Im going to refine this review to include my most recent experience with Expert Car Care.To start, this is my first time writing a review, however my experience has been so negative I felt the need. I walked into Expert Car Care with a single, simple, and clear request. I needed a hose clamp installed onto my exhaust, and this was all that I asked for. I watched the mechanic pull my car onto the rack and also exit the rack, it was worked on for at most 10 minutes. When I got the bill, I was charged for the installment of the clamp ($25) and an inspection fee, which was $50. I was confused, so I asked about the fee and they told me they had to do an inspection since it was pulled into the garage. They also told me they gave me a cheaper price, however I did not ask for my car to be inspected in the first place. I just needed them to put one single clamp on and that was all. Furthermore, what kind of inspection that cost $50 and is done under 10 minutes, mind you the clamp was also installed during this period as well? I left the shop, having paid close to $85 after taxes, for them to essentially install one clamp. Annoyed, I get into my car, and notice a piece of plastic jutting out from my hood. It was my battery cover that wasnt put back on, and was smashed from my hood against the windshield (see image). The mechanic drove around the building and didnt notice that?? I followed up with a formal complaint via Better Business Bureau for a partial refund as I clearly did not receive an inspection, at least not one that costs $50. There was a prompt response, and I was told I would receive a FULL refund. Heres the EXACT message:Levi,We are sorry about the miscommunication on the inspection fee. We have new training employees ever since the covid-19. We accept full responsibility for the error. Please contact James (his email) to schedule a full-refund!thank youI walk back in, and waited close to 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. The heavier, bald guy finally greeted me. He told me he was going to refund me for the inspection fee. So I told him that it was suppose to be a full refund and showed him the email I received. He became extremely hostile, and started to argue with me. He texted his boss to confirm the refund for the inspection fee only, and the boss responded that it was correct. I asked to speak with him as I was told different, and was completely denied. The guy continued to argue with me, although it was more him telling me that I was in the wrong and basically that I was stupid. I really couldnt even defend myself as he would just cut me off and talk over me. Ive never been into a professional establishment and been so blatantly disrespected in my life. I got the partial refund, which is fine by me honestly, but Im not sure why I was told I would get a full refund.In conclusion, I feel that they tried to pull one over on a college kid. I assume this because right before I received the initial bill, I overheard the guy at the front desk ask the bald guy what to charge me. Its crazy to charge someone $85 for the installment of a single clamp. My overall experience has been extremely negative. If I could rate this place -5/5, I would. If my car broke down near there, I would rather PUSH it to another mechanic shop. Never going back.

Expert Car Care in Oviedo has gone above and beyond to help me take care of my car. Theyve been extremely accommodating and personable. I was even given rides to work when I dropped it off and when I needed to pick up my car again while I was at work. 10/10 would recommend. These guys take care of their customers!

I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Although I had appointment they mentioned they were backed up. I didn’t have to wait too long. They rotated the tires and changed the oil in a good amount of time. I mentioned the car sometimes pulls to the right. They checked the car and stated it didn’t need an alignment. After rotating the tires it wasn’t pulling to the right anymore. Any other place would have charged me an alignment fee. Their honesty has me highly recommending this Expert Car Care facility.

When I went to this place I thought I might be treated differently for using a coupon, so glad I was wrong. These guys were really awesome. They got to my car very fast (less than a hour total time) They checked everything out and told me I needed new brakes as well. I couldnt afford that now but they did not pressure me or give me a hard sell. They gave me my print out and told me hope to see you soon. I really did enjoy the time that I spent there which is definitely a good thing. Thanks again guys for everything.

This is my second time at Expert Car Care at the Alabama location and I am still just as impressed with their work ethic and straight to the point demeanor as I was the first time. They have also been extremely accommodating with my schedule and it was greatly appreciated. 6/5 stars for me, and I will be a returning customer!

