My husband and I went to get flu shots today. There is something off with the pharmacy at this location, not sure if they are not trained properly. Initially they told me my medical insurance was terminated (I just used it yesterday so it wasnt) and they said they didnt take my husbands insurance,VA Healthcare, (checked the website before and they said they did). They also had no idea about the $5 of $20 shopping pass they advertised with a flu shot.
Bad quality service. A patient in pain and they won’t administer to me because “it’s close to closing time” but it wasn’t even close to the CLOSING TIME ITSELF 7:20pm and their close time is 8pm. It just shows the staff working there could care less if your arm falls off as long as they’re making their check. Lost a costumer. Walgreens however was beyond kind. Head there if you want to be treated decent. Come to CVS if you want to waste your time with rude pharmacist.
I will use Walgreens from here on out, employees are just plain lazy. Customers waiting to check out have no choice but to wait and use the self check out because the employees are to useless to use a cash register. The management needs to get their stuff together and fire the lazy and useless employees and hire people that are going to treat the customers as an important commodity.
Needed some bandaged, ointments, tape for securing gauze pads for my first aid kit. Store has changed inside with new signage, but In my opinion old signage was easier to read and see. Store was quite busy with shoppers, which I think is good. I did notice all checkout positions were enclosed with dividers, and everyone I saw were masked up. I have used CVS for many years, and find the staff I always kind and considerate, in addition to being knowledgeable about the location, and where the items in question are found. The store is located downtown Palmetto at 10th & 8 st, across from Checkers, and the driveway taking you to Publix Grocery. This is really a busy intersection, do caution is advised.
This is about cleanliness, or lack there of... I was forced to use a key from the front register to unlock the restroom. A key which I brought inside the restroom with me. I then returned the key to the cashier, who touched it with BOTH hands before hanging it up, and proceeded to ring up and bag groceries for a different customer. The cashier didnt even blink, touching the foul restroom key, then touching groceries. No sanitizer, no wipes, no nothing. Absolutely atrocious. And all the manager could offer was that its company policy to lock the bathrooms... So its company policy to wear a mask, lock the bathrooms, but no policy in place for the sterilization of the bathroom key, as to not contaminate GROCERIES???!!! 🤮
Pharmacy staff is rude as helllllllllll.
They have everything I need, and the staff is awesome
I truly struggle with this pharmacy! Every time I I find myself here, I wait a very long time for my prescription. Once, I stood in line for an hour. After 20 minutes of waiting, I forced myself to stay in the line just to see how longit would actually take. Also, it bothers me that they are closed on Sundays, but they don’t post their hours on the drive through window. It’s a silly thing really, but overall I feel it’s a very unprofessional pharmacy.
I always pick up my prescription here and everyone here is nice and helpful! Especially the pharmacist!
I made an appointment online for a vaccination and when I arrived the pharmacist had no clue that they even had appointments. I had confirmed with my insurance that it would be covered 100% if ran through medical. The pharmacist kept telling me that it was impossible for them to do since they aren’t a minute clinic. After 30 minutes wasted I went home. I called my insurance on Monday and they assured me it can be ran through medical. I just went to a different location and they ran it through no problem. When I said “it has to go through medical” the staff said, yes most vaccinations do..
One star is too generous! This CVS pharmacy is awful. Poor service, rude and dirty. I dropped off 3 prescriptions at 4:08 and was told to come back in one hr. I came back in 1.5 hrs. still not ready. I was told to wait. So, I did. Then I was told to wait longer, it was almost closing time at 6pm. I was told that the system was locked and I could not be checked out on their computer system. This was the store manager. The assistance pharmacy manager was rude and was totally overwhelmed. I said I am not leaving without my prescriptions since I was told to wait. The bottom line is that they figured out how to get me checked out at 6:26pm. Never again will I step foot in this store. I plan on complaining to the General Manager etc. These employees do not care!!! Go someplace else....ANY PLACE is better than CVS in Palmetto....
Beware of this CVS. In one month this store has conveniently lost two separate narcotic scripts that I personally hand delivered to the store to be filled. They have no record of them at all in my record. One was a cough syrup and the most recent was pain medication. Pharmacist wants to blame me for maybe just forgetting to drop the most recent one off. I wanted to think the first one was maybe just an error but this most recent one seems more then a coincidence to me
I come to this store only for the pharmacy. I live in Ellenton and this is way out of my way, but I love the staff. They are so friendly and go out of their way to help you if your having insurance issues.
This is an amazing place to shop, nice people and good deals.
Helpful to me, pretty quick pick up.
I have had nothing but trouble with this CVS. If I return to FL next year switching stores. Waited 25 minutes in the drive thru tonight, only 2 cars in front of me. And then found out the prescription they said they had over the phone was a lie. Have to order it. Its not the first time that has happened. The text I get never match when I get to the store. Surprise I gave it a 2. Done with this store.
Kind and professional. Nice staff, a lot to buy!
Every time Ive ever tried to fill a scrip, from painkiller to antibiotics, they have to order, or are out of stock, etc. At least 12 times in a row, 3-4 different meds, over the course of 3 years they are unable to fill my order. Today, dentist prescribed simple antibiotics and they dont have those either.Maybe they should go to the Walgreens right across the street, theyre always in stock.
Kind of dirty. Employees are rarely at the counter. Feel like Im inconveniencing then when I buy something.
Fast, efficient, and personal. Always good prices
Great store and awesome pharmacy staff
By far the worst pharmacy Ive ever had to deal with. Incompetent, unhelpful staff, completely useless. I wish my insurance would switch back to Walgreens.
So far so good with this CVS. A few years ago it was a bad experience, but whatever changes have taken place it has made a big impression on me...
