A very small home town Asian market. With many Japanese products. It is nice to see a unique stores that is still around. Owners are extremely nice and helpful. I visited the market today with my husband and I am certainly glad he was there, otherwise I would have gone CRAZY buying too many of the fabulous things for sale!!! The owners were so nice and very helpful. They even directed me to their fresh noodles thereby saving me from the inevitable torture of attempting my own. Very well stocked. This is a jewel in downtown Oxnard.

Store is small but they have lots of things and really good snacks. The lady is really nice and she is always greeting people when they come in.

I love this market. Its been here as long as I can remember and has all of those interesting things youre looking for.

Ive been shopping here for almost 40 years now and Im so happy to see the same owners when I visit the store. They have everything I like from Korean, Japanese and Chinese foods and snacks that I grew up appreciating.

Parking was an issue, but once I found a spot, the store itself is wonderful - lots of hard-to-find items and a friendly clerk to help me.

OMG I love this wonderful little Japanese family-owned market. Its also a great place to pick up pandemic supplies and PP&E safely.Observe the signs, like masks required as you enter this spic and span market.After you enter, theres sale posters on the walls, frozen and refrigerated items to your rear and right. Tea, condiments, jams and compote to you left, and a few isles if household essentials, as well as Japanese, Korean, and other Asian staples and culinary delights.I filled a basket with some super affordable spices, oils, dried mushrooms, mochi, laver,The husband and wife who run the store gave me thoughtful advice, and a free box, with tenderly handwrapped up purchases in recycled newsprint, so nothing would break. Thanks Asahi Market!

Great selection of Japanese products and groceries. I love the roasted eel! Its very hard to find so I bought more than a dozen of them. They have all of my favorite ramen noodles including Curry style. Definitely will be back for more supplies.

My go to Japanese grocery in Oxnard. They have most of the items you need for your Asian lunch/dinner menu. They have very friendly, helpful, nice staff/owners. They also sell some Korean and Chinese products. I get excited whenever I go to this store.

Although the store itself is well stocked and has an ample amount of produce and a large variety of different Asian ingredients as well as fresh frozen produce, the costumer service is rather sub par. Whenever I go into the store to roam the halls looking for the ingredients and products that I require I notice that the old lady cashier follows me wherever I go and magically appears behind me, almost as if she specifically keeps a close eye on me and only me and thinks that I am a high risk costumer who might shoplift or shoot the place up. Keep in mind however that I dont carry a backpack or a large coat, I walk in with only jeans and a shirt. I am a tan individual and yes one could consider me to be darked skin but I would never in my entire life shoplift or steal anything, I am a good Christian boi and a proud graduate of Squidward Community College of Florida. I felt discriminated against and this experience overall brought great immeasurable disappointment and ruined my day. Well then, I shall take my business elsewhere and I shall never return again..........Well, maybe I could give them another chance and let bygones be bygones, I mean they do carry morning rice drink beverage and big daddy loves his rice drink early in the morning, oh yeah bro

Nice people and plenty of parking, bought Saki, eel sauce, duck sauce, shrimp, and pork pot stickers, and pre rolled spring rolls and a small bottle of dry Saki for under $31 really helpful owners!!

I have come to this place for almost 32years by now. I like their improvements. Frozen section is more organized than before.

I love this place because we like to make California rolls and here I always find the ingredients I need, seaweed, crabmeat, ponzu. Nice customer service.

Sandra fish used to work here and used to go to school smelling like fish. Thats how she got her name.. You can buy Kim chi here. Asahi Market is the greatest authentic market in the area. They also sell those dead baby bird eggs, ballot. Phillipino delicacy.

I found everything I needed to make sushi. They have a nice selection of Sake.

We can find all the product we want, or need without driving 1 and a half hour for theme things. Very nice people .

Love the people they did have the coffee I was looking for. Showed them a package of it and they ordered it for me I get it there all the time.

I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed this place before! Been coming here since 2012, and I can honestly say this is the best Asian Market in Ventura county. The owners are very friendly and very helpful. They have all things needed to make delicious Korean food. They even have 단무지 for the Gimbap. If they don’t have something in stock that you can find at the Korean market in LA they are also willing to stock it for you if it’s possible for them to order it. This place is fantastic!

This is a great little asian market. Reasonably priced, some hard to find food items, decent fresh produce.

It has all the foods you miss from Japan, Korea, and/or China. They also have lovely bowls and sets for sale. The prices are quite reasonable. I recommend the red bean buns.

I just love this ancient, 1 stop shop for ALL my Asian cooking needs. From Sashimi grade Tuna and Salmon to sauces, seasonings and beautiful bowls to put it in, its all here. Super friendly and helpful owners/staff as well.

They got a decent selection of sushi grade fish and other stables like frozen udon noodles, large bags of rice, etc. The store has been open since before 1920!!! Family run business.

For such a smaller Asian grocery store, they were well stocked, and had a good variety of goods. We definitely will be back here, may be the most complete Asian market in the area.

I shopped here since i was a little baby my family loves it and the korean couple who owns the place are always polite. No other place can beat this store when it comes to asian snacks and drinks. They also are advertising korean lessons for their church which i took and was amazing. :)

Funky little Asian market in the heart of old town Oxnard. We went to find some ingredients for Korean food and found many of them there: drid seaweed, kimchee, sesame oil, noodles, rice flour, many types of chili peppers. However, no fresh veggies. Some Asian pears, and other fruit. Very nice owners, very helpful. I will be going back often.
