I’m fairly new to Ozark, and as everyone knows— a new town comes with a new mechanic. I’ve used Mitchem Tire twice for oil changes and simple inspections, which have always gone extremely smoothly, but this review is directed towards the service. I was in this morning for an IDOD, and while I was waiting I overheard a conversation with the man running the front desk and a customer. The customer was needing specific tires in order to get on the road by 11 (2.5 hours away). He was driving to STL to visit the Children’s Miracle Hospital. The man at the desk called at least 6 different tire shops in town trying to find the correct tires for this man— insuring he would be on the road by 11. After so many calls, the man said, “you know, you don’t have to do this” and to that, the employee responded, “i know, but i want to.” If you are looking for a great shop with next level service— this is it.P.S. they did find a shop that has the tires in stock, and from what I grasped, the customer was able to get on the road by 11.

They were prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. Also instead of waiting there I told Rodney I was going to get something to eat while they worked on my suv and he gave me a business card and told me that if I went to Village Inn & presented that card they would give me a discount so I had breakfast while I wait for my car and Mitchem got done about the same time I got done eating. They did a great job!!!

Went for an inspection and ended up with much more. More in a good way though. The mechanic who did the inspection brought me out and showed me some problems that needed attention. Never once did any of the employees push for me to have them do the work. They just gave me an estimate and left it at that. I did end up having them do the work and they will also do all my future work. Very very pleased with the customer service and mechanical knowledge of all employees. I cant forget, I was very very pleased with the pricing also. Thank you again guys, and gal.

I have been coming here for three years and refuse to go anywhere else. I cannot think of a single place that provides better service. Only time I have gone anywhere else is when they recommended me to someone who could better evaluate my problem better than they could.

Went in here with my daughter in law for the first time. So friendly, so willing to help and go the extra mile. For years I have gone to other shops but I believe they just got a new customer. Such great people working here! I encourage everyone to go and check them out first!

The front right tire on the Jag suddenly went catastrophically low so I drove over thinking it was probably a puncture or valve stem but it was a separation. . One of the probably quite a few soon to appear problems and why I got at a lower purchase price than I expected. Lol. But the folks didnt bat an eye and I replaced both front tires for less per tire than the previous cars name brand service tire cost, a small foreign car. They have done tire stuff for the previous small car also. Nice folks, reasonable prices and reasonable time. Recommended, :)

I called ahead to set up an appointment but was told its first come, first served. I just needed an inspection and an oil change. I waited for two and a half hours, during that time someone came in with an appointment, and got pulled in before me. I understand appointments take priority over walk-ins, but why was I lied to?

They are busy right now due to covid shut downs, so service is slower. Customer service is great though, and they dont try to sell you the kitchen sink when you go just for an oil change. Highly recommend.

After hearing about my buddies experience here at this shop in ozark I suggest nobody come here owner acts like a child and calls and harasses people who have a bad experience at the shop this isnt what a mechanic shop should do to its customers

Very Happy! I took my wifes BMW in for an oil change and asked they also look at my tires. Definately needed a new set so got a quote and was pleasantly surprised at the price. Left vehicle returned a couple hours later only to find out it was even a better deal than quoted. Not being a local its great to find an honest friendly business. Definate reccomend. Thanks guys!

Great experience! I was looking for a specific Toyo set of tires which they didnt have in stock, but were able to get it to their shop within a few hours of my phone call. I let them know I was on a tight schedule and they were able to get me in and out with the exact set of tires I wanted in 40 minutes! The staff was both professional and friendly, too.

No balance of new tires put on. Have the shakes at 45MPH and worse as the speed increases. Find almost anyone else for basic work.

My very first visit for an alignment I was told I needed. I did not need one and no charge. Anthony was very nice and I was VERY surprised and will be back!

My boyfriend and I are on a trip and my car was messing up and couldnt go up hills. I took it to these guys and they figured out my problem and directed me to to another great place nearby that had the part. They even said to come back if they didnt have the part we needed and they would order one for us and put it on and they closed at 2 we were there at 10 am.

The mechanics at this business are very honest about what they do to your car. No undermining tactics or saying that you need something when you actually dont. They are straight up with their prices and availability, plus they seem to go out of their way to undergo professional check ups on my car. This is where Ill take my car to get worked on and get tuned up before any upcoming trip!

