I brought my car in for all 4 tires and was blown away by the service received! Paul took the time to explain my options and helped me choose the right tire to prepare for the snow. We went over future services and a timeline for when I can expect those to be done He is very knowledgeable and passionate about customer service, and it shows! The service was done quickly, and Paul beat the the quotes I had received from other repair shops with a 5 year alignment. Great service, professionalism and care for their customers. Paul has a customer for life!

I went in for a synthetic oil change. During the free safety inspection, they saw that the inner edges of my front tires had steel belts showing through! The manager Paul showed me the tires and got me a good price on 2 new tires. He was very nice and explained all of the different options available. He even got me 6 months same as cash financing to help me with this unexpected expense! Paul and his crew really care about keeping their customers safe and on the road! I would have had a blowout if they didnt show me those tires. Definitely recommend taking your car here!

I came in on short notice before a trip noticing an oil leak. They took care of me immediately and talked me through everything. I ended up having a few more services done as well. I will definitely be back.

Will never be going back here again! They called to tell me my car was ready and even went later than they asked and yet it wasn’t ready when I got there. They also never called to tell me it wasn’t. Then the car was going to have to be kept overnight but I had to come back to the store to pay for the parts when they could have just charged me while I was there prior. Why wasn’t the issue of the motherboard being shot inspected prior to calling me that my car would be falsely ready when it wasn’t? Isn’t that part of your job as a mechanic to inspect and knock out all possible variables. Clearly was not a full inspection, and a lack of knowledge apparent. A team member was also hitting on me throughout the process of me being there! Extremely unprofessional and unsatisfactory.

Quick service and at a good price, plus they had the AC blasting during the hot weather so thats a plus

I’ve been coming here for years. Staff is super helpful and knowledgeable and willing to work with you on pricing for major (and minor) fixes. As a female, its not always easy to feel confident that you’re getting the correct recommendations for service on your car. I’ve never had any issues here in terms of unnecessary upsells or dramatizing a problem to make a bigger sale. BIG SCAM! I got a coupon in the mail for a discounted oil change. I was pretty satisfied until they told me the cabin air filter was missing and that it would cost $50 to replace it. This made me very suspicious of them and I told them I would replace it myself. Just checked my car and the cabin air filter is there, it is not missing. This guy was trying to rob me. Buyer beware!

I have had nothing but positive experiences here. The employees, specifically Wes, have gone above and beyond to provide great service. Wes and another employee (I forgot his name!) actually drove out about 30 minutes to check my car because I was nervous something was wrong. They said they wanted to make sure the car was safe for me to drive and they didn’t want me to drive all the way to the shop if it was unsafe. I highly recommend :)

Complete rip-off. Had REAR brake pads changed in January. I paid 467 dollars to get JUST the REAR brake pads(not rotors) changed in an Altima. I would have saved 90 dollars getting the job done at Nissan - they threw in brake-bleeding for free.

I went to the Midas in Palatine and the manager and staff were friendly and professional. They explained everything they went over on my car and what I needed. I feel the quality of service was excellent and I will recommend my friends to this location.

I just picked up my car that had a nail in the tire, thought I needed a whole new tire, but they were able to patch it for $35! Ive also had them replace my car battery, brakes, and oil changes. Very quick service and they dont jerk you around.I also saw them days later with my girlfriends car and they were able to get us in on a Sunday! Thanks!

I have a 1999 Cadillac Eldorado. When I purchased this vehicle immediately I took it to Midas. They informed me that I had no major issues. I just needed an oil change. They advised me of getting the coolant treatment as well. The staff did a beautiful job of inspecting my vehicle. Not to mention gave me very informative information about my car. Fast forward 3 months later and I am getting trouble with my water pump. I was nervous because I could not afford the repairs for about a week. Luckily, for me the staff told me that because I got the oil changes and treatments plan with them. They would put in a claim and do the repairs no charge. The claim went through and the staff did a great job repairing my car. THINGS LIKE THIS IS THE REASON I TAKE MY CAR TO THIS MIDAS!!!!!!!

When ever I need work done on my car I take it to this MIDAS location,because I have strong faith in the managers WES and Paul that they will care for my car needs honestly without doing work that does not need to be done. A few times I was told by my dealership that I need service on certain areas of my car and both managers would say that these issues do not need to be done at this time. I was even told I could wait 3 or 4 months before the need to have my brakes replaced. I as a customer appreciate the honesty. I hope other folks feel the same way about the service and professionalism of these two men. I might also add they always find me a nice discount on a service, especially when I forget my coupons.