This is the BEST mechanic shop in central Florida. These people have always helped me no matter the situation. I won’t be going anywhere else and you shouldn’t either. I’ve had them do minor things from oil changes to major engine work. They typically have my car done in the same day, which we all know is super important. So if you’re looking for an honest, kind, fair and affordable mechanic shop these are your people! Thank you guys for taking such good care of me!

Amazing service! Took a care in for a flat tire and they were identify it was a TPMS Sensor. Joshua was very professional and was able to accommodate us in to their schedule.

Cooling system repair, thermostat housing replaced.Had my car towed in after overheating and breaking down on the highway Sunday. Called them Monday morning and they got back to me and explained the needed repair and the cost. I gave them the go ahead to do the repair Monday evening and my car was fixed the next morning. I found the staff to be friendly and courteous and the repair seems to be a success as I drove the car home about 50 miles without issue. Received a 10% discount with my AAA card too. Overall the experience was very positive. Recommended

This was my first time at Expert Car Care and I couldnt be happier. My car was completed within 24 hours, and I was even charged about $100 less than what I was quoted on the phone. They were very transparent and sent photos of everything they needed to work on before starting, and everyone I spoke to was courteous and professional. I usually really dislike getting work done on my car (as was evident by my very worn out brake pads...) because of the hassle, but they made it very easy.

I had my car towed in on a Saturday afternoon due to a flat tire and dented rim. The shop didnt even begin diagnosis until Monday.They held my car for 6 days. I brought my own rim on Wednesday afternoon hoping it would speed up repair time (no delivery wait) as this is my only means of transportation. I had to practically harass them for updates on the car. Called in on Friday after nearly a WEEK to see if it was drivable. Was told it was ready for pick up and functional. Perfect. Go to pay and pick up the car and it wouldnt start. Engine wouldnt even turnover, likely due to keys being left in the ignition resulting in a dead battery. Had to sit for another 2 hours before they offered to jump start the car. The battery is less than a year old. Even if due to faulty battery, the shop should have never given the okay for pickup. Having car trouble? Go ANYWHERE else. Highly unprofessional, untimely, overpriced, and frustrating. 0/10 would not recommend.Update: After jumpstarting the car I noticed a light had been left on (considering they held the car for 6 days who knows how long its been on). Definitely wasnt on when the car was towed in. Would explain the dead battery. Luckily, its under warranty.

Had my car looked at and now some things are off with it. Idk what they did but it was running fairly fine before. After the crazy long list of recommendations they gave me I wouldnt be surprised if one of the techs messed something up. Had the car checked about 3 months ago with nowhere near the amount of work they reccomended. Something isnt adding up. Bringing it somewhere else today for a second opinion.

I love transparency. They tell you what you need and why. Upfront about the cost which makes me feel like i can trust them. Their waiting room is stylish and clean with complimentary coffee and water. Most places waiting rooms smell like tires and grease but this place in quite enjoyable. Not to mention I like their choice of music and their company. Thank you for being better than most. Loyalty goes a long way, and Sometimes its the smalls things that can make all the difference.

Went in for a wheel alignment, but after the initial inspection they let us know that the tie rod was bad (which I already suspected). They gave us a lot of info and were very helpful and kind.

Called to schedule my oil change when I came in they had no record of my appointment. Came in the next day took over an hour to get done. Claimed the oil pan gasket was leaking and did not replace when they were the ones who changed my oil previously. Also claimed fired were dry rotted when I bought the car from a dealership not too long ago.

The customer service was great. Everyone I spoke to was understanding and straight forward. They explained the billing before and let me know everything they found after without adding a bunch of random things to the bill (this has happened to me at other shops.) Additionally, if they can’t find a decent priced piece they’ll tell you instead of immediately going with the first piece they find. I’ll definitely be going back whenever my car acts up. Also, if you have to wait for your car, there’s a comfy lounge to wait in.

Called up looking to have a power steering switch replaced on my sons 97 Jeep Wrangler... The price was fair and the phone communication was excellent. Its a Father/Son operation which is important to me. Had my son drive down immediately... job was completed quickly and we are excited to report that we found great mechanic near University of Central Florida.

