professional. He backs his work with a warranty you cannot beat. I recommend this place to everyone who wants their vehicles to just work, not become work.

I had an ongoing problem and two different places drew a blank on how to fix it and advised me that the electrical system was working as it should even though it was clearly having trouble starting when hot, even refusing to start on 2 ocassions and the battery was good. One shop even told me it would require 3 days for a complete electrical system drain and diagnosis. James and his team got it in and diagnosed and fixed the problem in a few hours. Great job, highly recommend!

I chose this particular shop because of the positive reviews I saw on the internet. So, instead of shopping around, I headed straight over to that place. Dont get me wrong, people that work there know what they are doing, but they charge you an arm and a leg for their service. To be exact, most shops will charge you diagnostics fee, but they will credit it back to you if you choose them to do the work. James Auto Center wouldnt. I had a bad water pump, so to replace it, youd have to take the serpentine belt off, and it should be as one labor charge. Instead, James Auto Center charged me separately for each step as if I came in, told them to replace the belt, left, came back, told them to replace the pump, left. So, according to an estimate I received from another shop, I overpaid around $300. If you have plenty of money to spare, then take your car there - and theyll do a good job; if not, shop around before committing to this particular place - and youll be surprised how much money you can save.

Very good people and really appreciate them being so I informative about our Dodge Journey, the problem was fixed immediately and back on the road within a hour. They also gave us heads up on a few other problems which we truly appreciate. We will be back, thanx James and company.

I have a Dodge sprinter van. The ABS lights had come on. James got the problem diagnosed and fixed in a couple of hours. Very professional prompt service from the whole crew at James Auto Center.

Brought my 03 lancer in because my belt kept squealing. They had me pull my car up front and saw that just the belt was loose. He went and grabbed some tools and tightened it right there for no charge. What a great experience.

First class team at James Auto. A friends car broke down and was looked at by James Auto Centre. He was given an estimate but decided to not fix it but trailer it back home. I showed up with a trailer and the owner and wife and two mechanics pushed the car onto the trailer, helped secure the car and didnt charge me. Customer service is incredible. Id recomend this shop to anyone and would trust them 100%.

Paul and Mark were very pleasant and professional. My waterpumps bearring broke which caused major $$$$$ to fix. After consulting with my mechanic, the job should have cost $2500. It cost me $3300. Give or take a dollar. James got my car fixed in 3 & 1/2 days and got me back on the road so I could get home. They also cleaned my headlights which were in terrible shape, discolored and foggy, at no charge. They did other things to make sure my car was in good shape. AAA Recommended James Auto Care and so do I!!

Thanks to you and your crew Please let Tim know the Chevy dealer (Tommy T.) verified his diagnosis of bad injectors, and I got it to them in time to take advantage of the warranty extension. Tim researched and found the service bulletin on the warranty extension, and made certain I knew about it. I had only ONE MORE DAY on the warranty when Tommy Thomas got the vehicle. Whew!! This saved me several thousand dollars. Needless to say, I am very pleased. This has solidified the partnership we have in keeping my 2001 Chevy P/U in top shape. Thanks to you and your crew

James Auto Center is the place to go if you are in need of quality service at an affordable price!While I was changing out the spark plugs and spark plug wires on my 2001 Saturn SL I came across a plug that was seized in the cylinder. I ended up breaking the plug in the cylinder, so I finished up with the spark plug wires and got my car towed by Home Town Towing, who I have used three times this year and I would highly recommend.I informed the gentleman at the front desk, Ron I believe his name was, about my situation and that I am about to move to Minot, North Dakota. He told me that it will cost just over $100 for them to diagnose the problem and he will give me a call, I told him no worries to go ahead and do the work needed as long as it is under $500.The next day I received a call that my care was finished, I ended up paying just shy of $300. The work done on my car was the removal of the broken spark plug, rethreading of the cylinder, the replacement of all four plugs, the removal of debris that fell into my cylinder from the broken plug, an oil change with oil suited for the winter in North Dakota, and a list of concerns that may arise with my car such as the cooling fan not kicking on and the battery needing to be replaced due to low amperage.

If you want a very bad experience this is the place to go. How do you go into to place with an intent to get your oil change and they bring you out a 1200.00 plus invoice of things that are not needed. James automotive is by far the rudest and crooked place for automotive repairs that I have found in the pan handle of Florida. Stay away from this automotive repair place unless you have money to throw way toward greed and crookedness.In response to:This person is a former employee. He was released for inadequate skill level and poor attitude.There is some truth to this. Yes, I am a former employee. I was not released for inadequate skill level and my poor attitude. My resume speaks for itself. I have more achievements and certifications beyond the automotive field. This is the only job that I quit without a backup plan. I put my family at risk just leaving like that. It was worth it. I learned some life lessons. I learned not to trust management, and to trust your own research. I am very thankful for the lessons learned working for this establishment. I wish them the best. I hope that no employee has to go through what I went through working for this establishment. Truth be told. I do not tolerate my work being sabotaged by my employer. No one needs to go through that. I promote safe and positive working environments. I wish that I could take down this post because of truth. I dont respect the owners dishonesty in the response. Hopefully, things are better for this establishment. Professional business. I was 35 miles north of Panama City Beach and my car begins to run hot and the AC was blowing HOT air. I was traveling with my 92 year old mother, my sister, and a friend. Needless to say, I began to panic. We got to the condo but knew we could not go anywhere. I began a search for AAA/NAPA garage since my brother-in-law told me to specifically look for a NAPA garage. James Auto Center is NAPA and AAA certified! I had AAA tow it in on Monday morning and we were on the beach that afternoon, they even loaned me a car so I could go back to the condo and check on my mom! I was given a full review of the problem and an estimate. James, his wife (her dad, too), Paul, and the head mechanic were great! The business is clean and friendly! I highly recommend them. They are about 15 miles into town from the Hathaway Bridge! I will go there again if I ever need help!

If I could put zero stars, I would. I called to ask if they had the software to program my keyless entry keyfob. The guy, Paul, who answered the phone was very rude and talked to me in a very condescending manner. He said he would charge me $200 to program the keyfob. I went to the dealer, got it done for $85 and the people there were MUCH nicer and professional.
