I had initially ordered progressive lenses from Costco in Mt. Prospect, but they didnt take my measurements properly and the glasses were useless and dangerous to wear. Costco Optics manager didnt want to work with me to correct the issue.I then decided to visit the Walmart Eye Center in Palatine and what a difference. First pair of safety progressives came out perfect. Second pair had a small issue, but the Manager worked with me and the issue was corrected. My only concern was - not a large variety of frames, but you can bring your own frames.GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! SUPERIOR QUALITY LENSES FROM NIKON! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION WALMART EYE CENTER! I will be going there again!
Scheduled an eye exam for a Saturday during the COVID Pandemic. Despite me giving them the wrong insurance info, they still got back to me and we figured it out. Staff was friendly. It had been over a decade since I had first been here and with the pandemic, the routine was different. Everything was clean and everyone took the proper precautions with COVID. I normally dont write reviews but I saw a lot of bad ones from years ago and I didnt find anything negative about my experience today.
I have ordered my glasses twice from Walmart, not anymore. I stopped by the one in Lake Zurich, the worker is on the phone and I am waiting, shes talking and laughing on the phone, motions with her hand to me that the other person on the phone talks a lot, very unprofessional. Instead of putting the person on the phone on hold to ask why I was there, she goes on talking, so I waited for her to be done. I asked if I can look at the glasses behind her to choose a frame for my prescription, there was no other customer there beside me, she said NO, make an appointment, Okay, we are going through pandemic, I understand. All that time waiting for her to finish her sweet conversation on the phone and finally she tells me that I cant have a look at the frames while no one was there, the place was empty, maybe it was time for her to file her nails. This person does not give a damn about losing a customer. Goodbye Walmart Vision & Glasses.
Palatine Walmart vision center is a pretty horrible place to go. You would think that being inside Walmart they might have good prices for glasses or contacts. Wrong. Also, had I known beforehand how incompetent the eye doctor, Catherine Rojas was, I never would have come here. Any other eye center would have been better than this place.
Quick scheduling, very professional, overall a good experience. Went there for my contact lens exam.
I have never been treated so poorly by any place of business. I havent had a vision appointment in a few years and felt my eyes getting worse. Someone told me its cheapest to go to Walmart so I did. First I call to make my appointment, the woman was not very friendly but was polite. At the time I didnt think my insurance covered vision so I said I would just pay out of pocket. The day after I made my appointment I found out that my insurance does cover vision so I call them back and tell them. They say it will cover the basic exam but nothing with the contacts. I say ok and that Id be there.I arrive 10 min early bc I was a new patient and figured there would be paper work and upon arrival was greeted by an extremely rude woman named Nagheet. She tells me to sit by a desk and while she was verifying my info she asked if I had insurance, I say yes I do. Apparently who ever I called didnt update it bc she said I do not. So I ask if she can just update it. And she says no then that she can but that it will take a lot of time to call the insurance co (please note Im the only patient here) and then proceeds to REAM me out for not saying I had insurance at the time of the original phone call. Dumbfounded I just sit there then she asks me if I want to wait? I say I can because I have a baby at home and making appts is not easy (even though I was ready to get tf out of there) she basically then tells me I CANT wait because it will take over an hour. So why give me the option???I am not a fan of Walmart to begin with but to be treated so rudely by someone whether the insurance thing was my mistake or not, I would rather go blind.
Although the office staff were okay, the first attempt of the optometrist to determine my prescription felt like my eyes were twisted! The 2nd attempt was closer but left a 24-in. blurry gap between the close and middle focal lengths of my trifocals. Although I got a refund for the cost of the glasses, no refund for the optomitrists fee. COSCO got it right and saved me a lot of money, even with the membership fee.
Called to ask a question during their business hours it was 3 minutes before closing and told to call back after waiting on hold. Terrible service.
Very bad experience my first time with my son they get mad very easy I think at the moment they accept kids they had to deal with them dr Rojas
Glasses were not filled rite .Very unhappy
Unprofessional workers
