HUGE yarn section with several aisles of choices. Every variety imaginable. And the loom section has some good choices, including if you like knitting afghan blankets. Well organized store, right next to Sams Club. Has shaded parking in front, at least the time of day I was there.

The girl in the fabric department was over the top helpful. I know nothing about patterns, fabric, sewing so I told her someone was making the dress I brought to the store for her to see. She immediately jumped into action, she was fun, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Give that girl a raise!

Im so glad I went in this store, I had came for some polymer clay at Hobby Lobby but bought my set at JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts instead. Totally more of a fabric and yarn barn. Great help with saving money though. Just dont forget to tell the cashier you got a coupon, it save me 40%. I cant wait to go visit again and check out the new items.

If I could give this store zero stars I would. The workers here are incredibly rude. I walked in looking for some fabric and asked one of the workers if I can get some help she looked at me up-and-down which made me feel really uncomfortable and I felt like I was being judge she proceeded to ignore me she went on her walkie talkie and called someone over to help me she didn’t speak a single word to me and completely messed up my day. The cashier also had an attitude. When I walk into a store I want great service that is the main part of any store experience. I do not recommend going here at all.

Definitely a fabric and yarn store but I did find my polymer clay there. The store was neat organized and the staff was helpful and friendly especially since I went on at 9:30pm right before they closed also.

The prices here were pretty reasonable they had a lot of specials going on this past weekend. The reason I’m giving them three stars is because I had a couple of questions on some prices and the young female at the cutting station looked at me and said that next time I had questions regarding the prices that I should go to aisle two and I’ll six and check the prices myself instead of asking her.I didn’t say anything back to her but I thought to myself this is what you get paid for don’t you.. I won’t be going back to this location.

It was quite busy, and a waiting line to get fabric cut. Then another waiting line for cashier. I like that fabric bolts are sorted by fabric type, although found linen in several places, and bolts have contents of fabric written on them. Also sorted by color. Even good selection of upholstery and curtain fabrics.

Hard to get someone to assist you with fabric. Prices differ from online with no explanation. Coupons not accepted in store. Cashier stated only online.

The embroidery thread color selection is epic.

I understand being short staffed during this Covid pandemic however I believe this store is inefficiently managed.I ordered a couple of items to be picked up curbside that they stated were in stock at the time I placed the order. By the time they fulfilled the order...ten days and multiple calls later, one of my items were out of stock.I will definitely not be patronizing this particular Joanns again. Very disappointed.

At their recommendation, I tried the farmer double bacon burger. It was huge but, mediocre and quite pricey. And you would think that you would get more than 4 onion rings for $5.Maybe I just ordered the wrong stuff...

Store employee was not helpful at all.

I did the same day curbside pick up, and hadnt heard from them for four hours. Since I was in the area I went to the curbside location and called them. Found out that the same day orders are backed up, so its more like 4-5 days. If I want I could go in and shop. Since it was not an essential order, and and I didnt want to look around the store for my small three items, I just had them cancel it. Now the person on the phone was polite and helpful, and they answered right away. My review is more for the website saying that it would be same day, and having their employees deal with any backlash.

Great store with great staff

Picked up what I needed and a bolt on the clearance table. I told the Girl at the cutting table this is on clearance, and she said ok. After cutting All of my fabric and getting the receipt I started toward the registers. I then noticed she rang the clearance fabric up at $8.99 instead of $2.70 yard. I went back and she then told me it was NOT on clearance! She insisted someone must have put it in the wrong place. Ok great. I went back only to find NONE of the fabric was marked clearance! I went back and told her and all she said was Im so sorry. REALLY?? After waiting over 20 minutes in line Outside in the heat with a mask on ( they let 2 people in at a time) I was NOT able to get the fabric I needed to make masks! The LEAST they could have done was discount the fabric they had to cut for me! The rudeness of this employee was uncalled for. As I was in line 20 minutes before closing time, at 6 pm, she was already telling people trying to come in that they were ALREADY CLOSED! This very young girl decided the store was closed HERSELF, NOT A manager, and turned people away until 2 women demanded to be let in because it was still 20 MINUTES before posted closing time. VERY Dissatisfied and DISAPPOINTED With this Joanns, and will NOT be returning! Super Misleading HUGE Sign outside said up to 90% off, but there was ABSOLUTELY ZERO items 90% off!!

I came here to get some things to make some candles with and they had everything I needed. The store looked like it had a good stock and everything was clean. The store wasnt messy like some of the other stores Ive been to that are Hobby and Craft stores, this one was clean. I walked up to the checkout counter and was greeted very nicely and with a smile. Good customer service and everything works smoothly. Id recommend.

