Our new favorite place. We’ve lived here for 8 years and just discovered this place. Nice breakfast everything as ordered. The vibe is simple nothing fancy and food was good. I would be at 5 stars but a little slow on the service we did have to remind someone we were ready to order.
We decided to eat here, because it used to be the Palms Cafe. Seated right behind the hostess stand, we waited for 20 minutes before asking for our waitress. Our food came out barely above room temperature. I ordered their signature Biancasada omelet. It was much smaller than the image on the wall, and was barely above room temperature. Everyone elses food was also just above room temp. Our order was also incorrect. Our waitress, Jackie, was very nice but did not attend to us much. She did give us a discount for the mistake on our order, which was appreciated. We will not be coming back.
Great home made breakfast. Pumpkin pancakes were delicious
The food was alright, our server was very nice. It took a while to place our order and the restaurant had very few customers. I took away two stars because of the cleanliness of the restaurant which is so important during these times. Flies were flying around everywhere too🤪 Don’t know if we will visit again if we are in the area🤷🏽♀️
Wait time wasnt too bad at all (not like IHOP, with 1+ hr wait). Waitress was friendly and got our order correct. Checked on us enough times to feel good.
It was a great experience. Food was delicious.
Two stars only for the excellent food and the omelets. The let down was the syrup, it was so watered down made pancakes taste watery. It really did spoil the whole experience. Also they had a really long wait time from when we were seated to when our waitress came to our table. I got the chorizo omelet and my wife got French toast. We also got pancakes as they were famous for it. The downside was waiting to get the first bite with the syrup and French toast was so disappointing. The syrup was just so watered down, not sure how much they saved by watering it down. It didn’t have the sweetness to savor the food.Wouldn’t go back just cause of the syrup.
The staff is awesome and friendly and helpful. The food is yummy and mimosas can be bottomless!
Excellent food. Good services. Not bad on price either.
Awesome place to eat. The food was hot and delicious. The waitress is great and friendly
Best brunch place in the valley. Two thumbs up
The only reason they 2 stars is because the pancakes are good. But the service is horrible. Forgot to put in my order and it came out wrong twice
This place is a little hard to find, but is well worth it! The service was great and food was amazing. Very large and very delicious pancakes and burritos are what we got. We very much recommend them.Like I said, it is a bit hard to find. It is smashed between Trader Joes and Michaels the sign still says Palm desert cafe or something like that. If you come from the parking lot in front of Trader Joes, it is on the left.Anyway, we definitely recommend this place!
On our staycation in California at Marriott’s Desert Palm Villa went adventured out for breakfast somewhere new and we found a Diamond 💎 in the rough “Paradise Cove Cafe” it is a must eat!!! The staff was friendly and attentive and helpful. Our waitress Ana was amazing with great customer service. Ana suggested lots of great items off the breakfast menu and she was very attentive and she should be applauded for the great customer service and friendliness she provided! The establishment followed all COVID protocols and we felt very safe. We will definitely be back again and want to say thank you Ana and the rest of the staff for working during the current Coronavirus pandemic 😷 it’s appreciated!!!
Pancakes were great. Service was quick all staff was friendly. Food was delicious
Very good place to eat. Always clean and the food was good. I decided to try their Belgium waffle breakfast and it didnt disappoint.
Spot is kind of hidden next to the trader Joes. Solid comfort menu food with a very friendly staff. Had the chicken and waffles which were on point. Ill be back there again for sure
A true desert gem! Great prices, food, and service. My scramble was perfect and not overly dry like most places serve. The food is very much diner food which gives you a nice change from other places like Manhattan of the Desert.
Location - Located in a plaza around a grocery store and other stores, helps get a few things done in one trip.Venue - Clean chill place with indoor and outdoor seating for eating. A lil dated but well kept up.Food - Good portions served, great flavors, and everything tasted fresh.Prices - Avg fair prices across the board.Parking - Plenty of parking in the plaza.Service - Pretty good service all around.Overall cool place and worth checking.
I love this place! It’s the real McCoy! Food is impeccable: service is even better! I met the owner once- fabulous guy-One of the only places in town that I’m completely satisfied with the breakfasts, and lunches- chicken quesadillas- out of this crazy world! And outdoor seating six feet apart! Try the banana pancakes! They sell their mix - waffles... mmmmmmm all I can say is you will never be able to return to other places in town that are greasy spoons..You know a place is good when everyone seems so happy working there - and no one is complaining at all ever !!
