Walmart is a store that youll visit often but never really make a personal relationship with an employee...everyone was pleasant and I found last pkg of plastic hangers that were out of stock in three other W stores throughout the area..thanks for that...have found variety of inexpensive costume jewelry not as likeable as in the past..poor variety...lack of variety unless you might me a very young person...all ages shop Walmart
This review is more for Beth the Manager that I dealt with Saturday 10/2/21 in the Auto area. First off, Im not sure what Customer Service is all about these days but if youre just in it for a paycheck, please dont apply to be in customer service. Beth should have been in the back and not seen by ANYONE customer related. She was RUDE to say the least. There was a lady in front of me who asked about appointments and Estimates of time it would take for her car to finish it. Beth let her know that appointments are not allowed unless she was getting a new tire install and also said I do not give out time guesstimates. She never smiled, she never even looked at the lady. She wouldnt even tell her approximately what the cost would be. I ended up checking my car in for an oil change didnt even dare ask how long it would take seeing how rude she was to the lady in front of me. I ended up leaving after almost 2 hours of waiting b/c I literally had to go and brought my car in the next day. I was asked the next day by a different associate (Alex I believe) if I had an appointment. I explained no, you dont take appointments, Beth the manager says no appointments allowed. Thats when I was told, they absolutely take appointments and Beth was giving out incorrect information. I was also given a time estimate in which I would be able to come back for my vehicle, turns out Beth had no clue what she was talking about OR she just didnt want to help at all. She seemed more miserable in her own life that it came out in her job. Beth, get a new job but not with people. save us all from your sour attitude and miserable demeanor.
Want to get something quickly? This is my go-to store. Reasonable prices, plenty of merchandise, hard working/ helpful staff... Of course, I prefer/ support Walmart.com when I can, because their brick-and-mortar stores help the local business/ our neighborhood directly.
The food was tasty, the service was timely and friendly and the price was right. We will be back !!

I give this place zero stars. My husband had an appointment to get tires on his vehicle at 4:00 p.m. today. He was there at 3:45 and dropped the vehicle, walked around the store and went back to the auto shop multiple times over the hour period. There were no vehicles in any of the bays and 4 guys standing around. After asking the second time around 4;50 p.m. what time the vehicle would be worked on he was told in a few minutes. Still there were no vehicles in the bays and 4-5 guys standing around. He demanded his keys back and said he no longer wanted tires from Walmart as it was a very dysfunctional department. The worker said sorry you feel that way and handed his keys back. These guys stood around for an hour doing nothing and did not even take his appointment time into consideration. Poor management at this place.

Busy workers! All I can say is it isnt the workers that cause the problems, its the shoppers. I went for a quick purchase and I used a self checkout to leave because I wasnt going to stand in a long line for 2 items. Leave the checkout lines for all those full carts of ice cream and hit pockets and step into the way it will be. Self checkout.
Im not a Walmart fan unless absolutely necessary to go there. This was a very pleasant experience. Clean, organized, Friendly and thorough staff. Better quality merchandise. Impressive.
Great place to shop for the essentials. Moderate pricing as well! I do however wish that they would have a scheduled delivery or release of the trading cards. The scalpers seem to know exactly when the vendor will stock the shelves and it gives us collectors zero opportunity to get any cards whatsoever. May be a small issue to the lamen, but its important to us.
After a long exhaustive search for a pool filter I found that wild West had the one I was looking for so I went ahead and placed the order. However, on a Saturday night at 11:30 I got a text from a representative apologizing that the filter was out of stock and offered an alternative. The next day I went ahead and placed the order for a new one. A Wild West representative followed up again on a Sunday to ensure that everything would occur as promised from then on and that is exactly what happened, i got the replacement and it worked. That kind of customer service is rare today. Thanks WW, you have great team.

Not very clean and not very appealing. However, it is a Walmart so you should already have low expectations. Stocking is fine, although there is always a lot of random items left laying around. The thing that really gets me is that there are never enough checkout lines open. Last time I was there there was a line of 3 people at the express checkout but only 1 of the 2 express registers was open and there were 3 employees just watching a single cashier work. Why not help speed up the line?

Found what I was looking for which was a window air conditioner. Every other store was out of stock, WalMart had few left. My luck I guess.
They have everything you could want and the prices are great! So much better for general groceries than the regular grocery store on so many items. I was shocked. Should go there more often...