Been coming to this location now for some time for everything from simple oil changes to more complex vehicle repairs. The staff here is always polite and professional and they are quick to get vehicles in and back on the road safely. Whenever I bring my car in for service, they always bring me back into the service area while my car is still on the lift so they can show me what exactly is wrong and everything is explained to me in plain English. Im always presented with a full quote for repairs from which they explain to me what needs to be done priority to what can wait till later on. (In case youre wondering, I have high mileage vehicles, both over 100,000 miles which require more maintenance than typical low mileage vehicles. Not all of us can afford new(er) vehicles. One vehicle they kept running up until 183,000 miles.) The Assistant Service Manager Don has always been understanding to my financial situation and really does work with me to help me get repairs done. I typically only work with Don because he understands my vehicles and my financial situation. He has always been up front and honest about everything. I have received quotes from him before and have spoken to my brother who is a mechanic (he is to far away from me to take my vehicles to) and my brother has always agreed with what he says and and the prices quoted. In some cases my brother has told me to some quotes Thats a damn good price theyre giving you. I have been a loyal customer for some years now and will continue to only go to this location for anything my vehicles need.

I brought my 2016 Passat for a oil change here with absolutely no issues with car. It started leaking oil after 2 days. Took it back to get it fixed and I was told that they left the filter gasket loose. Waited about 2 hours to get that fixed. My car is still leaking oil. So if you would like ruin your perfectly fine car, this is the place to go. Good luck

Midas advertises $99 brake job per axle online. But if there are some other problems, the price can go up to $1180 per axle like the case was on my car. The price went down to less than $700 with no bleeding service and only fixing the leaking piston on one wheel. So basically charging almost $600 more for fixing one piston on top of $99 for replacing the pads on two wheels.I went back to my ol mechanic and get the brake fixed for $380 without any reduced services. I worked as an auto mechanic myself before starting the college study 40 years ago. And I did start replacing brake pads after 20 minutes lesson and an hour of practice session, fixing the stuck and leaking pistons after a month or two on the job, and confidently handled bleeding the air out of the brake system after about 3 months. The mechanical auto break system has not changed. It actually became little simpler as the brake drums are replaced by the brake discs on most of the sedans and SUVs. My car brake job can be fixed within 2 hours easily.The receptionist acted like a kind guy but actually handed me the car key back ten minutes after my car was pulled out from the garage and parked outside. I still give them three stars because their manners are kinda polite side and not aggressive. If my car is an expensive new car, I probably let them fix it even if I know the price is too high.This Midas shop is closer to my home, and I wanted give my village more business but certainly not with that much bleeding on my wallet. I wasted two hours in the shop.

We were looking for the place to change breaks, balance and tire rotation. They did everything so fast and easy for us with a good discount. I highly recommend this place. I would give more than 5 star for customer service if I could.

I knew their manager, Wesley, from years ago when he was Lake Zurich Midas manager; and he and his staff always took great care of all my family cars; then he was transferred to Palatine, and today he took the same great care of me, and his staff did the same great of my car.He is the most honest shop Manager I have ever met, and his employees do an excellent job.

Wes, the manager is wonderful and so is the staff. I took my daughters car there to get some work done and they were quick and efficient with their work. They called and gave me updates on any issues found and pricing before anything was worked on. Professional people and will take my cars back there for all work.

I brought my car in for a repair concerning the brakes... They were so nice and they looked over everything without me asking them to. They did not try to upsell me at all which is a plus..They even drove me home while they worked on it. They are efficient and extremely pleasant to deal with. I feel safe in my car once again...

Generally take my vehicles here, super close to home and they always have specials. With them, I’ve been underneath my car to see issues and they typically give their opinion on various parts about the car. They can get pretty busy, try to schedule a visit ahead. I think it’s common sense, but it’s always good to get a second opinion.

Midas Muffler - Palatine on East Dundee RoadI called in to get a rough price on front and rear brakes and rotors, and talked with Wes. Wes was professional from the moment we started. He said come in and we will give you an exact price after we look at it. I told him that price was a concern as I have been unemployed for a year. He said dont worry, we have a midas card which will give you 6 months to pay. When I got in, it was everything Wes said, and He helped me get the midas card open, and now the car runs smoothly, no noise, and stops. He is a credit to Midas in customer relations.

I have been going to Midas in Palatine, Il. On Dundee for over 2 years! They are the nicest and most accommodating people I have ever had. Wes is great and always greets me with a smile. Also, they have the cleanest bathrooms that any woman would go into especially when its Generally a man’s place!