Service was very slow even though it wasnt very busy. Food was great though! The outdoor patio seating is nice too.
Terrible service!!!! Ordered a VERY simple item of scrambled eggs and beans and it took over 40 minutes. The food is mediocre at best. I saw servers actually sitting down and chit chatting while we were waiting for our food. Even a hey sorry this is taking so long, let me check with the kitchen. would be nice. Will not be back or recommend to anyone.
Excellent service but don’t come for healthy living choices.
Avoid! Extremely slow service. 25 minutes until food order is taken, and even that was only after forcing the waiter to come to the table. Then a promise to get the food delivered in definitely less than 20 minutes. Waited for another 25 minutes, run out of time and had to leave hungry to avoid missing an appointment :(Terrible experience
The food here wasnt bad. They were very busy so service was a little slow.
I loved it, the Honey waffles and chicken was delicious also the pancakes
Server was polite and attentive but the food was just ok and I had to pick through my homestyle potatoes as some were completely burned. If I come again itll be solely for the banana nut pancakes which were delicious.
Horribly over priced, parking ridiculous priced, service was very poor. Not the fabulous restaurant from the 1970s!100% Awful!
The ambiance was good. The food was good. The server was sweet and attentive. A very pleasant experience.
Excellent breakfast but unfortunately they were out of hollandaise sauce so we couldnt get eggs benedict. Service was slow.
This place is a little gem. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. There are many comments about the syrup, its good and not watered down. The pancakes are really good, fluffy, and cooked really well. We tried the chicken fried steak, it was crispy and the gravy had good flavor. Our eggs were cooked perfectly. Im from SD so I thought the prices for the portions are really fair.
Omelette and waffles were delicious! Friendly service and reasonable price. Will return!
Nice experience! Great food and great service!
Was ignored for a larger table. Was told to sit, and we weren’t greeted. a gentleman just gave us waters and menus without saying anything. Sat for about 15 minutes when a larger table was sat and their order was immediately taken(it was just myself and another person). We didn’t even get our drink orders in. Wish I could give this place zero stars.
Good food. But always slow slow service
It was the worse place to eat. You have to be patient with the service and to get your food. The server never came by to refill drinks food took 45min to come out. The oder wasnt right at times us getting our food
Christina our server was as great as the food! We loved our specialty mimosas and burger and Benedict! Would definitely return! Xoxo Devin & Brad
Outdoor patio restaurants are very limited in our area this time of year. We were quite impressed with the welcoming attitude and happy nature of everyone we came into contact with. Tables were spaced out & all staff were practicing safe procedures. The food was delicious as well! My only suggestion would be is to add a few.more.fans to move air around. We with be Back!! Thank you!
A great experience super food and service, keep it up my friends.
Food was good. Server was great.
Nice outdoor seating. Ample portions and great service.
Absolutely terrible service !! Go somewhere else don’t waste your time or money at this place!! You will be disappointed !!
I usually eat here but today I’m disappointed I ordered pancakes and sausage for take out and the server decides it’s a good idea to put one pancake the sausage and then another pancake on top of the sausage ????
Absolutely love Paradise Cove! Their pancakes are the best in town, in my opinion. And their prices are very affordable. Yes, the syrup could use an overhaul though. I would love to see organic maple syrup other than the high fructose “table syrup” 99.99% of places serve. Their food is too good for that.
Nice full plates and friendly service glad to see small businesses like this .
Delicious, well prepared food, friendly service, and a pleasant patio. The pancakes were some of the best ever -- fluffy and flavorful. The surf and turf benedict was outstanding - one with smoked salmon and one with marinated steak. Next time I would just get the steak benedict as Im craving it just thinking about it but really they were both excellent. Oh, and my husband ordered the bottomless mimosa for $12 and they just left the bottle and brought more OJ whenever he wanted. Well definitely go back here when we are in the area!
Nothing truly amazing about this place. I got the French toast and it lacked flavor, the waffles were dry and the syrup need sugar or something. The chicken with the chicken and waffles needed more flavor. The only positive was the bacon was delicious and the service was average. If you are looking for social distancing, dont come here. The tables are not 6 feet away from each other
Good breakfast. I dug the Robert- light and filling.
