Second time going to this store, and second time around I received a poor service. One gentleman talking with one client, I waited next to him to wave him that I have a question also when he is done. After waiting for at least 10-15 minutes, I noticed there was another salesman at the counter. I had to ask him to help me, and it was so obvious that he did nit want to. He was either annoyed or he just hates his job. Afterwards, we drove to Schaumburg location and I received an excellent service, and I also left my money there!!

Henry was very knowledgeable and helpful when he helped me find the right cross country ski setup for my daughter. She absolutely loves it! We will be back!

We brought my sons bike to trade in toward a pair of rollerblades. One of the employees broke the handlebar brake while inspecting the bike, then of course said he couldnt buy it. I reluctantly let my son pick out some rollerblades; we got home and found out the wheels dont roll well because one bearing was removed from each wheel. I wont be wasting any more money here.

They misquoted me on an item and then just cut the value in half after I had made a 30min drive to get there. They cited some incorrect valuation and even after I showed them retail as well as used prices trading for much more than I was even offered (And willing to accept) in the first place, they completely refused. Went to the NorthBrook store and they even gave me a higher offer than these guys initially quoted and were super friendly. Not going back here again.

DeAndre was really rude. not a hoot.

Went there 3 different times, to sell items. Employees were very rude. On one occasion the guy sat behind register & watched me struggle to open the door with all items, then said oh we won’t take any of those items when I got the door open. Went to another Play It Again Sports in the area, what I different experience. Employees offered to help unload items from car and took the items. Will definitely skip the Play It Again Sports in Palatine!

Helpful staff, came in to buy a pair of mens skates and they explained sizing to me and sharpened them for me all at a great price.

What a joke. Called to get a ROUGH ESTIMATE on a pair of new unused ice skates and they couldnt even do that, kept saying they need to see wear and how much blade was left after I told them several times they were new unused and I was only looking for a rough estimate. They couldnt even say they give between x amount and x amount. Sell your stuff on eBay and CL.