I own a GMC 2500 HD truck. I was having an issue with a clanking noise especially while turning. I took my truck to 4 different places to find the issue. I even took the truck to the local Chevy/GM dealer in town and they told me I needed new leaf springs at a cost of $1500. Really, new leaf springs? I decided to have Mitchem Tire in Ozark look at the truck and Bill the manager had his technician Robert look at it. Robert was able to replicate the noise I was hearing and said it was defiantly coming from the rear leaf springs. He pinpointed exactly where on the springs the noise was coming from. Robert decided to see if GM had a service bulletin for this problem and sure enough he found that their was a bulletin for this exact noise. The noise was caused by worn leaf spring inserts. They ordered me the parts from the dealer and Mitchem charged me $228 parts & labor and it resolved my issue. The dealer didnt even look to see if their was a service bulletin and was going to charge me $1500 to replace the leaf springs. I was very impressed with Mitchem Tire, especially Robert. I would highly recommend Mitchem Tire, they know what they are doing when it comes to tires, suspensions and basic vehicle repairs. Thanks again to Robert & Bill at Mitchem Tire in Ozark.

I went in for an expection. Grant it my car is 20 years old but the tatted up nose ring inspector tried to tell me I had a bad leak in my power steering pump, it was supposed to be caked up on the bottom of the car, and the pump was brand spanking new. He wouldnt pass it, thinking just because I was a girl by myself I didnt know anything about cars, and he could get some business from me, not knowing Im a mechanics daughter! Ive never had a problem with Mitchems before, I always do my inspections and tires there, but if he continues working there with his additude I will never return there again. And my car passed the next inspection fine, and nothing was coming out of my power steering pump at all!! I didnt curse anybody, and yes that may have been power steering fluid but like I told him the pump was BRAND NEW! You make everyone who gives you a bad review look bad. Buddy this is the truth and Im not going to be treated like I am stupid just because I am a girl. I get my inspections done here always and he is my first and only complaint in years. Keep lying see how your business really turns out! The rudest owner of any company I have ever spoke to and unopologetic for your employees mistakes. Ive read all of your reviews and how you treated others. My car is and will be fine and you just lost a lot of business I was going to buy tires too but the way you act I will never come back to your crooked shop! Its pretty bad when your so called mechanic has to use Google to diagnose a car. As far as cursing I told him quote on quote take my car off the lifters I will take it else where and it will pass. By the way Im not paying you today was that cursing? What cuss words was in those sentences? And yes I told the next lady for inspection to watch him and not let him do her the same way he did me, she was old and I hope he didnt for her sake. I just had my car serviced oil might have been on the pump but your mechanic needs to learn how to really inspect a car or be more honest. I thank him for his service but I will never return for service there.

I got my 4 new top end tires put on my car drove awesome for about an hour. I took my car back a few days later and gotv then rebalanced they apologized that sometime the weights slip. After this time I noticed they had scratched the getting of my wheels which wasnt a big deal there not in the best of shape I called and informed them they said they didnt do it. Again my car drive fine for about a day this time then it got were it shook so bad on the highway my hands were falling asleep from the vibration of e steering wheel. This time I took it back to the main store in Springfield were I started to tell the manager about my problem he was nice a d said dont get onto him about it it wasnt his shop. He didnt care that they scratched my wheels since they werent vperfect to begin with. I made can appointment with there shop to get my tires rebalanced again when I got to the shop I told the lady what I was there for very nicely. The manager stepped in and threatened me not to talk bad about his Ozark shop that they do great work and my wheels are junk is the whole problem. I walked out and will never return again they did the worst job ever and there managers are very rude.

When I need my car serviced this is where I will go. Staff is great knowledgeable and keep records of work done to your vehicle.

Ive been going to Mitchem Tire and Wheel in Ozark for about 15 years now for tires and automotive work. I live in Ash Grove and find the drive to Ozark worthwhile to get such good service.

Two bad experiences with a fill-in manager that does not want to work. First time, I had a loose wheel and tire that I took in to have mounted. It was a saturday and all the service bays were open with nobdoy waiting except for one trailer that they were replacing one tire on the side of the building on. The manager told me it would take a few hours for my wheel and tire to try to get me to take my business elsewhere. I told him I would drop it off and go over to village inn and eat break fast . I did and watched from the window. They were done with that trailer in 15 minutes. They had mine done by the time i was done eating and all 3 employees were back to standing around again when i got back over there. He said they got somebody freed up to do it. LOL. This guy just does not want to work period! Could you trust somebody that is this lazy and does not want to work with any kind of service work on your car not to cut corners at every chance that he gets? He was eating at the front counter ! TOO FUNNY!! SINCE POSTING THIS HONEST REVIEW TO HELP CUSTOMERS AVOID THE SITUATION I WAS IN-- THERE HAVE BEEN (4) PHONEY POSITIVE REVIEWS POSTED WITHIN HOURS. THEY WERE ALL TRUMPED UP BY THE STORE ITSELF. JUST ANOTHER WAY TO TRY TO MISLEAD CUSTOMERS INSTEAD OF CORRECT THE REAL ISSUES. AT LEAST MINE WAS HONEST !!!