Really great breakfast place!
Great food, must try the banana and walnut pancakes so good. Everything was great. My kids loved the eggs and bacon and pancakes.
Pancakes are so Delicious 😋
It was very very busy. The server took our order right away but the wait for our food was pretty long. They kept us supplied with coffee and kept us updated so it wasnt a big deal. The food was good. They actually made my hash browns extra crispy which almost never happens when I ask at other places. Servings were a nice size. Plenty of food but not giant servings.
This is one of my favorite places for breakfast and lunch. They open early at 7 am. And getting busy very fast. Five veggies and cheese omelet is so good, also strawberry pancakes. Pretty good variety of salads and sandwiches for lunch. Very friendly service. There is another cafe with the same name in Malibu, I dont know if the same owner.
Friendly waitstaff. I was disappointed that they were already out of my favorite meal shortly after opening.I asked for extra napkins after the meal was served and the server never brought them. The bacon was delicious.
Was not impressed with the portions or the prices. Food was good. Outside seating.
Absolutely wonderful. We were looking for a delicious, filling, and moderately priced place serving fresh and savory dishes and read some highly rated Yelp reviews on this place. I treated my husband out to breakfast with our toddler for Fathers Day and we were not disappointed. The look of the place, tucked into a small strip mall oasis, was very refreshing on a balmy morning. Clean and decorated with comforting, calming and cozy colors. Soft music wafted on the slight breeze. Plentiful outdoor seating with a modern patio feel. The menus were easy to read and very clear for which we are thankful for. Not cluttered up with too many choices. I had the Lox & Bagel and my husband the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito. Our toddler had the Silver Dollar Pancakes with fruit and orange juice. For $13.75, the lox & bagel was well presented, all toppings and ingredients liberally displayed. I was so happy to have a large plate enough to satisfy and fill me that I forgot to season my open faced sandwiches with salt and pepper like I normally do... and didnt even care. My husband practically melted away with satiation, happy to have finally found a place in this desert serving an actual Chorizo breakfast burrito ($12.75?), hearty, with the flavors balanced and not just haphazardly thrown together (I.e. thank you for NOT putting beans IN the burrito as that would have cancelled out the chorizo spices). His plate also had home fries garnished with green onions and a scoop of guacamole and sour cream. The kids menu (pictured artistically colored by my son) was moderately priced as well and had a great selection to choose from. It was a pretty large plate too. Well worth the cost and kept my kids hunger-attention. All around a phenomenal experience. The only suggestions I have are: more variety in the kids side fruit than just cantaloupe and watermelon (my kid loves grapes, blueberries and bananas for example), and for my lox breakfast less capers, more cream cheese (also, probably should drain the capers before serving them as I had to strain them into another vessel, relieved I caught that before shaking them onto my bagel. That would have been very disappointing to me to have dumped THAT on bread. Dont get me wrong; I LOVE capers, just not so much the brine theyre kept in). The flavors were great and the coffee was pleasant. Also, thank you for having flavored creamers for our coffees. Coffee is a major factor in our cafe dining experience.
Banana Pancake Paradise.... Best crispy Bacon. Again staff very sweet
Excellent breakfast with quick and friendly service. Just a very pleasant place to eat.
The food may have been amqzing but the restaurant was closed due to covid making it frustrating to arrive and see nothing. Wish google or a website would have warned us. When its open again I hope to try it
Loved this place. Worth the long wait.
Food was fresh but the eggs in the omelette were thin and the avocado was small. No syrup for the pancake. Service was friendly and the waitress was beautiful so five stars for her.
Arguably, some of the best pumpkin pancakes Ive had! The coffee was strong and good. Wait staff were attentive and friendly. My pancakes were so good, I forgot to take a picture. Both indoor and outdoor sitting areas. Definitely recommend a stop when you are in Palm Desert area!
Food was very good. Mt husband liked the banana nut pancakes. I liked the veggie omelette. Service was very very slow.
Food is excellent drinks are the best, staff is friendly and attentive!!
Wonderful, clean, quaint & casual place. Friendly wait staff. Owner, Steve, stopped by to chat with us for a minute. The buttermilk pancakes were delicious!!! BLTA Sandwich, Cobb Salad and Mushroom & Swiss Burger all very scrumptious! Plenty of food on each plate. None of us went away hungry. Definitely recommend this restaurant!!!