A very good craft shop for many an old and forgotten craft/crafts such as sewing, needle point, crochet, clothes, dresses, all kinds of stuff and very helpful staff. Dont be in a hurry there, its a welcome slower pace. Look around youll find things youd forgotten you could use. Great Place

Absolutely horrific treatment of a pregnant mother, trying to get out and about with her twins. Employees like the ones at this location are the reason mothers would rather stay at home. Being a mom is hard enough, there’s no need to be an absolute horrific person to someone just trying to do some shopping. The employees and management at this location need some extensive customer service training.

Long wait. Nobody knew how to direct me to what I needed. I was looking for a chroma key green fabric and the girl that helped me didnt really know what I meant.If she said Im sorry we dont have that fabric at this particular time, I would have been ok with it. But she gave me the first one she found (not what I was looking for) without looking for a better choice.So I walked out. Maybe it was just a busy day idkI just bought my fabric on Amazon

This is always so busy! If you are in a hurry you might have to plan your trip differently. I love coming here with my mom. We can spend a long time in here and always spend more money than planned!

We travelled from Carpinteria to Oxnard to get supplies for my grandchildren-- we needed fabric to make our own Disney years-- we arrived and chose our fabric and at 8 minutes to close walked to get it cut and the girl very rudely said that the ladys fabric she was cutting was last! I explained situation as I had my 10 month old grand daughter and 5 year old grandson and 2 daughters that we only needed 1/2 yard of 2 fabrics she refused rudely and we left!!!

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!! People do have more than one child at a time! I understand safety is a concern when children stand in a cart but maybe if you had double carts (because twins do exist) with WORKING buckles you wouldn’t have to be rude to mothers just trying to get items to make something for their children.

I get all my fabric here. The customer service is great. Theyre always knowledgeable about their products. Some employees will offer tips and helpful suggestions on my projects. I do wish they had a larger variety of trending prints though.

Went in for upholstery fabric. Found a lot of half price. Was able to get 4 yards of upholstery fabric for $12 for my headboards. The store is a little cramped and hard to get a cart through the aisles. Otherwise its a good store.

Conveniently located right beside the Hobby Lobby, Joannes Fabrics not only boats a wide variety of craftable necessities but a kind staff and great customer service. The cleanliness of this location is wonderful and the ability to pull up a coupon on your phone in line and save an extra twenty dollars is always great.

Kindness goes a long way, something the employees at this store need to be taught by what a friend experienced today. When did it become okay for employees/the manager to scream at a paying customer?! This store is due for some serious customer service training when a manager takes the side of her rude employee and refuses to apologize to an upset customer. Disgusting. Please don’t give this store your business.

Staff is really helpful and nice. Im a male in a female store, didnt feel out of place or weird. They had some awesome deals. They even gave me extra 50% off cuz they were an inch short of two yards which I wanted. Ill take that any day.

Good selection and helpful staff. Only 3 people ahead of me in line and it took forever to check out. They should probably get people checked out faster or open up a 2nd register.

Worst experience ever. Staff is too busy chatting and gossiping about personal life when customers need help. Stood at the cutting table waiting to ask a question and not one stepped away from the personal conversation to help. Even more frustrating when staff who work at a fabric store cant answer questions about types of materials was told to Google it. At least staff should know basics of sewing. Its frustrating everytime I go there as I am new to sewing and have so many questions. I wish I lived closer to ventura because I would much rather go somewhere where staff is very knowledgeable and can actually help. Im at the point where I would go to the fabric store in ventura but they close too early and I cant always get there. Its very disappointing every time I go to Joanns I end up spending more time in that store looking for things and help then needed. I wish they would have classes/training for staff to teach them more.

When a employee is rude to a pregnant mother with young children and said mother calls to complain, the manager has two options: 1) understand that she is upset (reasonably so) and find a solution to appease PAYING customer and management 2) show that she is the reason why her employees are rude bc that is the behavior she models. I also didn’t realize screaming at a paying customer on the phone (as in this case) or in person was ever exceptable.Joanna’s has some major retraining that needs to be done in the store or better yet fire all of its rude employees (not just at this store) and try again with better employees or close the doors on this store at a minimum. I can tell you Joann’s has lost a lot of business because of its effort to as opposite to kid friendly as possible and it’s rude employees.

Rude employees including management. Not friendly to families with young children and the manager isn’t even willing to apologize for a rude employee. Will never go to any Joann’s again if they can’t train management how to be decent in customer service.

The store is cleaner than before on some days. Big improvements in the fabrics and pattern drawer organization and stocking. Still not five stars; bad attitude from some staff, the phone will ring for days while employees have personal conversations, and knowledgeable service is still hit and miss.

I had a really aweful experience with online order and customer service, however the ladies working in this store are amazing and tried their best to help me with my order, while online customer service over the phone was absolutely terrible and rude! Will never order onlinr again! Jennifer the manager in the store really tried to go above and beyond for me, so thank you for easing my issues today, while online customer service was rude and terrible! The store here does not have a huge selection, is my only bad thing to say about in store at this location.
