We recently had Alpha Carpet & Flooring redo our entire upstairs. 2 Rooms of Hardwood and 3 rooms of carpet. We had a great experience! We interviewed multiple local companies that do flooring, and Jim not only beat their prices, he installed a great product. His crew was always on time and did a great job. Jim was also very good at addressing any concerns or questions we had before, during and after the install.

I hope you take the time to read this, because Jim and Alpha Carpet/Flooring deserves the recognition. I cannot say enough great things about this company and thats primarily due to the owner, Jim. I purchased an older home requiring some updates to both carpeting and hardwood flooring - can I first say how much harder it is to find a contractor who will take care of both than I thought it would be? Ultimately, my husband and I spoke with 6 different contractors. Why did Jim stand out above the rest? Most everyone I spoke to took the attitude of whatever you want, we will do but I am not an expert and we really needed someone who would be patient to help talk through options. Everyone else made me feel so rushed and some even came off a bit annoyed when I did not know exactly what I was in the market for... Where all other contractors I spoke to limited our first phone call to 5 - 10 minutes, my first call with Jim was phenomenal and lasted about half an hour! He first asked what we were hoping for and ideas we had in mind, then he asked more probing questions to better understand our lifestyle to ensure that we were thinking about the right materials that would fit our needs and be sustainable. Throughout the process, I felt I was well taken care of...he never once came across taking advantage of our lack of knowledge of the process and was honest about all the good and the bad. His overall communication is amazing. We were not living in our new home during the job and Jim gave me updates every day and sent me photos and videos. And I KNOW he had other clients...but I always felt like he only had time for us because his responsiveness was tremendous. Since we did carpet and unfinished flooring, Jim estimated the job would take 14 days before the hardwood floors would be safe for furniture... And that is the exact schedule they followed! I am so happy with the crews work, but Jims level of service really is what makes everything shine. And finally....we of course LOVE the new carpet and hardwood floors.

This is my second time using Jim and his team for flooring. We installed carpet before we moved out of our previous home and now hardwood floors throughout our main floor in our new home. Excellent communication throughout the entire process, from quote to purchase to install. The quality is amazing and the floors look beautiful in our new home. Jim of Alpha Carpet and his crew were absolutely amazing! They were all very professional and hard working. Jim worked it out so we could get our carpeting installed really quickly immediately after our new home closing and before the movers arrived with all of our furniture. The carpeting is beautiful and high quality! Jim’s crew did a great job and completed it quickly as well! I highly recommend Alpha Carpets to everyone and will use them again!

Jim and his team did an awesome job on my new carpet installation. I had multiple bids and not only were his prices the best, he was easy to get touch with and kept me in the loop during the whole process. I would absolutely recommend to all my friends and family as the first company to contact.

We have more flooring / carpet jobs at our new home but we are going to pass on Alpha moving forward. The experience was / is less than desirable. The installers were supposed to be at our home in the morning but were delayed because they didnt have the carpet. Jim has a very understandable reason but when they did show, it was late afternoon. I felt they were rushing through the job to be finished at a reasonable hour. We like the carpet but do not feel it was installed well. I have already had some places on stairs where the carpet is coming up and had to retack it down. The installers were also sloppy when cleaning up after themselves. I have 2 small children but they were flinging old staples all over. I swept and vacuumed after they left and still found staples. One of the reasons I am even writing this is because I stepped on a staple last night over a month after installation. They were cutting carpet in my driveway and we still have carpet fiber all over the grass. I used a leafblower but still cant get rid of them. Lastly and most annoying, after they installed the carpet 3 of the 5 doors in the area where the carpet was laid, do not close properly. One does no close at all. They closed just fine before the installation. I called Jim to see what can be done and he told me the doors needed to be cut down. Ok....why not trim the carpet? Hes the professional so fine, he said he couldnt do it the week I called but would the next week. I called and text but I have not gotten a response and the doors still dont close.

Jim and his team of installers did a beautiful job. I just finished painting all the walls the day before installation and not one mark was made! That means everything to me. Plus the carpet is beautiful

My husband and I bought a condo that needed its carpets ripped out (and burned!), and we were so, so lucky to find Jim at Alpha. Not only is he such a nice person to be around, but he’s intelligent, quick, and fair. He was able to quote me on the phone almost exactly what he measured out in person, and he always answered my questions and was quick to reply. For all of our homes in the future, we’ll definitely be using Alpha. You should, too!!!

Jimmy is amazing! My husband and I met with Jimmy on a Sunday morning to select carpeting for our bedroom. Jimmy brought a range of samples - and patiently talked us through our options. By Monday morning, Jimmy emailed us an estimate; we paid a deposit; the carpet was installed one week later. Jimmy + his team efficiently installed the carpet in under an hour! From start to finish, the process was stress-free.Alpha Carpet takes COVID-19 protocols seriously - and we are grateful that we were referred to Jimmy. My husband and I are so happy that we found Jim and his stellar team. You wont find anyone more experienced or committed to giving you a top-quality job. Jim sent me a video right after the floors were done and called me *every day* after the hardwood floors were refinished to check whether wed had a chance to see them yet (we were staying away to let them cure and were nervous even to peak in!); they did an absolutely beautiful job. Jim has been in the business since he was 18; he came up alongside his dad and now works with his dads old partner, Larry. Importantly, he has also spent years working with his crew, and those are the guys who you have to trust to do the job right. They handled both a beautiful carpet installation for us and a refinishing of all our hardwood. I pestered Jim with every question in the book on environmental qualities of the rugs, stain removal, wood stain options, you name it: Jim never seemed bothered and always seems to have an unflappable, calming, genial outlook that really makes him a pleasure to work with. BRAVO, guys!!!
