Good fishing gear varying prices so you dont have to buy the most expensive

These people are amazing, I’m no fisherman but they helped me tremendously!!

08/26/2021 6:00PMIn store to buy a new reel waited while associate at reel counter completed a long conversation about fishing and golf game. I finally went and picked reel from shelf to find price. Not labeled I went over, the other customer asked did I find what I was looking for. I asked associate the price he told me to look in the cabinet price is on the reel. I handed him the reel and left. Will never buy from this business. Suggest anyone and everyone go to Howell Tackle for service and appreciation for one’s business.

Half Hitch is awesome! A locally, family owned business we love to support! They have all of your fishing and boating gear plus a complete hardware store that has everything you need for home projects, cleaning, gardening, pest and weed control, really anything you could need. Jake was cool and helpful, the other staff were not. Great selection, way better than anywhere Ive visited. I got this Cuban yo yo for hand fishing for $2. If you come to the beach, get a cart with big grey/orange/whatever tires like in my pic. Youll be glad you did when strong people are bogged down on the beach with their black plastic wheeled carts. Also, the green net is better for catching bigger fish.

The cart had a faulty tire, I tried to use the cart twice and both times it was wobbly and one tire went flat. I still had to get the cart back but was told the other tire was used. Also, I was faulted for UPS breaking the box apart during shipment. I used the cutting board but nothing else was my fault, still I am charged 150 dollars of my refund. Also blamed for tires making marks on axel.Update..Dont try to make it sound like you did everything right. Total scam selling those to people knowing that people have a problem with the tires. But hey thats a free 150 everytime right.

They have a wide variety of merchandise. We came in for toilet repair parts but enjoyed looking around at the camping and grilling merchandise. They also have a wide variety of patriotic items, flags and flag pole kits, decorative lighting ect.

Great tackle store/hardware store. Plenty of selection and inventory good selection of reels, rods, combos, hardware terminal tackle, frozen and artificial baits. Attire, shoes, sandles, marine hardware, coolers nets, etc. They also have great selection of reel and rod repair parts as well as repair services.Always going to stop in anytime I am in town.

Its a good place to get your tackle everything you need for the salt water its also a great place to get all your ice you need and the people are great help if you need any kind of help its a huge store youll love it if you go there when people are great

Awesome tackle store/hardware store. A must hit when u visit PCB!!

Generally, it is a great place to purchase any fishing gears. However, my experience with this store was not good. In April 2021 during my fishing trip from Georgia, I tried to purchase 5 dozen of live shrimps. Although I asked for 5 dozens and payed for 5 dozens, when I check the bait bucket after I got back to the car, it was barely 3 dozens. Furthermore, these shrimps were so small (size of a pinkie). At least for live baits, I would go some other stores.

Ive shopped here a lot. almost every trip my family and I have taken to Panama City Beach we have stopped here for tackle, fishing poles and reels. they usually have great deals on the Penn reels

Very neat that this is a WELL stocked Ace hardware AND Half Hitch fishing supply. I got a fuel siphon to get fuel out of my waverunner tank and about $150 in shirts, rash guards and stuff my wife found that we needed.The staff was friendly and didnt just tell me where things were, they took me to it. THAT is service!

I frequent this place for many hardware needs. The best thing thats happened to UGL in a long time.

Russ was a great help. I had been calling several tackle shops to find a replacement handle for my sons reel that broken during an accident with no help. Most that I spoke to were rude and dismissive. But not Russ not only did he stay on the phone with me for 30 minutes looking for the part he even said I finally got it. I drive 45 minutes to get there and I was treated with kindness and dignity. My son passed away last month and I wanted to take his rod and reel fishing 1 more time in his memory. Russ made it happen. His supervisor even discounted the part for me. Thank you to the 2 wonderful people at half hitch that went above and beyond to make this memorable fishing tournament day a success with my sons favorite reel.

They have added an ACE Hardware to the back part of the store. Now you can get tackle, bait and hardware at the same location. Kinda of a one stop store. Larger more organized tackle area.

Tom can be grumpy, but he has the storys best interest at heart. Cashiers were personable and efficient!!

Had a trip with my friends. We spent over 900 in 3 days. Poor services. Been to many different places for fishing but this is poor service. Zach was very disrespectful all the times. I feel sorry for his team mates they were good and polite. But we were unlucky that we always ran into him. Wish Half Hitch Tackle the best but having Zach on Board isn’t the best.Thank you,

They will not allow you to buy a fishing license in person due to Covid. There were three associates behind the counter and two customers including myself. I was wearing a mask and we were separated by a plexiglass barrier. It was told to me that groups come into the store and dont social distance for fishing licenses. Seriously? They at least handed me a card with the information needed to purchase on line.
