After falling 2 months behind on my bill during a covid-19 shut down, they hit me with a huge extravagant termination fee when all I wanted was to fulfill my contract. I was given the option to turn my system back on; however I would have had to sign another lengthy contract with and pay all theyre fees all over again. They do not care for small business or for the people they serve theyre only after money. No surprise there. Say no to ADT find a lawn sign on the web and be done with it.

I’ve been trying to cancel ADT services for an hour and counting. I keep on getting transferred from one person to another. As soon as I say I want to cancel, somehow the phone call gets disconnected. I call again, go through the same process and phone call gets dropped again. Coincidentally, there’s no record that I called 3 times already. Customer service is absolutely horrible!

AVOID this company. I have had ADT for now 8 months and have had issues with the system the entire time. Since getting it they have sent techs out 6 times with the same song and dance of clear you schedule for the 4 hour window, tech is new looks at things makes minor adjustments, says it is all good leaves and 2 days later system is having issues again. Find a company that specializes in their products and cares about customer satisfaction not just installs commodity hardware charging 10x what it cost them. If the system worked all would be good but that fact they attempt to rip you for what they can and then don’t stand behind their system is an issue. Oh and their little wireless command systems are horrible can’t support a 5,000 square foot home. If you are paying good money for your security and alarm system find a company that cares.

After being dumped by Spectrum Security Systems, ADT seemed like the best alternative. I had to pay $105 for a technician to come to my house. Allegedly to be refunded if I took the security system and contracted for three years. It took me four months to get the refund. Now we have had a sensor fall off the door. It will not stay up when we try to re-attach it. I called ADT and was told they would send the tape to re-affix the sensor. That was three weeks ago. On Monday a rep told me that even though we have the service contract, there would be a $25 charge for the tech to come out. Today after still not receiving the tape, I was told the charge would be $121 plus tax. Find another alarm company. The install charge was $1250 and $70 a month. What a total. Rip off!

Make sure you do not allow a company now linked with adt called defender to install otherwise you are stuck with 3 to 4 month installments when corporate can do 36 month installment

Scam scam scam. I have never written a bad review before but I am beyondddd mad at the service they presented. First day... came to my home decided to do adt services signed a contract in which I doubled checked seeing what I signed up for... (Big mistake) a day and a half later decided not to do ADT was in that (three day window) to get my money back. HAHAHA nope completely lied to me stole my money and I’ve always felt sketchy about it from the start don’t do it.

We have their service for 1 year now and we have nothing but problems with their system. we get numerous false alarms due to faulty sensors. Every time we get a false alarm and ADT activate the police we end up with $100 bill from the police department. ADT came several times to fix the system and few days after they leave its bad again. Mind you, every time they send you a tech to fix it, you have to take time off work and wait for his majesty 4 hour window as they will not give you an exact time. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. DO NOT SIGN A 3 LEASE WITH THIS COMPANY

Garbage company. Garbage system. False alarms will cost you money leaving you to not even use the system. When you call to cancel after 3 years they say you are in a contract you were never aware of and charge you $200 to cancel. Will never use ADT again. Useless scam.

I am lucky that I listened to the recording before I committed to this service because they would of ripped me off, I was told one thing when we first started, then the recording said something else and then it hung up. When I called back, I got this song and dance oh your service will be 52 something if you want a wireless service and you have to have a land line I said I did, the price was the same, I cancelled the install and spoke with a manager who was a jerk for the word jerk, Anttwon, he said he will cancel the install but today the 9th I got an email confirming my tech to install on saturday. THIS IS B.S!!! this company is full of it and I will get my money back.. DONT USE THIS COMPANY

Terrible service. Almost impossible to cancel. I was billed for 2 months after I moved and cancelled the service. DO NOT USE THEM.I dont know if each office is independent or all national, but the overall service is terrible. Do Not Use.