Walmart Auto Center located at 1555 N Rand Rd, Palatine, IL 60074, Feb 11, 2021.We left our Infiniti Q60 to change tires. Shortly after we received a call it was not possible because the rims we provided were different size. We agreed to pick up the car UNTOUCHED. Half hour later we showed up and saw a young employee Adam stuck in the snow on nearby parking lot, raving the engine to the limit trying to get our car out from a snow. The car was hot and we smelled smoke from burning tires, traction control was manually turned off. We made a video as a proof.We were told this was a standard procedure for quality check of log nuts after the service that was not done! Later the same employee admitted to me he just wanted to have fun with the car and took it for a spin. One of three supervisors that showed up (didnt bother to introduce themselves ) lied about quality check again and said he doesnt know why the employee was driving a car in the area with no camera reach. We left free of charge.So.. I find employee illegally driving my car and the situation is handled horribly by incompetent supervisors that let the employee take my car from the garage and drive it to unknown location. As right now we dont know yet if the vehicle is damaged and how long was it tortured for, where was it taken and for how long. This is completely unacceptable. Going to sue!
Wonderfully helpful staff! Well stocked shelves...better pricing too! The location I visit is in Rolling Meadows and the grocery section does not have a bakery or butcher section.
I pledge to never shop in Walmart again due to a dual policy of the establishment.Walmart treats their employees in a poor way and Walmart contributes to local family business to suffer.
This is not a supercenter so no deli, fresh produce and meat. There are very few employees on the floor and most of the times they doesnt know the exact aisle to find certain items, especially when Walmart app shows one aisle, but you cant find it there (I came across numerous such cases of late). Also, unlike some of the other stores I have been to, Pick up is located at the back of the store, so you have to walk all the way to the back of the store to pick up items ordered online.
It’s nice and clean. It doesn’t have a deli or meat department, so not a Super Walmart but has a bank, Subway and Eyelash Salon.
Guy straight up ignored me at the pick up section in the Walmart at Palatine. Had to ask someone else come help me. Never gonna do store pick up from the gardening section again.

They have some good clearance prices on clothes at the moment. However, if the clothes arent price to clear, Id say they were over priced for their quality. They do keep the store looking clean. They do not disenfect carts like they lead people to believe the do.
They had the ammo that I needed but no one could unlock the drawer and sell it to me. Very dissatisfied.
The remodel is ongoing. Getting just a little easier to find things but still frustrating. Only two real people at checkouts. Everything else is self checkout. Still the price on many things has gone up. Go figure.
Called the auto department Saturday March 6 2021 at 5:25pm .they picked up the phone put me on hold for 25 min then pick the phone back up and hang it up in my face. called back and they tell me they close in in five minutes and call back in the morning. a bunch of clowns working here would not recommend getting your vehicle worked on at this place. you are better off at a jffy lube.
Wallmart... decently sized, good selection, good prices- kind of like any other Walmart.... this one is one of the bigger ones in the area.

This is the absolutely WORST Walmart Ive ever been to. Not only was it dirty, with merchandise and pallets everywhere, I actually didnt feel safe. Several times I had people stalking me from behind, trying to get as close as possible (to steal my wallet I presume) only to run away when I would turn around. Not one single employee run register was open, everyone had to use self checkout. The entire store was dingy and just unkempt. 75% of the customers were shopping with no regard for others around them. I will never shop at the Palatine Walmart store ever again. If this is a sign of what Palatine has become, Ill just steer clear of Palatine altogether, and spend my money in other towns.
No Cashiers and no associates to answer questions. Not sure I can continue to shop there.
Walmart.com has a store inventory check. It shows that the Palatine, IL store has what I need.My 2010 Grand Caravan uses about 1 quart of 5W20 motor oil in 500 miles. We have a second car that uses it too. So I find that a case of hi miles Pennzoil is in stock and costs $2.27 per quart. The case has 5- 5 quart bottles. I will save over $10 buying in volume. (See the screenshot below.) So I go. I could not find the case in the store so I ask. The clerk cant find it either. then the Auto manager tells me that the website is wrong. So I see many 5 Quart bottles on the shelf for about $17 ea, and I tell him that I will be satisfied to grab those at the same price. No can do he says, corporate will not let him. So I insist on seeing the store manager, Kelly, and he tells me the same thing. So I ask him if it is ok to start my voice recorder and have him repeat what he said. Emphatically, he said NO.I guess that Bait-and-Switch is ok now! For me, no it is not, so I left the store empty handed.

Ordered several items online from Walmart thinking I could get them all shipped to me. Nope, thats not how Walmart does it. Some of the items I had to pick up at the local Walmart and the remainder were shipped to me in multiple shipments. For those items I had to pick up, I had to go all the way to the back of the store to retrieve my order. This is not customer friendly service. Walmart has a long way to go if they want to compete with Amazon.
Associates are not versed in the store merchandise. Hard to find someone to ask a question. Not my fav Walmart.

I do not typically like to shop here due to limited selection. They carry a little of everything. It wasnt as crowded as usual and attempted to control aisle flow which everyone seemed to ignore. I had a hard time finding what I needed and two employees were unable to assist. The checkout guy was really nice but I had to wait awhile to get stamps for my dad. It wasnt a bad experience but not my first choice.
Some stock was low, yet was able to find items I couldnt find at the store near my home, in Niles, that store is horrible.
Spoke with a representative looking for an item and they didnt speak English or they just didnt want to help me

I ran in to pick up a few things (all of which were in stock). as i approached check out an associate in the main aisle told me she could check me out with a credit card. she scanned my items quickly and processed my card w her handheld device. it was very very efficient and easy.
Got in. Got what I needed. Got out and survived the parking lot. Success!

Isles are too cramped. Looked everywhere for employees and only once I found one and ofc hes busy finding a product they didnt carry smh. Need fresh food? Gotta go some place else because for some reason they dont gave any. Nice for a quick rush to grab something without being bothered but I wouldnt shop here for a grocery list.

The whole store setup is very different from other Walmarts. I also noticed alot of items down to the groceries were nor did at this store. The carts and the self checkout section were not being sanitized and disinfected between patrons.

Walmart is basically Walmart but this store in Palatine, IL is much larger than the Walmart I frequent in Lake Zurich, IL. Selection is bigger and better, aisles are less cramped and easier to navigate.