First, I know nothing about cars so the fact that Nick took the time to break down the problem with my car and used terms and examples (non car related) so I would understand impressed me so much! They let me know exactly the cost and breakdown before they started working on it, their communication is impeccable. I needed a moment to decide if I should fix my problem now or wait and they put my car aside and said take your time. Most places would have rushed me and taken advantage of the fact that I dont know my car and put extra fees in there for things I didnt need. I trust this place 100% and recommend everyone go there!

I just re-located to Orlando and was so happy when Auto Zone (next door) referred me here to have my tire air pressure checked. One of my tires had a nail in it. I took my car (Audi A6) there to be repaired after someone ran a stop sign and hit my back driver side. Initially they gave me a verbal quote of $1100.00 because my rim had to be sent out. Insurance (from the other driver) only allowed $800 with me paying my $500 deductible. A few days later Expert Car Care said they could do the work for the amount insurance allowed.They were timely and very nice which was great! But I got my car later in the afternoon when they were closing and planned to look at the car the next morning as the lightning wasn’t great when I got home.The next day I looked at the car and everything seemed good, but about 1-2 weeks later I was walking my car and realized they never replaced the rim, rather they moved it to the front of the car (same side). I was able to tell because the tire was messed up from when the other driver hit me. I didn’t go back because I figured they would argue it with me anyway, so what’s the point??I should have known if they quoted me higher and were able to do it much cheaper than something was up. I was hesitant on using this place to begin with due to the fact that my car isn’t cheap. I guess this is definitely a lesson learned...the hard way!!

I was extremely short on time when I came here to drop off my car to get serviced, and I was VERY impressed by how quickly they got my car back to me. I came in around 2pm to drop my car off to get a turn signal light bulb replaced, and I needed to get to a class I had at 4:30 pm. They told me that they were a little bit backed up and that it might be a little while before they would have my car ready. But, at around 3pm I received a call from them and they said that my car was ready to go!!! I was so pleased that they had my car ready way earlier than I had expected. I had enough time to come back to the shop, pick up my car, and make it back to school with enough time to get to my 4:30 pm class. I will definitely be coming back here when I need something for my car. Outstanding service overall!!!

I have been going to Expert Car Care for many years. Ive taken my current car there, along with my previous car to get any maintenance or repair work done. I recently had my car in the body shop with Manny, who did a fantastic job! Car looked brand new. I would recommend this shop to any of my family or friends. They do not hike up their prices or gouge you and they dont swindle you for vehicle repairs that arent needed like most other shops or dealerships.

I have been bringing all of my vehicles here since about 2004. Not only are they fair and honest, they give military and UCF discounts to qualified folks. Beware!!! So I brought my jeep in for a thermostat repair. The shop did the repair but when I got in my car to drive it home my stereo no longer worked. The mechanic stated that it was working when he drove it. He brought the vehicle back into the shop, stated he changed the fuse but that didnt fix it, so the stereo just broke by itself. He then suggested that I go back to best buy and buy the same stereo from best buy, install the new one and return the old one.(he says he does it all the time) So, the solution he gave to fix my stereo, that he broke, was to steal one from best buy. I feel that there are so many issues with this type of customer service. I am highly disappointed and will definitely be taking all of my vehicles elsewhere in the future.

I first took my car to Tires Plus for an oil change because I have a credit card with them. before they did the oil change they came out and told me I HAVE TO replace 2 new tires because of safety reasons, a transmission flush and an alignment and than told me it would over $500 to do everything! I told them I dont have that kind of money at took my keys and left. A friend told me about Expert Car Care on Alafaya Trail and said that he trusts them a lot. I took my car there and was honest with them and even told them what Tires Plus quoted me. The mechanic walked me out to my vehicle and showed me why he suggested I replace my tires, instead of telling me that I have to. He said that I still had good tread left but it was up to me to change them. Zach up front was very kind and gave me a quote for $350. Even with knowing how much Tires Plus quoted me he beat their price by a lot. Than he asked if I was a UCF student, and proceeded to give me another 15% off! They got me in and out in a reasonable amount of time and I was so pleased with the work that they did that I will definitely be back. Thank you so much Expert Car Care for a great visit!!!!!

