As prices continue to rise for various reasons price watching is a must and there are deals weakly here you should be paying attention to. We do our rounds weekly and have found that any given week Smart & Final is a must and this new location is right in our area and we are taking advantage of it!

Employees are great, be cautious of expired items. Ive seen things on shelf literally close to 2 years past expiration date. I wouldnt buy meet here at this location. I bought 2 slabs of vacuum sealed ribs, put in my freezer for a couple weeks, thawed one out, not the kindest smell, thawed the next one the next day, same. Just be cautious. Would it kill them to sell yellow bananas instead of brown
Back in the day( 20 years ago ) when i was on a very tight budget .i use to go to smart & final on date palm . was so happy when they came to Palm Desert. Knowledgeable staff, friendly, great prices, they help local food bank.Community. Well ran, well managed 👍 thank you!

Rudest employees ever! There were at least 10 of us in line at the single open cash lane, so the cashier called for another lane to open. When the man (Frank) came to open the lane he opened it at the opposite end of the store and did not invite the next person in line, but rather waited for the fastest person to go running over there!
I miss Smart and Final...we are now in Utah, and sadly there are none!!!!🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

One of our favorite stores, it is large so never crowded. Great prices and a very good selections form the basics to bulk purchases too. Lots of custom coffees and nuts etc by the pound. A large fruit and vegetable area, and good fresh parties and bagels in the bakery. The service is always excellent too!

This was my first time in this store. Good prices on snack boxes. Not glamorous, kind of dirty and harsh florescent lights. Maybe some items have Smart prices, but I have no idea what is Final or Extra.
Generally a lot of expired items so watch out!!! Watch for bad produce as well. While some of the employees are great others are rude and incredibly disrespectful.

Shopping was great and eazy.The store was clean and the isles well marked to make shopping easy.You can by by single amounts or by bulk.They had a huge ares well marked and easy to read price labels throughout S + F. Large areas for locally and organic fruits and vegetables.Employees were helpful, even carried my items to the car and loaded them into it.A great experience.
Wide selection of goods and variety of items that you can not find in normal grocery stores or supermarkets. Cuts of meat and portions and quantities that arent available at supermarkets as well. Very friendly and helpful staff. They do restock things rather quickly but only have a limited number of items on shelf for certain items. Doesnt feel like warehouse shopping more like a grocery store.
I was very surprised when I went to Smart & Final Palm Desert. Its a great store with an amazing array of products. I used to shop at the old Smart & Final Iris years ago when it was just a small restaurant supply store. The new Smart & Final is enormous. Everything is fresh, prices are very competitive. Now, I can get everything I need under one roof. Thanks Smart & Final!!!
Well stocked and plenty of social distancing, not a crowded store like some of those down the 111.
Cashier Tish was spectacular. The store has all the mexican foods I need to keep me happy like Corona beer, tortilla chips, hot sauce, chamoy, Limon Lays, and carne asada.

Convenient store, friendly staff. No bells and whistles, but you can get all the basics you need. Decent produce and the store brand products are pretty much top notch in my book.
Always great can get in and out easy. They have things l cannot find other places like vernors ginger ale. All the employees are helpful and go the extra mile always.
Would just like to say I love this store I come here from the high desert to buy my supplys at least Once a week or so and Dennis is amazing. He makes sure he Has my stuff in. My truck could not hold the amount of drinks I ordered and Dennis offered to help me out by Delivering them to me. He is a amazing guy. He goes the extra mile for his customers. we have been his customers sense he was in the palm spring store. when he left that store we followed him he takes care of the customers. the palm spring store never had my stuff there shelves were always empty so we went to palm desert where he was. this guy is great. thank you Dennis for going the extra mile for us.

Ok, I have been to this store several times and every time there is something on the shelves that are expired. Bread, milk, sour cream for some examples. Well, i went to management and spoke with Dennis about my concerns. He stated that it is because the new employees dont know what to look for and he would be taken a lot of his time if he checked everything on the shelves.Also, there was a rib roast on sale, the meat girl had no idea what she was looking for when were asked for help finding it. She could not find it, I looked and low and behold I found it. So, I purchased it, great price. Brought it home and opened the package, AND A HORRIBLE ROTTEN SMELL CAME FROM THIS MEAT I JUST BOUGHT.I will not be shopping here anymore.AND I WANT TO EMPHASIS HOW MUCH TO YOU ALL TO CHECK EXPIRATION DATES. YOU MAY BE BUYING EXPIRED ROTTEN FOOD!!!!
Excellent store, there only ever seems to be one register open no matter how many people are in line and staff sometimes seems bothered when asking for help. The store itself is great with good prices and wide selection.

S&F is a good choice to purchase a variety of foodstuffs and paper products in bulk. I buy my wastebasket trash bags here as its a terrific deal...better than Walmart! I shop the circle: Albertsons, Trader Joes, S&F, Aldis and Walmarket.This is my go-to market for a variety of things that Id pay much more for elsewhere. I indulge in an occasional Velveeta grilled cheese sandwich and the big V is priced lowest here. I purchase my Port Salut at TJs 😉 Also, during the holiday season S&F stocks great items for tamale making, including the large shiny silver stock pots. Also, the staff have consistently been helpful and Ive yet to shop in crowded aisles.

Decent grocery store. But, this is a Smart & Final Extra and not the regular old style Smart & Final. This is basically a grocery store like any other grocery store.