Nice patio dining for breakfast. Good selections, friendly staff
Love this place, we always come here for breakfast whenever we come to palm springs. Its way cheaper than the hotel, more fresh and much larger portions. Not expensive for the food and portions. Clean bathrooms, fresh coffee and fast service.
Good good and some very interesting options and flavor combinations. Our server was friendly but she ended getting really busy so we had to wait a while for coffee refills. Minus one star. Would come back though.
Paradise Cove is an awesome breakfast stop. The food is the best; with many options to choose from. Their pancake recipes are world famous (located in Palm Desert; draws guest from all cultures and countries) Not your typical coffee shop.
We came here twice during our weeks vacation. They claim to have world-famous pancakes, and theyre really good. Ask if Kristina can be your server, and sit outside if the weather is nice.
I absolutely love their food and service, great area right next to where I live. The employees are always super friendly. I highly recommend this place.
My wife and I used to go here before they changed their name from Palms Cafe to Paradise Cove. I couldnt tell you why we hadnt been for such a long time because our meal was great! My wife is originally from Nashville and she said that their chicken fried steak was delicious. I thought it was very good as well. Neither of us can remember another time we ate a southern staple which was on par with places back home on Tennessee. Now that weve rediscovered this desert gem well definitely be coming back more often!
Good food, good service. Great for tourists.
Jessica was fantastic! We came mid morning and the restaurant was busy. We were served water and coffee as soon as we were seated.Jessica saw us, but had a couple of customers before us. As soon as she had a moment, Jessica came and took our order. She came with a smile and left with a smile. Our waffi were excellent and the fresh fruit was nice and ripe. Near the end, Jessica came back with coffee refills. Our breakfast was just great!
Yes, I really like this place. I had the pancake sandwich. The eggs were perfect, the bacon was awesome (they bake the bacon!), And the pancakes were savory (yes, you read that correctly). My wife had the hash and eggs and she loved it as well. I thought the price was a bit on the high side but ultimately, a great breakfast discovery.
CLOSED until outdoor dining resumes.
We went for breakfast and loved it. The machaca burrito was really good. Nice staff with instant drink refills. We sat outside in July, the only problem was a few flies, so next time I would go indoors.
Tried the Biancasada. It was okay. The picture of it on the wall and on the menu was deceiving. Looked much LARGER than it really was but it was filling. The corned beef hash was definitely a canned product. Reminded me that some things arent made fresh. Their pancakes and soups are always excellent. Portions arent as large as they used to serve. Il go back again and try their Hangover Fries next time!
Ad says oversized omelette- it wasn’t. It did have a good amount of fillings except for the feta (there were about 5 little crumbles). Potatoes were rubbery, toast was good. My friend’s pancakes were not great, flat and tasteless (could tell it was from a mix). Supposed to be “covered in grilled peaches”, there was less than half a peach. Glasses were filthy (lipstick on the coffee cup, food in the water glass). Plus we were seated right next to the door and froze every time it was opened. Had to ask several time for coffee and honey for my friend’s tea.
The best place for a breakfast. The owner Mike works at the kitchen and makes delicious food. Everybody is friendly and happy at this restaurant.
The Hangover Fries were absolutely amazing. I dont know what the fries were seasoned with, but it was the best comfort breakfast Ive had in a very long time. Waffles were great as well!
Cool little breakfast spot tucked away in a strip mall next to Trader Joes. The food was delicious especially the Benedict and Pancake selection. Good coffee and excellent service topped it off. If Im ever back in the area will definitely return.
Terrible service. Waited 20 minutes and no order taken. So we left.
Went for Sunday brunch. Service was fast, but the best part was the quality of the food! The Country Benedict was wonderful. Everything was fresh made. Could not have had a better experience!
Great service. Food is excellent with large portions. This is our favorite place when visiting...
The food was delicious.. staff super friendly and attentive. Our waitress was so nice, Jaquie.
Things have changed a bit here with the new owner he brings some new food and great customer service. My boys and I eat there a lot now and I never see food left on peoples plates, nor my own plate for that matter. I really recommend this place for breakfast and more than that their burgers which are absolutely awesome.
Food was great. Service was slow. However, I was told by a long time customer that it was not usually that slow.
