Very unique shopping experience. You really have to take your time and peek in every nook and cranny. The displays are very heavily layered. Dont be afraid to move stuff around. And if you are the assistant will be more than glad to help you. Every time I go there I walk out with the least one piece. Be sure to go next door to their display of furniture.

As a historic building in Oxford, Ohio, Bird House Antiques is the perfect place to find rare antiques. I love browsing through the different displays to get inspiration for my next DIY project or find my newest home decor item.

This is probably my favorite antique store by far! I have shopped here on numerous occasions and always come out with something great. Bertie & the others are really nice and they are flexible on prices. Will be coming back soon! 🤗❤

I went in the store to browse for furniture and knick knacks. The store seemed dirty with overcrowded aisles,, restricting movement, and i felt the latter almost certainly did not meet Ohio or national fire codes for aisle clearances, amongst other potential violations. Its been a few years since I did a fire inspection ( retired now ), so maybe the code has changed ( dubious ), but, bottom line, it didnt seem safe to me. That said, the prices seemed mostly inflated, but I thought I spied a couple of fair deals, and was interested in a typewriter, dresser, and, incongruously, a zebra. When looking for a salesman, however, I came across Trump ads the store was promoting. Now, Im all about freedom of speech, but when supporting fascism, I believe there should be consequences for that. My grandfather fought people like Trump when he opposed Hitler and Mussolini in WWII, and I served in two US armed services ( Marines and Navy ) to protect our country from the same kind of fascism this store keeper supports. I decided in good conscience I could not make a purchase from such a proprietor. If I could give zero stars,I believe that would be more appropriate, but one will have to suffice.

Love this store. Its just packed with treasures. Service was friendly as well.

I love antique stores, but not this one. The lady running the place in my opinion takes advantage of the community. Her prices were firm the day I was there she was not willing to bargain at all. She had Christmas sweaters for ugly Christmas sweaters on display from 25 to $45. When I left there I went to the Goodwill, she was in there buying all their Christmas sweaters for two to $4. Im just guessing but Im thinking the college kids couldnt even go to the Goodwill and buy stuff because she cleaned them out so they would be forced to come to her shop and get old sweaters for high prices.

Nice stuff too crowded and stuffed prices ok but some are out of control.

Its the usual that you would expect from an Antique Shop. The quirk to this one is that its filled with vintage Miami gear that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Perfect for your college football loving father.
