Spoke with 3 employees, 2 were unhelpful and rude. Quite a difference from the Macy’s at the other end of the mall, where everyone was helpful, polite and friendly. This place can’t go out of business soon enough.

Went to the Optical Department and I needed to have my Rx for my eyes faxed. The lady said they didnt have a fax and her attitude showed that she couldnt care less. We also waited 15 minutes for her to get back, she was across at the salon and saw that people needed to use the services provided.

I really like the clothes Ive bought there. I wish the genuine jewelry wasnt so expensive. I would have bought them Levin brand.

We went here about a week ago to do some shopping for our daughters graduation dress I do not know what the deal was with this door but the whole store smelled like a sewage bill I could not even stand it to stay in there any longer even with a mask on the smell was so strong is making me sick to my stomach I dont know why they would allow people in the store with it in this condition instead of fixing whatever the problem is just be aware it is a very strong order

JCPenney in Palm Desert, California is less crowded and has less service. The prices are mostly high and the floor is messy.

Nice to see JCP open still even though bankruptcy & store closures were mentioned earlier this year. Great up to 70% off sale clothes near petite section upstairs! I mean about $7 for nice slacks in lovely colors that I really needed! Be aware, though, you may have to search for the one open register per floor! But staff very friendly with good safety measures! Thanked them for being there for us.

Despite this horrific mannequin with her ass in my face, I was actually impressed with a friendly customer service by the staff. Just try not to look at the mannequin too much, one will think you are a pervert. This should be reason enough to follow the Golden Rule and be kind to others, otherwise this will be you and your next life.

Now I see why they are going out of business. Worst shopping experience EVER. When I finally found a sales associate to answer some questions she was rude and not helpful at all. After I selected my items and went to pay for them I got the same lady. I had two pairs of jeans that were buy one get one 50% off. They were $49. She tells me my total is $100 and some change. I told her that cant be right. Shes huffing and puffing. I show her the sign. She says yes the total is right. How can that be correct? Should be $75 plus taxes. She says Im wrong. Needless to say Im irritated and Im not going to argue with her. I left without buying them and she said fine and walked away. Im in retail as well and that is NOT how you treat a customer. I do not see myself going back there again.

JCPenney has a lot of variety in merchandise for all ages. The home goods area is shrinking with less product in retail stores. However, I have always loved the JCPenney towels as they are soft and absorbent and have plenty of options in sizes and colors.

December 26, 2018, I returned a couple of Christmas gifts which were the wrong size. The store was crowded; however, the sales person did not react to the crowd. She handled each and every transaction without stress, was efficient and friendly.Transactions without a receipt was a little more time consuming, however, returns with receipts were handled expeditiously and efficiently.I found the customer service to be excellent and stress free. I want to thank employee Rachel for the excellent way my transaction was handled.

One of my go tos for clothing bargains! They have comfortable inexpensive active wear, work wear, and casual wear. Also some bargain prices on home fashion. JCPENNYS home soft good items are usually at a sale price. Well worth shopping here!

Nice store but very slow employee on register that talked Spanish w/a customer for over 5 min. While 4 of us were waiting to be served quickly! Not good I put back the jewelry I wanted to buy but it took way to long to be serve for pay for items I was in a hurry on break!

I have stopped going to retail department stores, I just do not like the quality of the clothes. I now do all my purchases on line. And have been very happy with that. The reason is if I see an outfit displayed in the store that appeals to me, I cannot find it in my size or it is not available, just the display on the mannequin has the one outfit. And sales personnel is not always available. To find a cashier is a hassel. There is just one for several dept and there is always a line. I did make purchase shoes and a sweater because of the after New Year SALE. But I do not plan to return to JC Penneys. It is sad. Growing up it used to be my favorite store.

Found quality brand name brassieres on sale for Mom and panties on sale for myself. Helpful sales people. Ive loved JCPenneys for decades. (Shoes, bedding, towels, cookware, clothing, gifts.)

Complaint regarding rude clerk.I went in to return some items and had the misfortune to be in Daniels line. A woman walked away and Daniel was having difficulty replacing some earrings on a card. After a few moments I said, Excuse me, can you help me?Cant you just wait five at seconds?Id already been waiting well over five seconds. Daniel offered to get another clerk to help me, yet I declined.I just wanted to leave the store and never return.

I highly recommend Karine in the Optical Dept if you need glasses. She knows her stuff and has worked there forever. She isnt for all personalities, but Im sure she adjusts accordingly. :)

As far as JCP stores go, this is one of the nice ones weve seen. After their remodel and addition of Sephora, the atmosphere greatly improved. The store is well-organized and staff are ready and able to help.
