My laptops hard drive was dying. They were able to transfer the data, including some photos of great sentimental value to a new laptop. they were very fast, and knowledgeable, and the price was good too. I would definitely recommend!

The guy is very rude, i did get my ipad repaired for screen and paid $100 to get the covered and after 5-6 months the touch screen stopped working and then went back and now he is demanded $100 more to install a new screen. He realized that was his fault and showing his frustation and said he busy he cannt talk, he can just fix it if i pay 100 bucks.You should have been honest and accepted that you did not fix the screen first time correct. if you have fixed the screen how did it stopped working without any damage or drop. Yes you were totally rude, when i got service from you its your responsibility to listen and answer the customer questions. Thats totally true what ever i said in the review the repair was done 5-6 months ago, i went back checked my cc stmt i have paid you on 12/13/2020 and its started having issues in june, so it did not even last your new screen 6 months and on top of that you said it might be dropped, i clearly told you its not dropped and asked me to show the signs of dropping and then you dont have any answer. You did not fix properly for the first time and the touch screen is not working. Dont try to lie

I 1st used Fast Geekz around a year ago after searching for a computer repair place that had very good reviews. I was not disappointed. He fixed my one computer for a very reasonable price. He also spent some time looking at another one which he did without even charging me. I gave him $20 anyway just because I appreciated what he did. This year, as Murphys law would have it, I had two MacBook pros video cards fail within 3 days of each other! I brought them both into him and he took care of my issues. Im very satisfied with the service he does and the reasonable price that he charges. I then, brought him an 11 year old Acer Aspire Windows 10 that was just running very slow. I thought it might have been corrupted. He informed me that the hard drives get old and slow down and that this problem could be fixed by putting in a solid state hard drive. Which I had him do for me. Now, that one, is also running perfectly fine. He also, transferred my files so I didnt have to lose anything. My Macbook Airs screen broke, and after first getting an eye-watering quote from Apple I took it to Fast Geekz. Not only was their price significantly lower, but the work done was top notch. Fast Geekz also quoted me a repair time of a week but had my computer fixed and ready to pick up in a matter of days. Went there today for a charging port issue for my ipad. Turns out a small broken piece of the charging wire got into the port, they only took a minute and removed it and didnt even charge me anything. Very professional and friendly, highly recommended!

Was changing the ink to my printer and dropped the ink cartridge on my phone like an idiot and cracked my screen. Contacted Fast Geekz who ordered the part (I have an android) and called me when it arrived a few days later. They repaired my phone within a couple of hours and I couldnt be happier. First let me state that I called this shop at 5 minutes before closing to qet a quote on replacing a power supply. Never thought anyone would pick up that close to closing time. WRONG. They answered and gave me my quote.We brought the unit in the next day and were advised that they were very busy and may not be able to get it done today. No problem, I get it, its a business. But to my surprise, they were able to finish it, amazing.I take the unit home and try to plug in the monitor and it doesnt work. I call the shop tell them and was advised that I may have plugged it into the motherboard and not the graphics card. Boy did I feel stupid, because thats exactly what I did. I thanked him and hung up.He also had no problem answering questions about things I wanted to add to the system.I get it, Im old, and maybe my expectations are too much, but there is NO WAY I would get service like this from any of those big box stores.Thanks to those at Fast Geekz and keep up the outstanding work. The best place to repair your laptop.

They say they fix computers and computers hardware. Well, I brought my computer to check for possible hardware issue but I was told that they did not deal with hardware and I was offered to contact hardware manufacturers. They did not even try to find out what was going on. An associate said he was certified to do a diagnostic but not to deal with hardware. So if you think you may have a real deal issue with hardware you may better call them first and save your time for driving in. If it says “We can fix it” then at least try to find out the cause, not just send customers back. I was very unhappy with such approach. I gave 4 starts for their honesty. I am not saying this place is bad or good, I am just saying that service information shown on their website may not be what you hope for. Good luck.

Fast Geekz is a nice little shop in a busy but convenient part of Palatine east of the train station. I walked into Fast Geekz last week to repair a faulty Lightning/Recharger Port on my phone. I arrived an hour before it closed, and the repair person took my phone on priority and was able to repair the phone by replacing the port hardware in less than 40 minutes. Since the phone was off warranty, Apple Store had told me to replace the phone for far more than the repair cost.So far, the phone is working like new. Charging and transferring data properly. Great job, fast, friendly, and inexpensive. If I should have any further issues, I would certainly be a repeat customer. Thanks again!

I brought in a new cpu and motherboard to be replaced as well as to fix some other issues that another shop had created on my custom pc. The replacement and fixes were done quickly. The guy who did the repairs was super helpful (forgot the name) and did a great job troubleshooting and fixing the things the other shop messed up.

Rocky is the best. I have been there before, and he has fixed my cracked screens. But this last time, he brought my phone back from the dead. He told me of options that I could do, like getting a new phone, a refurbished phone, or finding a new deal with a new carrier. I checked all these out while he held my phone, and I found he was the better deal of them all. I swear my phone was like it was run over by a truck, but he got it working just as good as it ever was, for a better price than anything else. Rocky is awesome, I called to ask about fixing a broken screen on my older phone and he special ordered the screen and said to check back the following week to see if they got the part yet. To my surprise he actually called me when the part was ready, even though I never left my contact info with him. I dropped off my phone with them before they closed and it was ready the next morning. When I picked up my phone it looked great, just like new. I went to test everything out when I got home and noticed that the front facing camera was blurry. I took it back to Rocky to ask about it and he immediately apologized and said he wasnt able to fully test the phone because he didnt have my unlock pin code. But with no questions asked he got to work on it again. Initially I was going to wait in the waiting room but he came out and said that it was going to take longer than he thought and could give me a call later with an update. That afternoon he called and told me that while fixing the camera he noticed the microphone needed repaired too and hed have the phone ready the next day. I really appreciated his updates, honesty, and customer service. He was very apologetic when I went to pick up my phone, and gave me a partial refund for my trouble even though I didnt ask for or expect that. I am an IT consultant, but I cant always figure everything out. So I took my very old, 2012 iMac to Rocky at FastGeekz to see if he could get the data off the drive, which I could not access as the iMac seemed dead to me. He spent over 100 hours with multiple diagnostic tools trying to recover the data. During this time he kept me up to date and answered more than enough of my questions intelligently over the phone. In the end the Data was completely corrupted, but he was able to get the drive out of the iMac for me. For all the work he did, I wasnt charged in the end! Cannot recommend this place enough! Will be taking my PC and MAC problems here!Keep up the great work!

Turned out it was a motherboard issue and offered to try to salvage it or install a new one - he gave me 3mo. warrantee on his work for salvaging it and is allowing me to use the money I paid him towards a credit for a new motherboard if his work didnt hold up. My Samsung S8+ sim tray broke. I came in for a quick quote. The owner was very nice and gave me a good price. We had to wait alittle longer because the first tray that came in was damaged, but after all said and done, he was able to finish everything in under 2 hours.

This store replaced screen on my iPad. They perform poor job on the device. After I picked it up. I noticed that it has a lot of small scratches around the screen. I understand that you have to you some pray bar tools. But you can do it without scratching ipad all over. After the job has been done battery start draining crazy fast. Even if I dont use it it could drain in about 24hours from 100 to almost 0. I also noticed that home button not aligned properly and it has some strange filling like shortage or getting burning hot at some periods. I will not recommend this play. And will never come back.