Ive been servicing my car here since 2012. The service, professionalism, and speed of this Midas is superb. There are a few other car service companies within a mile of this location but I only go to this Midas.One thing my wife and I always appreciate is how they will let you know what they recommend fixing/replacing but are never pushy about making the sale.Whether you need an oil change, break maintenance or a heat shield falls off the bottom of your car, the Palatine Midas wont let you down.

I have been coming to this Midas for roughly 4 years now, through 3 different cars. Really appreciate the work they have done. Technicians have changed over the years, but all have been very helpful. Currently getting the oil changed, brakes replaced and the throttle system cleared out. Should get a little more pep out of the gas pedal now). These guys have been pretty honest and straightforward with me every time I go. They tell you what you need and what can wait. I am sure they have saved me so much money over the years with repairs that could wait and with repairs that need to be done preventing more damage. Highly recommend.

I have had nothing but exceptional service at this Midas location. Don, the assistant manager, will never sell you something you dont need. He is extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. The time frames for work are always accurate. There is no where I would rather go to have my car worked on.

Bought headlights for my wife’s car and realized I don’t have the tools to get in there. I called and the manager, Wes said he’d take it in a install them for me and just charge labor. Pretty quick, fine job. Wes followed up with me a week later to make sure everything was satisfactory. Will be returning.

Got a new exhaust on my car, they had to cut off my exhaust in several places to remove it and it cost me around 200$ which isnt bad or good. Th exhaust was installed without flaws and only took around an hour. What surprised me is that they called me the next to follow up and make sure everything was working fine. I highly recommend this Midas.

Don saved me money on my exhaust system repair by not replacing the entire exhaust pipe and instead doing a great repair job. You can tell they take pride in the work here and they run a good, efficient, clean shop. I recommend Midas in Palatine.

I had a really nice experience here, so much so I had to share. I had just had my oil changed by a different shop before my wife planned to take the car out of town, only to find oil under the car on the Sunday morning she was due to leave on her trip. Since my shop was closed on Sundays I noticed some nice reviews in Google Maps of this Midas so I reached out to them. Tim answered my call and said theyd be able to take a look at it. In the end it was a simple fix but they had to re-do the oil change. Since the car is a diesel Porsche Cayenne these are expensive oil changes but the price here was very reasonable, the service was thorough and friendly, and the turn-around was pretty fast for a last-minute issue. Thanks a ton Tim and team.

I do agree about them charging more than necessary. I was using a coupon for $19.99 oil change that includes filter and oil. The coupon states they can charge for extra parts. I was charged $4.5 for shop supply. What other shop supply do you use? Oil ring should be included in the oil change if that is what the charge is for. In addition, they where suppose to rotate the tires. They did not. They stated that the better tires are in thed back. No offence, but it is my car and if i ask you to and pay for it, please do it. You can call out the concerns, but do it. It is not about the money but about the trust. If I cannot trust you with a simple oil change, how am I going to give you bigger jobs.I know that it is only $20 but you guys are the one who came out with that offer so please do as you say.

Visited midas on 5/1/2018 to receive excellent service from the technicians. They answered every question I had and explained stuff I didnt know. Didnt have to wait long and was comfortable waiting in the lobby. Very clean facility.

I went to two different jiffy lube that told me it would be at least a 45 minute wait before they even looked at my car for an oil change. I called Midas across the street and they got me in right away without even having an appointment(although thats recommended). They were very accommodating and I even got a free bottle of water. Will be coming back!

Replaced my exhaust entirely which was a fine job, but after they worked on my car, my serpentine belt made a nails on a chalkboard screeching. I asked them to fix it since it had never made a sound before they touched it, and they said coincidences happen.I guess I agree. I guess it was a coincidence that I took my business elsewhere

Went in for some typical maintenance on my car. Theres a lot of places in the area that I dont trust, so I tried somewhere new. I worked with Paul, real nice guy. Got my oil change done and he went over my inspection. He explained what I needed and why I needed to get it done and what could happen if I dont. He was thorough and explained things really well. You can tell he knows his stuff. Sometimes I feel like places are trying to rip you off, but I could tell Paul was an honest, genuine guy. Ill be back next time I need work done.

Ok service had better at an independently own shop the old staff was friendly and seemed more honest and not to up sell or cheat the customers should of read the other reviews that are true seems like i have more issues with vehicles. i wouldnt recommend this place any longer there cheats do your research and shop other shops even oil changes and tire if y have to pay a couple dollars more its worth it go to an other shops that cares about the customer not just a sale
