This is a great Pottery Barn, with a good selection and outstanding customer service. Fun to go to brunch at Wilma & Friedas and check out Pottery Barn while waiting for your table.

This place is organized, and customers service is good, a guy help us out with two Lanterns(and big plastic candles),one was slightly damage and the top did not much, 20% off 500 or more and 10% off for the damage, to a total of 30%off. Good deal. Only to find out that the online store has 30% off with the Savemorecode, which apply to my lanterns, and I could get it shipped to my place. I would recommend to check prices online first, before go to the store and buy the product.

Great looking shop, nice quality items, good selection but let down by rude employees. The blonde woman in particular was especially rude to several people in our group. Perhaps she forgot shes there to take care of the customer? Otherwise, a typical Pottery Barn.

I enjoy going into the store, staff is mostly friendly and helpful. Nice to support local stores vs online. People keep comparing oh could have saved some $$ online but not sure if its true, by the time you pay for shipping/handling and most importantly for me, wait for items, its not worth it.

If I could give 0 I would. I went in and bought plates, place mats, bowls and we needed to order four bowls. So I finally called to find out what happened with them and the person who ordered told me that she did not get my phone number, And she would call me right back after she checked on their status. She did not call me right back so I called again. She said that she put them on the shelf but someone took them. Obviously It was not important to make sure that the order was safe. I got unhappy and she didnt like it. It was a horrible experience dealing with her. I believe shes a designer. Theres a reason why they have 3.5 stars as opposed to 5. I am looking forward to returning all these items and never shopping there again. She wanted to explain what happened and I didnt care. The bottom line was we ordered these bowls to go with this set and somebody took them. Nobody was paying attention to my order. It was probably too small a sale.

The Palm Desert store, located at The Gardens on El Paseo, is a boutique size store filled with wonderful Pottery Barn stuff. Like all PB stores, everything is staged perfectly thanks to the talented and friendly staff. Designer services are also available at this location. Who can resist shopping at Pottery Barn?

I almost never write reviews. Yet I feel I must now. I ordered a simple enough item - a Hampstead Painted Ottoman in white with a black Sunbrella cushion to go by our pool. I had three issues. And, of course, the first issue was it had to be put together, which was not mentioned. The metal screws show - no way to cover them up and make the ottoman look more like quality furniture. The really big issue I have with it is the screwed on Pottery Barn logo - had I known that would be there I would have looked elsewhere; this was not shown in the image nor mentioned. That logo is certainly is going to be as hidden as I can make it. Cmon PB - I thought you were better than this! Ill think twice before ordering from PB again - this was a mistake, even on sale it was way overpriced for these things to happen. What a disappointment!

This is the first poor experience I’ve had at a PB. The women on Wednesday (I am not sharing her name) who “helped” me was certainly doing me a favor. She was rude, abrupt and clearly bothered by my interest in pillows. She ultimately ordered them for me on line, claiming the store needed the sales vs my comment about going home to order if they weren’t a stocked item. She never gave me my total... basically dismissed me. I was visiting from IL and it’s a good thing because I would never shop there again. This is not the PB we I’ve shopped at for years. Based on the other reviews here .... this store needs customer service training.

We shop here and every time we notice the employees are snooty. Im not going to spend my money where employees act rude and arrogant. Especially when they are caught lying. We went there today to specifically shop for bedding, throws, and pillows. While shopping, I had to use the bathroom. I am disabled as a side note and noticed Out of Order signs posted on both bathroom doors. Whats the odds of both bathrooms being broken? Ok slim so I heard someone in the bathroom flush the toilet and wash their hands while standing there wondering what to do. Then I see a male employee come out. The reason I know he was an employee was because he had a radio. So I step inside and no signs of any work or repairs. My thought is that they dont want to have to clean up after customers so they stick up those signs to keep shoppers out. So after I used the well functioning bathroom, my husband asked Donna (employee) if there was a bathroom. After stuttering and refusing to look him in the eye, she said they did but they were t works no and that we could walk all the way to Brooks Brothers to use theirs. This is ALL THE WAY at the OTHER END of the complex. Plus upon speaking to Brooks Brothers. They dont have a bathroom. Its a little further around the corner. They graciously apologized for Pottery Barns behavior and provided the managements office number. My husband called Pottery Barns manager Nicole who stated she hadnt been there this week and was told by employees that there had been flooding upstairs. Sounds like more lies. Shes been there all day today. So did Nicole walk all the way to Brooks to use the potty today? Not cool to lie to your customers. Glad I put the bedding back!

I visited this lovely Pottery Barn on June 19th. I was very excited because I frequently shop at the Pottery Barn in La Jolla, CA. My mom recently purchased a house in Palm Desert and I was looking for rugs and bedding. I am sorry to say that no one greeted me or even gave a friendly smile. I was in the presence of two gentlemen employees and one female employee. After being in the store for 30 minutes, I was finally asked by the female employee if there was something she could help me with. I asked the price on a few of the rugs that were in the sale area that were tied with twine. She was unable to find the price on the one that I really wanted. She was having difficulty untie the twine and I tried to help and she scolded me and said I do not need your help. The male employee sat through the whole experience while he was on the sales floor and while at the register and listened to her and did nothing to offer his assistance. Then she clearly stated, I cannot find the price! without offering a solution. I asked if I could leave my number and they could call me after they did their research. I havent been called since. I am a kind customer who is not demanding in the least. I am fortunate enough to have most of my living room and family room outfitted with merchandise from Pottery Barn. This experience was extremely unfortunate and I am quite sad that I feel nervous to visit this location again. The Pottery Barn in La Jolla will continue to have my business and I will just transport the items that I buy to Palm Desert. There is also a sense of validation after reading your other reviews. It seems customer service is not a strong point.

I’ve been shopping here for years...unfortunately there is no other PB in the desert. I also find the staff to be unhelpful & snooty. I order most of their stuff on-line...I’d prefer to pay the shipping charge instead of dealing with “clerks” that look down at me. I suggest their corporate office require all staff to at least greet customers who walk in...terrible & embarrassing for the Coachella Valley!!