The mechanics here are great. They are honest and super helpful!! They do not oversell you ok things you dont need and they do great work. I have been here many times and it is a great place for young students who have no clue what they are doing with their cars. My roommate went here for an oil change and an alignment. After about an hour they told him they couldnt do the alignment. He went to another place for the alignment and they discovered oil flooding out leaking everywhere. To make matters worse he was charged for parts that he didnt receive.100% do not recommend

When James left Miami years ago to open Expert Car Care, I lost the comfort of taking my cars and trucks to a local shop that I trusted, without question, to fix them correctly at a fair price. James is a stickler for perfection and getting it right the first time. Most of my repairs have been small so I made do with a local shop that does OK work.My wife was recently in an accident that did $7000 of damage to my 2006 King Ranch. James is the only one I trust with a repair of that magnitude so I drove the 4 hours to get it into his Oviedo body shop. Manny is a meticulous body man who works absolute magic and my King Ranch looks like it just rolled off the assembly line. I cant believe he was able to get my truck looking so good. The work was done, but Manny noticed the truck didnt track right in a test drive. The rear axle was bent and the entire rear end needed replacing. I dont believe an ordinary shop would have caught the bent axle.Expert Car Care is an appropriate name, as I believe that is what you get when you take your vehicle to James and his crew of experts. You local Central Florida people should be thankful to have a place you can trust to do the work right at a fair price. The fact that I am willing to drive 4 hours to get my truck to Expert speaks for my opinion of their work.Expert Car Care rocks.

Nice enough people but really only capable of doing minor repairs, tires, oil changes, etc. I have been going here for 5 years and every time I have had an issue. This latest has to be the final straw. I spent hundreds of dollars to change the engine mounts and lower control arm bushings on my Volvo at their recommendation (which always happens on every visit). After their repair and after numerous returns to get the wheels aligned and to fix the rattle in my front end I finally took my vehicle to a Volvo specialist. Once there they showed me that bolts were missing from my engine mounts and that the bushings on the lower control arm were installed backwards. No wonder my front end sounded like it was about to come apart and no wonder they could never get my alignment correct. They advertise cheaper prices but in the end the $600+ that I had to spend to correct their mistakes would have been cheaper and I will never recoup the money I gave them (I tried). So all in all I just gave Expert Car Care $600 to mess up my vehicle. This is 1 of about 6 problems I have had with this shop. Like I said, nice enough people but if you want to get your car fixed take it to a someone that specializes in that make, you will spend less money and it will be done right. It took me 5 years to figure that out. If you need an oil change then go to Expert Car Care.

Do not come here for Intoxaloc installation. Very expensive. They have no knowledge of the actual system. Big guy at the front desk inappropriate and rude.

Really happy with them. Theyre friendly and honest. They did a second opinion for us and basically said that the work didnt need to be done after the dealership had told us it did. They also fixed an issue with our other car with no hassle and its been perfect ever since (6 months later). Highly recommended.

What a helpful team!! I was having some series car trouble with my 2002 Jeep and they were extremely helpful and explanatory through the whole process and most importantly HONEST. I was able to get my car running quickly and smoothly without having to worry about being pushed to fix things that werent broken. Highly recommend them!

They also offer discounts and coupons, which is great for those on a tight budget. Their staff is friendly and courteous and always willing to answer my questions. Its great to have a car shop you can trust!

Scottie and his team of professionals took excellent care of me after a horrible experience I had across the street from them with another shop. This is a honest place where you can have quality work done and not worry about dishonesty surfacing just to gain a profit. I will continue to take my car here for any issues and encourage others to do the same. Having mechanics you can trust speaks monuments.
